Computer Solutions

Having already called 3 other local companies for help, I spoke with Mark Williams about the scenario that presented itself in which I could not get into my computer. While on the phone and with me in front of the computer, Mark gave me a couple items to 'click' onto. So within less than a couple minutes, I was able to access my computer, free of charge. In comparison and with names of competitors withheld, I gave the same scenario to two specific people at two Crown Point locations. Neither could help me. Both indicated that I would have to bring the processor in. One was an employee of a competitor, the other was the owner. When asked what it would cost and specifically asking if it was something minor that would take just a few minutes, his response was $95 minimum charge. I asked again repeating the context of finding the problem right away, the same answer of $95 minimum charge. Asking further if they came out to my home, the service call was $20 for a total of $115.00. Its a no-brainer to go to Computer Solutions. In fact they do not charge for a diagnosis. That said, I just brought in the older computer that I just replaced the other one I had just purchased from Dell that I had the problem with. Based upon their free diagnosis, I will decide if its worth putting money into it so that I can pass it down to grandchildren or discard it. They are very busy as customers will see when they go there. Its nice to know that there is an excellent computer repair and diagnostic shop in the area that you can feel comfortable with. Their prices beyond diagnosis are very reasonable as you will find out if you contact them.

This is about the 3rd or 4th time 'Ive been here. As a "hobbyist computer builder & gamer" I just don't have the time to repair or build anymore so I want to leave my equipment in good hands as if I were doing it which is where Computer Solutions comes in first place! This time I dropped off spare rig and had a discussion with a gentleman named Ritchie. He understood my objectives. What I liked about this experience is I gave him some decision making latitude to make some service and parts decisions on his own and he did exactly as I would expect when he saw that the video card was over heating. A very courteous, communicative and knowledgeable technician Ritchie is. Turn around was a few days which was great. Rocky the owner calls when it's complete and she is also nice, communicative and courteous. After every repair if I have a question and call back they answer it excellent and helpful. The best part of this particular experience was the cloning (mirror image of the SD). Usually with a transfer clone HD mirror image my experience is a lot of corruptible files and programs. Ritchie did such a good job that even an online multiplayer game transferred over perfectly. I like how Ritchie explains extra things such as tuning up Windows, cleaning the unit etc... This gentlemen Ritchie is a first class respectable individual that Computer Solutions should be proud to have employed. Computer Solutions have been there for many years that I can remember, I will return with 100% assurance. There is nothing more I would expect from these folks, the experience was A+, I highly recommend.

When I dropped my computer off, I also asked them to investigate adding additional RAM. The person who I handed my computer to told me that they would check to see if I had 4 RAM in one slot and 2 RAM in the other, in which case he could add additional RAM. He said it would be $75. They never called, they didn't check, and then when I went to pick up the computer, the tech said that if they were to add additional RAM, it would cost at least double what he quoted me. In addition, they didn't start working on my computer until four days after I dropped it off.

Had computer problems took in on a Saturday and they fixed. I have had no problems since. Very nice people. Will use again.

I was constantly getting popups -- an indication of a virus. They removed the virus and cleaned up the system. My old computer acts like a new one once again. Rich did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to recommend their service to any and all. Places such as Staples and others charge $150 at least for this same service. I visited their office once again today (4/28/14) regarding a tablet. Answered all my questions and sped up my tablet.

the gentleman came to the house and picked up my tower. He took it to the place of business worked on the tower and then brought it backe to me. There was some other work on it but because I am not knowledgeable about computers I couldn't tell you all of the details.

They are so professional and patient. They new it was for the business and we were stopped with out the computer so they got it done super fast. When we had a question about the tower Rocky sent someone over and looked at it at our place.. PERFECT!!!

Rocky and her staff are the best! They got my tablet to turn on and now it is in perfect working order! Thanks

I drop my computer off and they would cal when they would find answer or problem. They kept mc 10 form and I like that.
