A CUT ABOVE TREE SERVICE

When my wife came home there was tree sap on driveway and sidewalk that leads up to the front door. (on Sept 4th) She called him the next day to say that happened, I guess he got testy and stated that he had been in business for 30 years and that he had never had a complaint before and that the sap should come off with a heavy rain. A week later we had the very heavy rain and it was still there. Today I took a power washer and tried it and nothing lifted. It is stained. So I called for him this morning and asked for a call back. He didn't call but he did show up and I showed him the problem and he basically didn't believe it. He said that the power washer should have cleaned it up. He asked me what "I wanted him to do about it" I told him to get the "h..." out of here. He had gotten kinda smart eliky. He said that the mess had to have been there before and that his guys would not have left a mess. So I got online and googled how to clean this up. There is no easy way to get it off, that it will be very problematic from what I read online.

I called the company for an estimate to cut down an ash tree that was dying from emerald ash borer. Was told that someone would come out in a couple of days to give me an estimate. About two hours later, Mr. Jennings, the owner, stopped by with a partner and their truck to write the estimate. Although it is quite expensive to cut down a tree, his was the lowest estimate of the 4 I had gotten and when I asked when they could do the work, he said 'now' if I wanted. They were all done in about 45 minutes. He said someone would come by in a couple of days to grind up the stump. A different company that A Cut Above uses came by the next day while I was out and took care of the stump. I paid them separately. The stump wasn't ground very far below the surface so I decided to plant grass there and I planted a new tree off to the side.

They did a fine job. Cleaned everything up very nice. I couldn't have asked for a better service.

They were very prompt. They had a good quote. The work was done very well with great clean up. They were very honest and easy to deal with.

WOOD IS GREAT. THEY SPLIT IT A BIT SMALL.

CAME OUT ON A SUNDAY, WHICH I APPRECIATED. USUAL MINIMUM DELIVERY IS THREE RICKS. EXTRA CHARGE PAID FOR STACKING. IT WAS WORTH IT! GOOD QUALITY WOOD AND PROMPT RETURN OF CALL.

WE TOLD THEM NOT TO DRIVE OVER THE SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA AND THEY DID IT ANYWAY. THAT WAS THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WITH THEM.

THE OWNER/SUPERVISOR WAS ON SITE, PERFORMING MUCH OF THE WORK. HE AND HIS CREW DID A FAIR JOB ON TREE REMOVAL, BUT A VERY POOR JOB OF PRUNING TREES. HE LEFT DEAD LIMBS, CROSSING LIMBS, AND CUT BRANCHES IN ARBITRARY SPOTS, LEAVING STUMPS. HE LEFT THE JOB UNFINISHED AND RETURNED TO FINISH AT A TIME WHEN I WAS NOT HOME. I HAD TO CONTACT HIM LATER ABOUT FIXING SOME OF THE WORK, AND HE DID NOT RESPOND OR CORRECT THE WORK.

FIREWOOD WAS STACKED RIGHT WHERE I REQUESTED, THEY ALSO LEFT AN ESTIMATE TO CUT DOWN A TREE THEY NOTICED IN OUR YARD THAT WAS DEAD AND NEEDED TO BE REMOVED.
