Employees arrived promptly and reviewed the outside (home exterior and chimneys) and inside (of both chimneys), talking through the whole time about what they saw, what was structurally important vs just not pretty, what should be repaired, and what options were available including timeline, brick matching, cost, and time to complete the work once it was started. He recommended adjustments to the structure itself to prevent deterioration once the chimney had been repaired - which was appreciated as I never would have thought to do anything but replace what is there.

It was fine. They did a good job. His follow up was not very good and we have not been very happy with that. We had some addition questions to ask.

Owner came out to the home with another employee/family member. I was wanting an estimate to do a chimney inspection,and to clean/paint the firebox. He was on time,very helpful with checking things out between the roof and the firebox (including getting up in the attic). He provided the requested estimate. Up to this point I was encouraged to think I would do business with him. I asked him for 2-3 references,and thought that he was going to provide them. I was wrong. After a couple of days and not hearing back from him, I contacted him via e-mail posted on his web site. No response. I contacted him a second (and final time) with still no response! I believe requesting references to be standard business protocol. Further, failure to reply to 2 inquires from a potential customer is hard to understand.

The gentleman that came out was very professional and thorough. He kept any mess to an absolute minimum. He answered all of my questions, and made a few suggestions such as getting slightly smaller log grate as the one that was there was a little bit to large and indicated that a slightly smaller one would be more efficient for the size fireplace that I have. It would also alleviate the issue of the fire screen catching on the log grate and damaging it, and keeping the fire a little bit further away from it and getting too hot and warping it. He had a used fire screen he had removed from another fireplace installation that was in excellent shape and saved me a few dollars.

Very well. On time and cleaned up after.
