+ -1 moreCame out for a shower issue and garage drain. John took his time and explained everything and didn’t talk to me differently because I’m a women (a lot of contractors assume we are not knowledgeable!) Got the job done and Cleaned up before he left. Great service, will use again.

+ -1 moreIt was the worst experience you could imagine. When they re plumbed the house they did not flush the lines. As a result we had 85 years of old galvanized pipe debris end up in our faucets, water heater, shower etc. necessitating numerous call backs to repair their work. To top it off when they installed the new plumbing in the new bathroom the rookie plumber failed to cap the hot water line. They turned it on and it ran full bore in the crawl space for four hours before the general contractor detected it! The contractor had to tear out the newly installed vanity and sinks and cut a hole in the floor to get to the defective plumbing and fix it. Oh and by the way the plumbers cracked one of the sinks while removing it. In addition, they forgot to install the hand held shower when installing the overhead shower. This resulted in tearing out the drywall behind the shower to retrofit the hand held shower plumbing. Unbelievable poor quality work in every phase of the job.

+ -1 moreA pipe attached to an outdoor spigot had burst, dumping water into our basement. Mike came out the morning of the next business day, a welcome relief! He not only repaired the pipe immediately and gave a full explanation of why the accident occured, but gave us a quick walk-through of our other water connections, so we'd know how to shut off water/activate pumps for any future mishaps. Couldn't get over how fast and efficient he was about getting the work done, and very polite the entire time -- he even took his shoes off each time he came in the house without asking.
Description of Work: Replaced a burst pipe attached to an outdoor spigot.

+ -1 moreAction was prompt, polite and fixed my sink leak and discovered that I did NOT need my sewer line to hte street repaired and I was told my Benjamin Franklin plumbing.
Description of Work: I had a horrendous experience with Benjamin Franiklin Plumbing. They had been out in June 0f 2010 for rodding out drains. IN March, 2011, I had the same problem so I called them back; they told me problem would be covered by warranty. When they got to my house, they rodding out the same drains, but said that was not the problem, instead I needed the mail drain rodded out, was told it would be $195.00. The plumber was here for 4 hours!!! and the cost was $345., and he told me that I would have to have the entire sewer replaced as he could only go out 32 feet and there was clay. I also had a leak under my kitchen sink, but he told me that was minor, as I had "bigger fish to fry". He told me the sink repair would be about $250. His estimate for sewer repair was $3500. I talked to a neighbor who recommended Action Plumbing, as I had water in my house again after I had the air on one day. When the tech from Action showed up, he ran a digital camera down my mail drain all the way to the street and FOUND NO CLAY AT ALL!!! No pipes or tiles were broken either!!! THey charged $175 for this diagnostic test, which was well worth it. As far as the water in the house, when he looked at the drain in my house (by the water heate) he discovered that the condensation pipe was just laying there, not in the drain!! They also fixed my leak in the sink for $140. I will NEVER use anyone but Action in the future!! They are prompt, and honest. I also will tell everyone I know to steer clear of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Whether they left the condensation pipe off accidentally or not, it was still a mistake. I give people the benefit of the doubt, BUT I think he knew I would have a back up again because of that, and just assume my sewer really did need to be replaced, and I would call them. Fool me once, but NEVER EVER again!

Description of Work: The flange on the toilet was broket. They cut the pipe, replaced the flange, repaired the reason why the flange broke, put a new seal in and replaced the toilet. They then checked the pipes under the floor for any leaks.
