Concierge Services

I bought 3 hours of their service from Groupon. I called up and arranged the date and time and what I wanted them to do. I arranged with the lady, Barb (I believe her name was), that the people would come into the house and that I would leave the door unlocked and the dogs boarded up for them to come in. She said that was fine, just leave a detailed list of what I wanted done. I did just that. I went to work that day. Since I was teaching, I couldn't answer my cell phone. I checked my messages at lunch and I had two messages from the service women. One asking if they could come over earlier. Then another saying that they were at the house and no one answered. I called the girl back and I asked why they didn't go in. She told me no one told her she could do that. So I called Barb back and left a detailed message and asked her to call me back. She never called me back.

Found them via Groupon - Paid $49 for 3 hours of cleaning (really 1.5 hours with two cleaners) through there, and another $60 for 3 more (1.5 each) the following day. Aside from emptying trash cans and sweeping the floors, I couldn't really tell a difference. They wouldn't clean the toilet (I had planned to have them come in a third day and they said they'd get it then), they never touched the downstairs bathroom despite being asked to twice, because it hadn't been used as a bathroom in a while, just as a storage area, and needed deep cleaning. They didn't properly clean the upstairs bathroom floor despite my specifically pointing it out twice. Honestly, I'm not really sure what they actually did besides use a broom and empty some trash cans. I had a strict deadline on getting the place clean for an upcoming rental, and I had zero confidence that they'd have the place ready in time, so I cancelled the remaining services and came to angie's list, and found the highest rated cleaner, who didn't think the house had been professionally cleaned at all, and in a few hours did the whole place, top to bottom, including scrubbing floors, cleaning some of the detailed woodwork, making all the beds. I can't believe for a moment these Concierge people would have even thought of doing some of that, let alone actually succeeded. And she did it for less per person per hour than Concierge. They seemed mostly nice enough, if not terribly professional. I might hire them to run errands. I might hire them to water my plants. I definitely would never hire them to clean again. I'm listing the price as "C" for two reasons: They told me this was a discounted rate and it normally would have been $30 per person per hour; and the much, much better cleaner I hired came out to $15 per person per hour, which was not a discounted rate. (And they ended up getting a $5/person/hour tip for their excellent services)

It started out very well........the kids were personable BUT they didn't know how to clean. I blame the management and owner who never bothered to call me back. So unaccountable... they won't be in business long with that attitude.
