Dave Wilson will respond and Try to defend his position as he did with most F ratings so I will just say that he was a contractor with Lowes and no longer I might add. His crews were inadequate and cut corners and protracted the remodel for three months. I asked Lowes to fire him and requested a different contractor to finish the job which took a total of 4.5 months mainly due to Apex's owner Dave with his rude and condescending attitude for what Lowes even deemed as shoddy craftsmanship. Dave don't respond with a long diatribe because you can't own your mistakes and even Lowes got fed up with you. I can substantiate every bit of your inability to fix problems. You can try but you will lose. Lowes was the winner in firing you and if I had a small piece in that all the better. Folks stay away from this business!

They did what they were supposed to do when they said they would. The hiccup was in supplies - they sent me a list of supplies to purchase but left out some important details (like measurements) and board types. This required a return trip for them and I had to make an emergency run to Menard's. I feel like this could have been avoided, especially since I told them I knew absolutely nothing about these materials and I would need a very specific shopping list.

I went with Apex, because you had an deal. I thought they were excellent. They coordinated on their end very well with the window company. I thought their people came out and was timely. It was everything you would want them to live up to.

Went well the Carpenter was very kind and helpful. Hard worker and did a good job.

Thorough "diagnosis" found more damage than expected. We were shown the area completely and told of the needed repairs in detail. All damage was removed and repairs performed. The simple preventive measure on the downspout was made so the problem won't recur. Good clean up of debris. I was impressed by the job done by Chad and his crew.

The problem is extensive so what they accomplished in a couple hours was worth it.

The repair looked o.k., but he left without a word, no follow up. The new trim hadn't been painted, and it rained 2 days later. It was a low priced repair, but that's how he treated it, which was not the outcome we'd hoped for. Would not use again.

Did not know extent of damage until wood was uncovered. Could have been really bad. Wood fixed without removal of aluminum siding. Chad was the carpenter who was professional and polite. Like most problems, had to call in mason to fix loose and sagging bricks. Mason quoted $325.00 then charged another $50.00 for materials? Didn't argue since mason was quick to come out. Mason took little over an hour for job. Overall it is always difficult to go through house repairs. A lot of anxiety. Felt OK with everything and Chad was great and wonderful to work with. Work took about three days to complete. But there was a lot of uncovering and wood replacing. When you write the check and don't feel screwed, it was a good job! Would use again!!! Glad I checked Angie's List and found them!

The repair of gutter boards and soffett was done in a very professional and efficient manner. I wood recommend Apex and use them again.

Mr. Wilson scheduled an appointment and provided a timely estimate/proposal. After review, I accepted. Originally, Mr. Wilson advised me of a work-date, but told me that his framers were unable to meet that date, so he had the removal of the old shed done as stated. That was the last I heard from them. About a week after the tentative date of building was supposed to begin, they showed up without advance notice to build. I had specifically instructed that NO TRASH was to be placed into the empty trash cans in my back yard as my trash removal mandates use of their special containers. The staff placed significant trash into the containers. The building portion of the job was complete the same day started. It looks good! I like their workmanship. I wish there had been more communication and that staff would have obeyed my request on trash.

Great. Guys got the sliding glass patio door installed in one day.

Not well. Responsiveness was very slow, and scheduling a meeting was not very flexible even offering to meet at their business. Ultimately ended up hiring another contractor adding other services which Apex could have provided for $10K.

Arrived on time. Professional. Did a great job and cleaned up when finished. I plan on calling for other improvements.

Dave was very good at assessing, checking for needed supplies, scheduling repairs. Guys were late but able to get it done before I had to go to work. However, tho it appeared complete, a few weeks later the replacement piece came out. It was unsecured and they did not do the underneath work we agreed to. Dave was responsive about correcting it (first guy was let go) but this time repair guy did not show up until after I left for work and did the work while I wasn't there. I like being home for any work on my house. Don't know whether I'd rehire, would depend on specific project / work crew

we re-hired Apex to renovate master bathroom.

We had damage to our house from the Spring storms and some wood rot on the bottom of the trim on both of our garage doors. We hired Apex Design Build after they had a special on Angie's List. They replaced the shutter on our home, replaced some trim that came off in the storm that was above our two story entry way, painted all the shutters on our house and replaced the trim/weather stripping on our two garage doors with PVC that won't rot. They were very easy to work with and did a wonderful job on our house. We won't hesitate to call them again; in fact, we are going to have them do some more work on our house.

Had a little trouble with communication early but the work was done very well

Slow at first. We did not have supplies or time to schedule work. Then when we were ready the weather was not cooperative. Apex was very good at communicating availability. We were able to get the job started and all was complete in 2 1/2 days. The workers were very efficient and cleaned up afterwards as well.

I did not go with the Apex estimate only because I was on a huge time crunch. I went with a company that cost a little more but could start the repair project right away. It was solely a timing issue. I was very impressed that Mr. Wilson was the ONLY contractor to definitively identify my leak issue accurately and in less than 5 minutes after stepping foot in the house. He also proved his diagnosis, a window design defect, with a quick demonstration. Luckily we already had new replacement windows scheduled for installation. His cost estimate seemed very reasonable for the amount of work scheduled. Based on Apex's other Angie's List reviews and the confidence his quick diagnosis built with me, I plan to call on Apex in the future for other remodeling needs.

The additional time and materials ended up being twice the amount of the original purchase. Labor was an issue even though we tried to work with them by making the trip to purchase the materials needed. I waited at the store for over two hours but it took them longer than that to come up with a list. The job looks good but the cost was way more than expected.

They did an exceptional job at a reasonable price and in a timely manner.

Project went well. Mr. Wilson gave us a good price and everyone did an excellent job. When we had questions he responded quickly. Referred us to an great company for the glass shower door and mirror we needed replaced.
