We were extremely pleased. Tony and Charles were considerate and professional at all times. They were flexible when the sewer lines were being replaced in the back yard and they couldn't use the back yard for a work area. Tony worked with our floor plan and tried to understand our goals. They left the upstairs cleaner than when they started. Tony is very knowledgeable and capable. My perception of Anchor Contracting is a company that does quality work and cares about meeting their customer's needs.

Description of Work: Smooth talker and sounds like he knows what he's doing. He wanted us to do something different than what we initially desired. What he wanted was much more expensive. We agreed to a compromise on the project because we were desperate to get work started and could not find anyone. We called him and set date to start after he finished current job. Supposed to start in 1-2 weeks. After calling him for a month, we finally gave up on him. He didn't return calls or respond to messages. Very frustrating. In the meantime, I saw his name in tha paper for court dates and he was being sued. I have no idea what this was about but it made me very Leary. We went with someone else and got a super job done! He called 2-3 ninths later and wanted to do the job! Too Karen

Response from Anchor Contracting LLC
I was unaware that Mrs. [removed member name]wanted for my company to proceed with the scope of work as she did not respond to any of my follow up calls. I was called out to the [removed member name]'s residence to give them an estimate for a roof, siding and concrete work. I was told they would get back with me within a couple weeks. I hadn't heard anything from them so I tried calling them with no response. I then seen them in a local restaurant as I was walking past their table and said "Hi". They stopped me and stated that they had decided to do the roof themselves and would get in touch with me for the siding and concrete. I then placed a follow up call a week later and then another two weeks later. I received no response. A month had gone by when Mrs. [removed member name] called me and at that time I was unable to do the work within the time frame that they wanted as I was on a large project. I assumed at this point there were no issues. Mrs. [removed member name] stated that I tried to talk them into something that they did not want for their work. I gave them their options for their project which is what they asked me to do. I was asked to give them 3 different estimates for their siding. Fiber Cement, Vinyl and Vinyl with Fiber Cement Trim. They asked my opinion of which option was the best and I stated that I thought Fiber Cement was the best option, but it was the most expensive. When I originally met with them this is the option that they had stated they wanted. Due to pricing (even though I was the lowest bidder) they decided that the Vinyl Siding with Fiber Cement Trim was more affordable for their budget. I am confused as to why Mrs. [removed member name] would not contact me directly if she was unhappy with anything instead of posting a negative review a Year after I was approached by herself and her husband for their project. I make it a priority to always respond to my customers in a timely manner. I have been complimented on this numerous times by customers. It is unfortunate that Mrs. [removed member name] was unsatisfied with my company. I am glad to hear that she got her job finished and that they did a great job. I hope this issue is resolved for her and wish her the best.
Our lake house is back in the middle of no where so we felt limited on contractors to choose from and was a little concerned a small town contractor wouldn't be able to supply us with the service we needed. We couldn't have been more wrong about ANCHOR CONTRACTING, INC. Tony was a professional from start to finish. A small town contractor feel with big city connections and expertise. You can tell he cares about his trade and cares about the customer as well. We are extremely pleased with his services so much so we just hired him again for an even larger project at the same location. Hire this guy- you won't regret it.
Description of Work: Tony roofed our lake house, provided new insulation, did some tuck pointing and did some chimney repair. A basic remodel of the exterior portion of the home.

He came on time and gave us his professional estimate.
Description of Work: We had Anthony come to a house we were buying to give us estimates for repairs. He looked at our home inspection report and looked at the house, and told us he thought we should not buy the house due to its structural issues, and was able to detail for us why the house was not sound. We thought he was thorough, easy to understand, and honest.
