 + -1 moreHe came out promptly, removed the mole and set traps. He then came several times to follow up and check the traps. The problem is now resolved, however, they won't know 100% until spring. He did tell us that he would come back and remove further if needed at no cost per warranty.

 + -1 moreCame the day after I called-arrived on time-did not leave area messy.
Description of Work: Had scratching sound in ceiling over kitchen. Came out and went in attic. Checked wiring at our request which was hard with 16 inches of insulation. Felt it was a mouse and left 14 packets to kill throughout our house in attics. Would come back if it did not help. After one day we have not had any more problem. Very satisfied.

 + -1 moreCritter Control came every day for over a week to trap 2 stubborn raccoons in the attic. It took several days before they caught the first one. The second one actually involved setting 2 indoor traps and one over the access hole the coons created. I now sleep much better, thanks to Critter Control!

Description of Work: Asked them out to check for squirrels in the attic. Turns out Randy found evidence of mice. He thoroughly checked the roof and attic for outside openings then baited for mice. A company representative returned a few days later to check for further mouse evidence or dead mice and to give us an estimate on attic insulation.

 + -1 moreI called Critter Control one afternoon and they came out to check our problem the next morning. Dave was very neat and did an excellent job of keeping us informed as to what the activity was both in the trap and around the opening to our attic. One day a squirrel got caught in the trap and Dave came out, at no charge, to let the squirrel go and to reset the trap. Dave repaired our roof and he did such a great job that you can not tell that anyone, or animal, was ever around.
Description of Work: Critter Control came out and assessed where the raccoons were entering our building and then set a trap on our roof to catch the animals. They came out daily to empty the trap and caught two raccoons and a opossum. They put tape around the opening to check and see if there was any other traffic in and out, and then removed the trap and repaired the hole in the roof so that no other animals could enter through the hole.

 + -1 moreVery pleasant to deal with and had a great attitude. Very knowledgeable. Overall I was very happy. They were honest that, to see a difference in the population, I would want to change methods but I was not willing to do so. I was happy with my choice and they did the best they could. $89.50 initial visit and $58 per day of trapping for 8 days.
Description of Work: Had them do some live trapping of chipmunks. They caught 7 in 8 days of trapping. They recommended I use a live bait product but I did not want to do. They showed up everyday to check the traps.

 + -1 moreThis is a great company. They are the people to call to get rid of critters. This is a hard, dirty job and they do it well. They are clean. You pay one price and they follow up until the problem is resolved. They mark their traps well to avoid injury. Their office is nice and helpful, and overall this is a great company to work with.

 + -1 moreIn the course of fixing a plumbing leak in a basement crawl space, evidence of rats was discovered. Rather than use poison, we elected to have them removed. At the same time, we realized that raccoons were fishing in our small backyard pond, so we asked Critter Control to trap and remove them. Tracy set and checked the traps during the week and eventually was satisfied that we had caught them. (Actually, the raccoons were trapped within 24 hours of setting the traps.)
Description of Work: Set traps for and removed 2 raccoons from yard and 4 rats from basement over a 6 week period.

 + -1 moreThey were diligent. They did not capture the animal, but they made every effort to do so, and they were able to assure me that it and the babies were gone. They sealed off the area where the animal was getting in. They tried several different ways to trap the animal live. He checked to see that the animal was not the area before he put the cages over the vents to the crawl spaces and the roof. He came up with all the right things to keep the animals out of the house. He was very, very gracious and persistent. He is very experienced and knowledgeable about the habits of the animals he is after.
Description of Work: Tried to trap a raccoon in my attic, and when they were unable to, assured that the raccoon and her babies were gone. Animal proofed the attic and the crawl space and basement.

 + -1 moreThe man who came out was very nice and accepted my refusal to use them. Very courteous and accepting and gave me my money back. They said they "had to" dispose of the squirrels in a decompression tank however after further research they were not required to. I chose to go with a company that would release them in my yard.

 + -1 moreMy wife and I had started hearing noises in our cathedral ceiling above our second floor master bedroom suite. We first thought it might be a bird, then maybe a mouse or chipmunk, then perhaps a racoon. The noises grew louder and more frequent. Then we heard them in the ceiling above other rooms. It was clear we had critters living in our attic. My wife was in fear of them clawing through the ceiling and dropping into our bed. We had also heard they can chew into electric wiring and start fires. I looked in Angie's List for a company with excellent reports. I found Critter Control and called Margie. She was very nice and knowledgeable too. She told me the cost upfront and said we would get a ten percent discount for being Angie's List members. We are so glad we chose a professional and our night terrors are over.
Description of Work: Tracy came to our two story, four gable home and did an exterior inspection. He inspected from the ground and then went upon the roof. He used a mirror and walked the entire perimeter looking for holes that squirrels could use to get into the attic. He found one hole the squirrels had chewed open where the roof meets the gutter. For the next three weeks he came everyday Mon-Fri (sometimes twice) and set traps and took away five Red squirrels, one at a time. When all the squirrels were removed, he installed a temporary metal cover over the hole. Tracy was very professional, polite and knowledgeable. He answered all of our concerns and was persistent until he had rid us of the Red Squirrels in our attic. He climbed up his extention ladder many times to our second story roof and made many trips back to our home. It became clear to us that the fee for the service call was really a bargain.

 + -1 moreFrom initial contact to job completion was about two weeks. DAILY contact was maintained except on weekends. One female adult racoon was trapped the first day, and over the remainder of time 4 juvenile racoons were trapped. After assuring no further activity over 48 hours, the access point to the house was sealed. A one year warranty is in effect for this work.

It took us a few days to discover that a possum had attempted to crawl into the wood casing of our built-in hot tub, got stuck, and died. We contacted Critter Control by email and got a phone call within the hour. Their quote was reasonable and an appointment was scheduled for the next day. The animal was removed and the area disinfected.

 + 1 moreI asked Tracy to send me an estimate to clean out the mess and replace insulation. I received that estimate and am scheduling the work to be done. Tracy was the epitome of professionalism. He responded to my call to come get the raccoon -- once I saw him in the trap -- before the raccoon could tumble the cage off the roof. I have no doubt that the clean-out and re-insulation will be done thoroughly. I have the highest regard for Critter Control and the highest praise for Tracy Sullivan for his skill and responsiveness.
Description of Work: A large raccoon was heard on my roof -- and seen by me on my deck -- for about a week. Tracy Sullivan came out and caught him with the first trap set. Tracy then advised me the raccoon had been in and out of my chimney and priced some chimney caps for me. I had him come out and put them on, so I have no more concerns about raccoons...or squirrels...or birds. Tracy had been the same man who caught a raccoon on our roof ten years ago. That's a good sign of a good company to me. At that time the raccoons had invaded our attic. The attic access repair that Tracy did 10 years ago is still intact. That's why this year's raccoon had to limit himself to the chimney. When I said I had learned that the attic was a mess and insulation was torn off, he let me know that Critter Control also did that kind of work. PLEASE SEE STORY CONTINUATION IN THE NEXT BOX.

It took a week in a half for them to come out. I had used them in the past with good results but I was unhappy with this experience.
