D.S. Feller Heating & Air

This Company was contracted to do work on a house that my husband and I had purchased. The house was a repo and was in need of alot of work. Mr. Feller was to do the boiler (baseboard hot water heat) and the water heater. Work was to begin on or soon after 5/2/12, it is now 8/24/12 and he STILL isn't finished with the work that he is to do!!!!!! We have another contractor that is to come in and do additional work AFTER Mr. Feller is done but we can't seem to get him to come and do the job that he bid. It has been almost 4 months now and we still don't have hot water. Thank goodness it is summer or we wouldn't have heat either. When contacted to see if he is going to finish he always has an excuse as to why he can't come that day and he will be out FIRST thing the next morning....that's IF he answers the phone at all.......well morning comes and goes and if we are lucky he will send a text with his next excuse as to why he can't make it that day. Then several days to weeks will go by that we are unable to reach Mr. Feller or receive an answer. Then Mr. Feller will send a text that states "oh I'm sorry this or that has happened and I'll be out first thing in the morning" then the whole process starts over again. Mr. Feller has after numerous texts and excuses arrived at our house at 10:00pm-12:30am and worked throughout the night while we are trying to sleep.....this would not be tolerated by any other home owner that I know of. I have tried to be accommodating just so he will get done and LEAVE my house!!!!! I have found dirty dishes (MY DISHES) on the counter and in the garage when I have arrived home from work. I received a nasty cut on my foot that due to my inability to shower or bathe properly (due to NO hot water) became infected and I had to be put on antibiotics for it. I have had poison ivy for the first time in 46 years and I believe this is also due to improper bathing. This has been going on for nearly 4 months now and he doesn't seem to think that it is a problem or he doesn't care I don't know which. He is very unprofessional and his communication skills need some serious help!!!!! If I were able to fire Mr. Feller on the spot and go with another HVAC company I would of but with the 203K loan that we did for the purchase of the house the paperwork involved would delay things even further, at this point I believe I have NO choice!! Winter will be coming soon and I won't have any heat either. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone!!!! 9/24/12 We have fired Mr. Feller and went with another contractor to finish and FIX the work that Mr. Feller was to do!! It has been a week that the other contractor has been on the job and I now have hotwater would have heat if they wouldn't of had to replace most of what Mr. Feller had done.
