Expert Roofing & Basement Waterproofing

The crew were hard workers and got my basement waterproofed in only five days - I was pretty amazed at how fast they worked. Expert responds very quickly to all inquiries and it is very obvious that they care about the quality of their work and making sure their customers are satisified. It was costly, but it is fabulous to have a completely dry basement when it rains!

Expert Roofing & Basement Waterproofing employee Matt was on time, very professional & informative. After getting up on the roof of our two story home, he could tell that our problem required a plumber & not a roofer like we had assumed. He even took pictures of the broken pipe to show us what we would need done. Even though Matt could not repair our leaky vent pipe he did do an awesome job of representing his company & we will not hesitate to call Expert Roofing for any roofing problems we may have in the future.

I placed a call at 8:30am on Monday, July 9th. At 11am, Lee Mathew from Expert Roofing and Basement Waterproofing was at my door. He performed a thorough inspection - both inside my attic and on the roof and quickly diagnosed the cause of the leak. He provided me with photos that I can use with my builder to have a long term repair - and even took the time and materials to seal the base of the chimney (where the leak is) with sealant. Great professional service and outstanding advise on how to repair this long term. I couldn't ask for better response!

The work went very well. Every person from the gentleman who came over to do the quote, to the gentlemen who came to do the work were very professional and kind. I felt this was the right company to hire by the integrity and honest workmanship they possessed. Prior to hiring them I heard great things and took time to read reviews like these off Angie's List and then when the gentleman came to do the quote I believed they were the right company to hire. Waterproofing is not cheap, but I believed they gave me a good price. I would with out a doubt recommend this company to someone looking to have there basement done or any other work done that they offer.

Unfortunately as the process started what we thought was going to be a simple tear off and new roof was not the case due to the company who put the last roof on. I ended up paying thousands more than I had planned because of the job that was done previously before I owned the home. My advice, do not use Sherriff Goslin. Thanks to them, Expert had quite the job on their hands and I had unexpected expenses because of what they did. Expert was thorough, spent a ton of time with me, answered every question I had, and did a beautiful job. Even though we had some unexpected things come up, I had a great experience with Expert and am happy knowing my roof was done right this time!

Excellent! Everyone was extremely courteous, trustworthy, and did an excellent job. They cleaned up when they were done and did not leave any mess behind. I would totally recommend this company.

The roofers came out right on schedule and worked diligently with minimal intrusion on a complete tear off, replacement, and new gutters. They cleaned up daily and in three days were complete. The roof looks amazing and you would never even know they were there. I would definitely recommend them.

Overall Expert Roofing dis an amazing job. The quality of work was outstanding, and the level of customer service was over the top. The job foreman "Caleb" did a great job keeping me informed and explaining why they had to replace some sheets of plywood. Caleb also went over and above fixing a small issue. The other impressive item was the salesman "Lee" showed up to see how the progress was going, Most of the time salesman just want the sale and do not care about the follow up. Not with Lee from Expert Roofing. He stopped by to ensure the clean up was done and he even checked for nails when he came to pick up the check. In matter of fact both Lee and Caleb spent about 30 minutes going through my yard looking for nails. I would recommend Expert Roofing to all my friends and family a truly professional company.

Lee came to give us an estimate to repair a leak above our bay window. Even though it was early evening, he insisted on finding the cause of the leak by running a water test. He persisted into the darkness caulking all areas where water was leaking in.He even came back on a Sunday to make sure the problem was solved. NO MORE WATER LEAKAGE!!! We had this problem for over 20 years and no other roofer has ever been able to solve the problem or take the time to find out what was wrong. Not only is he the most knowledgeable roofer I have ever had out, he is caring, honest, trustworthy and fair.

I was not disappointed! Lee arrived and surveyed the situation and knew exactly what to look for. He went up on the roof and discovered shoddy work done around the smokestack by a previous roofer who re-shingled the house a few years ago (I replaced 3 skylights a year after the previous roofer re-shingled the house due to leaks around the skylights causing serious ceiling damage). Lee sealed and fixed the area around the smokestack but also advised I may need to replace the smokestack in the future as it was loose fitting, which I witnessed when he pressed against it. He took the time to call someone with expertise in replacing these types of metal smokestacks and left a message that I may need his services in the future. But, Lee was not finished yet! Although I called him for just that small area around the smokestack, he went out of his way to inspect the whole roof for imperfections and checked the areas around all the skylights and pipes coming out of the roof and added sealant wherever it looked necessary. He also discovered some ridge cap shingles that weren't secured properly to the roof (more shoddy work from the previous roofer), which I witnessed when he was able to lift the end of one of them away from the roof. He secured those for me as well. My overall experience with Lee was excellent. He is a very personable guy, honest, and very professional. I would not hesitate to call him again, or refer him to anyone who needs work done on their roof.

I was impressed with Expert from the first conversation with Nicole...polite, friendly, helpful. She scheduled Shane to come out within a few days. Impressed with Shane and his "we will find and fix the problem and guarantee the work" attitude and the timeliness of being worked into the schedule. His job leader, Jesus, was professional and personable also. They took out bushes, trenched and waterproofed along part of the back of the house where a beam met the foundation in two places. After the next rain, we had water in basement again. I called Shane and he came back the next day to further analyze and scheduled his team to come out the next week. Luckily, I had out of town company who was able to remove a couple pieces of siding to gain better access to the problem areas (since Expert doesn't do that). Problem was accessed and fixed*. Since hydraulic cement was involved in the fix, tar and plastic had to be delayed a day. Shane's team was already booked out of town the next day, so Shane agreed to come finish the job himself. Though he missed that day, he came the next day when he was scheduled off, so my visiting company could get the siding back on (impressed). * I say fixed because even after the 7-9" of rain we had one day in August, the two leak places were dry. Expert also did some waterproofing, drain work and gravel in a rocked egress area. The problem here later was found out to be a clogged and broken underground drain pipe under another downspout that caused the water and dirt in the window well to enter the house. What they did though with removing excess dirt and adding gravel will allow for better drainage in the future. Their putting everything back the way it was and cleanup was excellent.

