Ray's Trash Service Inc

The service is a good value for the money. It would be nice to have more materials in the list of recycling items.

They pick up the trash every Tuesday. My only complaint is we are later on the route and our pick-up is not until after lunch - meaning we have to look at the trash all day. However, this is nice if you forget to put the trash out in the morning. They have only forgotten our pick-up once or twice in several years and have always sent a truck back out. They are careful with our cans and always get all the trash.

Scott is the associate of Ray's that does my residential garbage pick ups. Scott has been my residential garbage collection man for at least 3 years. He will assist with trash and will bring the heavier items to his truck for pick up.

I really appreciated that they called before the came. They arrived promptly. When we called to have them pick it up they arrived right on time. They were very economical because we checked around and they had a good price. The gentleman that loaded and unloaded it were very polite and courteous. They handled it in a very efficient manner.

They had the most competitive bid and were very helpful and professional through out the entire process. They have been collecting our trash for the last few months and we have no complaints. Ray's has been very dependable. They charged a lower price and provide better service than our last provider.

They delivered and picked up the dumpster in a timely fashion.

One issue I had, when they came to drop off the dumpster, they had an issue where the dumpster could be placed and blocking and alley. They did not tell me before hand that if they could not drop off the dumpster I would be charged but we were able to find a location and I had to sign a waiver saying that if there were any problems I would be responsible.

I called to arrange for trash service two weeks prior to my family moving into a home in Carmel. We were given a date the trash was to be picked up. The trash was not picked up on that day. We called and were told there was no record of service for our home, but a special pick up would be made. The special pick-up was never made. I called again and was again told there was not record of service for our home. Ray's made no apologies. They just stated, How odd!" At this point, I can calling another company to help us.

Trash is fine. Recycling has been forgotten by Ray's 3 times in the last two months. We have called several times to correct this matter. Although they are responsive in that they take the charge off for that time forgotten or send someone out, it keeps happening!

They are always on time and do a great job. The manager on my route makes an extra effort if I do not get the trash out on time, if I put it on the other side of the road they get it on their way out. They are very courteous and go above and beyond.

They pick-up trash and recycling weekly.

There are no problems. Trash is picked up early every week. They missed us one day but came quickly the next day when we called to check.

THEY ARE HELPFUL IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL ITEMS AND WILL TELL YOU HOW TO PLACE IT SO YOU DON'T INCUR ADDITIONAL FEES WHICH IS VERY NICE.

I've used Ray's for three years and have had no problems at all. They come at a consistent time and have never missed my house. In the past I've used other companies and had to call every now and then for them to come back and get my trash. Ray's prices (at the time I signed up with them) were the lowest.

Ray's comes to pick up our recycling and trash every Tuesday. The recycling is picked up around 7:00 a.m. and the trash around 12:00 p.m. We put all of our recyclables (paper, glass, magazines, cans, newspaper) in one bin. We don't have to separate them out. The recycle man does that curbside as he empties our bin. It's nice that we don't have to separate everything out. The trash truck comes around noon. The guys do a good job at emptying our rubbermaid trash cans and setting them right-side-up again on our drive before moving on to the next house. You can rent a big rubbermaid-type trash can, that's on wheels and comes with a lid, from Ray's if you want to, but you don't have to. They pick up every scheduled day except for Christmas Day and New Year's Day. During those weeks, the pick-up schedule is pushed back one day. They pick up all kinds of trash. They've picked up old bikes and a queen-size feather pillowtop among other things. They really do a great job.

They were consistent and reliable. Ended up switching to a competitor after a couple of years for two reasons. First, in our area, Ray's collected recycling and trash on different days which forced me to remember to take out something twice as frequently, their competitor collected both on the same day. Second, the pick-up crew was in such a hurry as they came by our house that they would end up throwing our barrels back into the yard, a practice that continued at other houses as the truck moved through our neighborhood. Our new service provider seemed to be able to put the barrels back roughly where they got them. It may seem petty but it bothered me enough to shop around.

My experience with Rays was very positive. They instructed me on the what size dumpster to use for the size job I had. The dumpster size was perfect and all the items fit well. The cost for the dumpster was based on one week and $3 per day for each day thereafter. They had to leave the dumpster in the yard since I was unable to obtain permission from the city of Indianapolis to leave the dumpster in the street. Their price was slightly lower than the competitors.

They always come when they are supposed to.

Very well. Offered a discount for our neighborhood association.

They are timely, but they don't bother to pick up anything if it falls out.

Dumpster delivered when I wasn't here. Paid over the phone. Loaded the dumpster on my own, had it removed the next day. There was a problem getting the dumpster on the truck; not sure why. Ray's sent out another, smaller truck, which did the job. Second driver was way nicer and more professional than the first. I appreciated that, for sure. Wish it wasn't so expensive, but them's the breaks.

The price is for a three month period. Overall good job. Once in a while we are missed but a phone call brings them out to get the trash. A few problems with throwing the cans where they roll on to a very busy street. I wish they would put the cans back in our trash cart.

Ray's Trash Service offers recycling pick-up for newspaper, glass and several types of plastic. The service runs about $40/yr. They provide the recycling container. I have used them for several years. They come every other week. They are very reliable and on the scheduled day pretty much any time but Christmas Day.

This company is excellent. They are always on time and they never leave a mess behind. Very fair rate for the service they provide.

My husband and I have used Ray's for 6 years now, and only twice has the trash or recycling not been picked up, and after one phone call, someone has come right out to take care of it. The recycling guy is very friendly and helpful. He let us know of other items we could recycle through Ray's. We now put out several containers of recycling and only one or two small bags of trash.
