Description of Work: Replacing rotted porch rail and rotted wood around garage door. Also replace rubber stripping on garage door. And in replacing the rail on the porch they also reinforced some of the other spindles that were loose.

+ -1 moreDave was prompt to reply, showed up as planned, and he was friendly, efficient, and professional. He anchored the basketball goal more securely this time by drilling the anchors in the concrete and attaching the goal to those with bolts. When he finished, all looked hopeful. However, within three weeks the goal had vibrated the nuts loose and was once again unsafe. (Did I mention my twin 10 year old sons use this daily?) He agreed to return to fix this, and he installed locking bolts this time. Fingers crossed that this works.
Description of Work: Dave re-installed a basketball goal in the cement wall of our basement after it rattled loose from a previous handyman's install.

He worked diligently completing task after task, not even stopping for a lunch. He was able to complete all items that I wanted performed!!
Description of Work: I utilized Apex for their Handyman for a Day. I had them install 2 ceiling fans, kitchen faucet, 2 GFCI outlets, mounted a TV mount and ran an additional outlet for the wall mounted TV.

+ 3 moreDave Wilson arrived at our agreed time. He got right to work installing our ceiling fans and fixing the wiring mistakes I made. Additionally Dave found a potentially hazardous wiring mistake the builder made when they constructed our home. Dave fixed the builders mistake and my wiring mistakes and professionally installed our fans. Dave also patched some drywall issues. Overall, Dave installed fans, fixed builder and homeowner wiring mistakes and repaired drywall holes that I made a year earlier. Very pleased with Apex. Will continue to use their services. Dave is great to work with. High integrity and focused on doing a perfect job.
Description of Work: I used apex designs earlier in the year to install my hardwood floors. I needed a reputable contractor to do some electrical work and installed my ceiling fans upstairs. The fans had dual switches for lights and fan and I mis-wired the fan on my first try.

+ 4 moreWe hired Apex Design after soliciting bids from 5 different contractors in our area, 2 contractors never even returned our phone calls. After meeting Dave for our estimate in which he provided the same day, we scheduled the work to begin within 3 days after the estimate. We were in a time crunch to have the home completed before our daughter's graduation party. Dave was very detailed in his explanations about the fiber cement siding product being installed. We chose to have stock replacement windows installed at the same time and " WOW" our home looks new again!! I will not hesitate to refer Apex and their crews to anyone and everyone I know!!
Description of Work: We had 3 estimates for the work we wanted performed on our home. Not only was Apex Design the fairest of the bids, they were the most complete in their estimate and description of what was to be performed. (One bid was $10,000 more and did not cover everything Apex did.) We had fiber cement siding installed, fascia installed, windows installed, and soffit repaired on our whole house and garage -- and they did a beautiful job on the finish painting."

Description of Work: I contacted Apex design via Angie's List email form. The company was very prompt and courteous on their response. Dave Wilson the owner came out to my home on very short notice since he was in the area. He provided me with an estimate on site to replace the deteriorated siding and to replace some damaged trim work.

Apex provided a professional bid and the good news is Dave's diligence at researching the materials before project start actually saved us money from his initial bid. Extra care was taken in the finishing process. Apex has a real attention to detail. Apex started the job on time and completed the project 1 day early. Dave is a pleasure to deal with and kept us informed as the project progressed. We will definitely use Apex for our next home remodeling project.
Description of Work: Apex Design installed and finished Red Oak, Hardwood flooring in my home. The coverage area was 1000 sqaure feet in our lower level dining room, living room, kitchen and bathroom areas. This included custom transition areas, reinstalling bathroom vanities and fixtures and cutting down the doors. We installed over our concrete slab so extra care had to be taken to prepare proper vapor barrier and subflooring.