Excellent company. Workers were fantastic, kept me informed and up to date on all changes. Really Have no negative things to say. Caleb...you rock and I can't thank you enough for everything!

Everyone at Expert Roofing was wonderful to work with, especially Lee who did the initial assessment and quotations. We'd heard from neighbors that they were very satisfied with Expert Roofing and they were right! Everything was positive from Lee's initial visit, through the roof and skylight installation, to their checking twice(!) with a big magnet to make sure that there were no nails left on the ground, to the supervisor Eric being onsite as the work progressed and to do the final inspection the next day, and his observing the skylight installation (because of size, Eric had to special order one from Velux). After all was done, Lee came out again to make sure that all work was done to our satisfaction and it was! My wife and I would give them an A+ rating if you had that as an option. There might have been slightly cheaper bids we could have taken, however, if we had to do it over again, there would be no question but that Expert would be the only company we'd consider. Now, we're going to have them in to waterproof our basement that leaked in the record rains of late August in our area, We'll send a review of that project when complete.

Expert dry just finished installing a waterproofing system and egress window on my house this week. As an abridged version for this (possibly) lengthy review, I will say this: They did an exceptional job, both in the quality of their work, and the quality of their people. I would highly recommend Expert Dry's waterproofing team to anyone looking to water proof their basement/foundation. One caveat - the system has only been running for one week, and has performed admirably thus far. I will update this review in soon after the spring thaw with a summary of how it performed during more intense loading. Now, for more information: I sought out a waterproofing solution because my recently purchased 1960's poured-concrete foundation house was developing leaks in 5-6 spots around the base and sides of the basement walls. The previous owners had "dry-locked" the walls, but this resulted in trapped water, and slight mold growth around the base of the basement wall. I first spoke with Everdry Waterproofing, and was not even remotely pleased with their sales team. They used incredibly aggressive sales tactics on us, and it completely turned us off to using their company. We were initially drawn in/scared by their aggressiveness, but then changed our minds. I only mention this incident because it led to us seeking out a different company with which to do business. I found the name for "Expert Dry" off of google as the only other waterproofing business in the area, with a perfect 5 star rating. This was enough motive for me to give them a call and see what could be done. I informed their team that I had already signed with Everdry, and that I had two days to change my mind. Shane came out that night, and I was completely amazed. He was much more down to earth, and listened to my issues, rather than give me a doomsday-story about my house. Afterwards, he took some practical and simple measurements of the wet areas of the house, to get an idea of the severity of the issue. He then offered a concise explanation of the most effective solution, and even offered to throw in an egress window in the job, to allow us to completely finish our basement. What I was most impressed by (other than the lower cost and more polite demeanor) was the fact that Shane explained and quoted in 1 hour what Everdry took 3.5 hours to explain. We decided to go with Expert, obviously. They were able to schedule the work within 3 weeks, and we had to do minimal work to prepare our basement. The work crew arrived with Jesus leading them. I couldn't have asked for a better site foreman/crew lead! He very clearly explained everything that would be happening, and I was very comfortable leaving access to my house in his team's hands. They started work right away, and were quite careful to cover/move anything that could be damaged during the process. This included putting tarp everywhere that I requested, to protect the items in our basement during install. Design changes had to be made to the system due to the nature of my houses' construction, but Jesus made sure were aware of the changes before doing anything we would be uncomfortable with. The work ended up taking a Monday-Saturday, due to their having to take 1 day off for a saw breaking during the egress window install. Besides this window, all parts of the system were installed incredibly quickly and on schedule. This delay did not even bother us, because Jesus and his team were so good at working quickly and without major intrusion to the non-work areas of our house. At the end of the work, they did a normal clean up of the house. My wife and I felt that they could have cleaned a bit more effectively, and Shane responded to this request within 24 hours. He personally came out and cleaned up some areas, and then sent his team out to complete the cleanup very soon after. This extra attention to detail and keeping his customers happy AFTER the job really pushed this company from a 4 star to a strong 5 star rating. Again, I am incredibly impressed with the work, and happy I went with Expert Dry! *UPDATE* The egress window had a slight leak due to some weird concrete drying patterns. They came out within 24 hours and fixed it, and now everything is perfect!

We had an excellent experience dealing with Expert Roofing. Every step of the way was comfortable and thorough. Our old roof was examined carefully. Pictures were taken inside the attic to determine if there was any visible internal damage. They listened to our concerns and our expectations. We upgraded the shingles so that we could get great quality as well as get a full life warranty. This warranty would also transfer to a new owner if we should decide to sell the property in the future. The workers who came to put on the new roof were very knowledgeable as to what each ones roll was. They attended to every detail. Upon completion of the roof, considerable time was spent cleaning up the entire area. The grounds were gone over two times to make sure that no roofing nails would be left on the ground. All scraps were picked up. Someone also went over the entire house looking for any smudges or marks which may have been left by the workers. Another inspector came out the next day to double check on all of the work and checked again for roofing nails or any other visible thing which might need attention. In the past, some of our roofing experiences, with other companies, left much to be desired. Working with Expert Roofing was a totally positive experience. They have a great deal of pride in providing a good quality product to the customer. They want the customer to be satisfied 100%. They truly put themselves out to reach that goal. We are so happy that we decided to go with Expert Roofing, and yes, we are 100% satisfied!
