KUIPER YARD & TREE

On April 9, 2008 Kuiper Yard Service came out to my property, at my request, to give me an estimate to do a spring cleanup of the lawn and landscape areas. I thought the price was not low, but reasonable, so I told them they could do the work. They said they were getting their equipment repaired and that it would be just a couple of days before the job would be done. A week later I called and was told that the equipment was being repaired as we spoke, and that we were on the schedule in about three days. That day came with no contact from Kuiper. I called again and got a story that it would be done very soon. In the meantime, I had told two other firms that I did not need their services because I had someone coming out. Needless to say Kuiper did not show and when I called them for the last time they said they were just too busy. That was two weeks after they said they would do the work. They did say that they had contacted another person that would do the job at the same price and he would call me in one-half hour. Well, it's two days later and I have not received that promised call. I'm scrambling now to find anyone to get the job done because everyone around here is booked up now. Of course, this is my fault because these same guys blew me off last year for a fall cleanup. They did almost the same thing, came out to look at the job, get a verbal agreement to do the work, promise to be here in a few days and then never show up. I just thought I would give them another chance this year, because they were so prompt in returning my initial call and bidding the job. Thank goodness I didn't give them any money.
