+ -1 moreThe fabric I chose to have a chair upholstered was discontinued. One of the upholsters recommend Rader's. I was so pleased. Their selection is just huge and although they have a lot of material I had no interest in, and I really had to dig, I found exactly what I was looking for. I ended up having a lot of fun - it was like a treasure hunt. I truly believe that if you are willing to hunt through their warehouse you will come up with something fabulous. I was also very pleased with the staff. The owner was not in on the day I shopped, but his employees were friendly and knowledgeable and seemed to have a good time helping me find what I wanted. Finally, the value. The fabric I chose was marked $12/yd, which is pretty average for the store, but the woman helping me offered to sell it to me for $10/yd because it is very unusual and they had it for so long. To top it all off, they told me it was stored incorrectly and that they were unhappy with the way the velvet was flattened so they gave me the entire bolt (about 10 yds) for the price of the 5 yds I needed!!! I thought the fabric looked great but they were so concerned that I would be pleased with the final product. The icing on the cake was the day the upholster picked up the chair and fabric. He has been upholstering for 30+ years and told me, in his opinion, I had a $40/yd fabric and made a beautiful choice. Not only that, but what I chose is vintage and I have the last of it, so my chair will be unique - perfect. That made me feel great and I will certainly be using Rader?s again.

+ -1 moreOwner greeted us. Told him of our needs. He immediately was able to select various patterns that met our needs. After telling him how many chairs that needed new fabric he quickly estimated the amount and added a little extra at no additional charge. He recommended new foam padding for the chairs and recommended how to cut the foam. Definitely a fabric store that I would go again to get fabric for a do it yourself project.
