They were very punctual and cleaned everything up when they were done. Would definitely recommend and hire again.

They knew just what to do and the area was completely clean, so I didn't have to go out and rake up any debris.

Russell is very easy to deal with and he seems to really care that the work is done in timely fashion and done to the client's satisfaction . Very glad I had his company do the work.

I called and left a message over Memorial Day weekend saying I had a rare beech tree that has a fungus and dead limbs. We desperately want to save the tree and I requested the certified arborist call us back after the holiday to schedule a time to come out and give us an estimate. I also wanted him to look at some other trees for trimming. Did not hear back the week following, so I called again. No human answered, so I left another message. Have not heard anything at the time of this writing on June 17. My history with landscapers and tree trimmers is that they usually don't respond in the summer. I'm assuming it's because they have so much work. If that's the case here, I would understand if they just returned my call and told me they couldn't get to my job until a later date. But no response tells me they're not good with customer service.

Came to do an estimate within 10 days, they were very busy. Came to do the job within 2 weeks (it was not a rush). Great service, they even cut the wood into smaller llogs and stacked them in our log rack for us.Would hire them again.

I called to have an ash tree removed and stump ground out. arborist came out to assess the tree and was prompt and courteous. I was given an estimate and I signed the contract on the spot. I was told I would be contacted to schedule a time. after 3 weeks no call. I had the tree removed by another. I called back to schedule stump removal and was told it would be on a particular saturday. I waited and waited all day. no call no show. I called the office on monday and asked why they told me they got busy. They promised they would be out the following saturday. again no call no show. I called the office again on the following monday and the woman was extremely rude to me and admitted that they are "bad with communication". long story short I was completely frustrated with russel tree service after spending a month trying to just get a stump removed. Arborist good, customer service absolutely terrible.

trBoth of the ash trees were close to the house and in the middle of other landscaping. They showed up right on time, did a fantastic job, were extremely careful of existing landscape, and cleaned up everything--even the smallest twig!!!! On top of that, their prices were EXTREMELY competitive. I couldn't be happier with their service!!! They also have top notch and well maintained specialized equipment that I'd guess, could safely handle any situation a homeowner might encounter. The work crew was VERY professional. They were extremely courteous, easy to talk to, and their work ethic was extraordinary!!! There was no resting with these guys. They literally "ran" from one to chore to the next!!! I was very impressed!!!

It went very well. the young men work the whole time about 6 1/2 hours. The weather was very cold with strong winds.

They came out to give me an estimate about a year ago, but the needs changed so they came out again and I was pleased to see that overall the estimate was consistent with the previous one. They scheduled a day to do the trimming - they came as they said- we reviewed the what was to be done - they performed the cutting and cleaned up the yard. As they were moving from tree to tree they checked that the tree was cut as it should be. I appreciated that they took the time to check with me before moving on to the next one. The trees look much better and should not need further service for a couple of years. Good job!

When the work was done, the owner/arborist arrived about ten days before the work was done to give an estimate. It was very reasonable. He was present for the trimming and did the trickiest trimming himself. He was asked to leave larger pieces to be burned by the owner. He included logs from another job site for our use which we appreciated. The work site was cleaned of the remaining branches, sawdust, etc., acceptably.

Provider was non-responsive after repeated calls to try & schedule the work.

I called for an appointment for an estimate. He called me back and scheduled. Was very prompt. Because of rain, had to be rescheduled a few times. This was fine with me, as I had told him there was no rush. When they came out, the work was done efficiently and quickly. Cleanup was great. We were very happy with the work they did and would recommend them and use them again.

The initial call went great, the woman on the phone was polite and I had an itemized quote the same day. Unfortunately that was the end of the good experience. I was told that my tree would be trimmed the following week. No one showed up and no one called to let me know why. I left at least two voice mail messages asking for an update. I never received a call back. I call again today to finally get a person on the phone. I ask why my tree hasn't been done and why no one bothered to return my calls? I get excuses about the heat, people calling off, equipment failures, etc. I understand that things happen but if the company doesn't care enough to contact their scheduled clients it shows zero professionalism. I cancelled the service, i refuse to pay good money for a company that doesn't seem to care.

Very professional outfit! They are certified Arborist's and it shows. I had 3 large trees that needed to be cut down. The trees were near power lines and a building, so I wanted a tree service that was bonded and insured. I called 3 places and Russell was the first to respond. His price was very reasonable, and he was the most professional by far. We had a bad storm pass through after my quote. Given the nature of the storm and how many trees had been blown down in the area, they were still able to cut down the trees with just a few days delay. They kept me informed when the trees would be cut down, and did everything as quoted. I highly recommend Russell's Tree Service, especially for anyone needing difficult trees felled. Thank you! Called for an estimate for tree removal. Although the estimate was higher than others I received, decided to have them do the job based on credentials. Arranged for job to be done 5/7/13. Cleared my calendar, and waited. Got a phone call around noon saying that they would not be showing up that day but would be there the following day. I asked that the owner call me to reschedule because the next day was inconvenient for me. Was called back and after an apology, was told that they would come back on any day that was best for me. I was also told that they would take $50 off the original estimate. I arranged for the work to be done on 5/14/13, one week later, in the morning. At 10:30 am no one had shown up. I called, left a message and received a call from the owner who acted as if he had no idea who I was. He told me he would get back to me once he checked on what happened. No call back. Called again at 12:30. No call back. Called again at 5:30pm. No call back. Have not heard from anyone since. Just like the week before, I had cleared the entire day so I could be home while the work was being done. At the very least, someone should have called to explain. I would never do business with a company with such poor customer service. I had to start all over again calling for estimates.

They did the work while I was at work and came by later to pick up the check. This helps out tremendously with a busy schedule.

He was very competitively priced. He did what he said he will do. I was able to negotiate with him about the price.

There was nothing in particular that I liked or disliked. I just know the guy. The service he provided was good considering he is my friend. I get what I pay for. I would grade him a ‘B’ for price. I would use him again in the future if needed.

Overall I'm well pleased. I had this 50 foot high oak tree removed because it was leaning toward my deck and house. It survived the first ice storm, but I didn't want to wait to see if it would survive another. The price was good with a senior discount. He took the tree down without damaging any surrounding decks and landscaping and did a good job cleaning up. He had to work around some bad weather so it took longer to finish the cleanup than we wanted; but, it is the winter in NW Indiana.
