Apex Design Build

First time they came we had the lumber but it was warped so I had to return it. We rescheduled and the owner offered to hand select the necessary lumber needed to build the shelves prior to coming out. We agreed to a price and set the appt. They arrived 1 hour late but did call ahead and then jumped right in and built the shelves in (5 man Hours). We were pleased with the shelves!. I was disappointed that the initial fee structure made no mention of a delivery and trip charge to get the lumber and it made the price more that what I would've expected. I would have paid it anyway but it's not ideal to gain the news after the fact. I would use them again still but I would make sure the price was discussed with no surprises.

We got a timely estimate from David. There was a little misunderstanding of services requested at first, but that got cleared up quickly. He was professional and courteous. We ultimately decided not to have the work done at this time, but would have used his services otherwise.

It went beautifully! He started when he said he would and the duration of the project was actually shorter than he originally quoted. The workmanship is spectacular and we can't wait to get out there each morning to admire it. We spend more time in the room than anywhere else in the house. We'll get to watch our first Colts game out there this coming Sunday now that we hooked up a TV to the cable outlet he provided.

My house is about half brick sided. I was expecting the $6400 big deal for 1000 square feet of siding to cover nearly all the cost. Perhaps an extra thousand or two. After Apex did their estimate the cost came to $11636, plus likely another $1000 to replace gutters damaged by the installation. This was twice what I had budgeted for this and simply exceeds my means at this time. Apex is going to pain my existing siding for me.

It went well except they have the hot water control on the cold water control...just reversed it.

It went fine and they did a good job. They were quick and efficient. They were right on it.

They were on time and corrected the problem on 4 way. Plug problem turned out to be a faulty GF switch

I didn't particularly like them. They were an hour and a half late. He gave me a window from 11 to one and didn't give me a call until one o'clock saying that he was going to be at least an hour to two hours late. He installed the light and worked on a ceiling fan and the rest of the projects that I had for him to work on, he informed me that he would not be able to work on those. The light works great. I was enticing the remote box for a ceiling fan and didn't quite know how to install the new control box to it. I don't think he quite knew what to do either. It still didn't work the way it should. I had a room that needed to be rewired and a couple of bathrooms that needed to have new electrical wires. I wanted to get a quote from him, while he was out here and he informed me that that kind of work wasn't credible and I needed to contact him through e-mail. I wasn't happy with the person at all. I wouldn't use him again. The work that he said he couldn't quote on, I've got other electricians to quote on and had it fixed.

David provided a quote for replacing siding on our home. We was very professional and timely with his interactions with us. Ultimately, we decided to not have the work performed with no fault of David.

The work was OK. The one problem was one of the outlets was placed back so that wires were touching and it caused the GFI to trip. Took me a while to figure out the issue, but thankfully I didn't have to call another electrician. I was disappointed with the explanation of what was going to be done and what my options were. I would not call them for another electrical job.

I called APEX after seeing them on Angie's List as I have three bathroom light/exhaust fan units in each bathroom that are in need of replacement. I bought some new replacement units and had APEX come out to take a look. They did not make the replacement because the new units were not compatible with the existing structure in the ceiling. But, the person who came out was VERY helpful in explaining the situation, giving me an education on these units, and gave me some tips on how I could do the replacement with a lower cost. He could not have been more helpful, and he could have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge about the units and lack of electrical knowledge. But, he didn't. He was most helpful, and whenever i have an electrical need in the future, I will not hesitate to contact this provider. He was very professional, and I also very much appreciated the small touch of placing a protective cover over his shoes before entering my house.

Quality of work was excellent, procedure and price was not. The truck arrived at 12:30 with 4 workers which was overkill for the job. They spent 3 hours in the truck and 1 hour doing the work. This was a $79 special that was quoted as time and materials with $79 applied to total job which is fair. The 2 $45 per hour painters to sit in the truck on a job that only needed one painter for one hour seemed a bit much.

We contacted Apex design Build through an Angie's Big Deal coupon for a deck. David contacted us promptly after the purchase, came to our house to see what we had in mind and worked up a quote. We received the quote in the time David said we would and hired Apex to do the work. David worked with us through a few changes to the original plans and built 2 very sturdy and beautiful decks, making our yard much more accessible. David and his team were professional, prompt, did everything he said he would and accommodated our changes. Will definitely consider Apex for future projects.

They were on time, cleaned up after themselves, considerate and hard working.

The two men were punctual, very professional, and did a good job. They were real pros.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was very good. I would tell others to go ahead and do it if you can afford to do it because the workers were good, they were professional, they showed up everyday, they got it done fast and they did a very good job. I paid more than the Big Deal because it didn't specify the size when I bought it. The size that I wanted was twice that size because what they were advertising was just a little bitty patio size. It would probably be the size that would fit like somebody's new house's addition where they really don't have backyards and they just have a small area, that would be fine for them but I don't live in an addition like that and the space that I have marked out to go to the end of the house was about double. He gave me the price that it would be because he gave me 3 different prices. He showed me pictures of what he had already done. I'm not upset about it because I was thinking that was just too good a deal. The price that he quoted me for the size that I wanted was okay.

The were professional and efficient. They got the work done quickly and did good work.

The service went very well. Apex arrived on time and went to work immediately trying to find the reason behind the electrical problem. It took a while to track down the source of the problem but they were efficient, polite and everything is working properly again.

They built a deck and they had to raise it up to be level with sliding door. They will be out saturday to re-stain the deck. They were courteous and nice.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon from them. They did a real good job.

They called me. They came, were on time, and did a good job.

I can't really say enought good words about this company. We chose Apex partly because we wanted to work with one contractor from start to finish, which we found was not always the case. We also thought David was very good at making our ideas work. He worked with us to create an updated, fully functional and beautiful kitchen. He and another man did all the work and cleaned up every night so there was no mess. He put in birch cabinets, to include putting pantries in space that had been underused previously. We stayed within our budget and there were no surprises. We will call David again when we are ready to remodel a bathroom.

I paid for two hours, but the boss and one other person came and they were here for less than one hour. I had them check as I had crackling when I would turn on the light switch. He found one broken switch inside and they installed one light and one they couldn’t as I bought a wrong light and it wasn’t their fault. Everything went fine.

Work was performed as ordered and functions well.

He did 2 hours of work. He did a great job and he actually went way above and beyond. The mailbox required him to use cement. We did not buy it and he went and got it at the local hardware store. He left the rest of it for us. The mailbox is very firm. I would use him again.
