Description of Work: Very good and professional. I called on a Tuesday morning and they came out the following Wednesday afternoon. They were in and out in an hour. They checked all the different parts of my oven to make sure the part that they brought was the one that needed to be replaced before opening the box and installing it, saving me money. Very friendly, nice, and clean.

Description of Work: Brown streaks were appearing on my clothes from the washing machine. Found out the motor was leaking oil. They were very honest and explained exactly what it would cost to repair, how long the new part would be warrantied and let me know it might be worth it to invest in a new machine (esp. given the agen of the existing machine- about 13 yrs). This was the second time in 4 months that I had called them (prior call was for my dishwasher). Honest, professional, prompt and curteous. And very reasonable price for service call. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Called ahead and showed up on the dot. Diagnosed microwave problem as a bad magnetron tube and gave an estimate for the repair, but also pointed out that the magnetron was most likely a 5-year warranty item, and that I should call GE directly. I did so and they agreed. Scheduled GE to come out. Bottom line is that using GE will save about $40, as the part is under warranty and is a no cost item.

Description of Work: The dishwasher repair was performed promptly, successfully, and with no drama. I recommend them with no hesitation, and will use them for my next appliance repair need.

Description of Work: Kevin repaired our defrost system in our refrigerator without overcharging us. We had a defrost problem that resulted in our ice maker not working and water collecting in the freezer compartment. Kevin came back 3 times putting in different parts until he found out the right part that was defective. He could have replaced all parts and it would have cost us a lot more. Description of Work: The heating element in my oven starting sparking and then started to burn. I had used the Appliance Man before for repairs on my dishwasher. So I called him on the stove. I called around 9 am and he was here by 11 am. He had the part he needed to make the repair and 15 minutes later my stove was working again. I have given his name and number to others because it is hard to find a repairman you can trust to fix broken appliances at a reasonable price. He is very straight forward with you and does what he says he will do.

Description of Work: Mr. Broughton replaced a gasket on our 30-yr old KitchenAid dishwasher. He had some problems obtaining the part which caused some delay, but we didn't mind that. We also needed to have a valve replaced on our Jenn-Air cooktop, but that part is unavailable. I am certain that Mr. Broughton has exhausted all his sources of supply in trying to find a replacement valve. In both instances--the dishwasher and the cooktop, he was very knowledgeable, prompt, courteous and professional. We will certainly use his services in the future.

Description of Work: The receptionist was great about returning my call & Though they offered to assess my refrigerator, though it was outside of their normal service radius and not a brand they covered. I decided not to get the appliance repaired.Just buy a new one) After reading online reviews of my Samsung refrigerator, many of them only had a life of ~ 6 years. OUCH! It was a great Fridge, during its short life, but would not buy another. The Appliance Man impressed me as a"Can Do" provider & will keep him in mind for the future. Thanks

Description of Work: Called the Appliance Man number based on the reviews on Angies List. The gentlemen showed up, was extremely professional and outlined the repairs, what he could do, and what he did and didn't recommend doing. Conducted the repairs timey and professionally! Cleaned his mess up and departed! Bill was half of what I was expecting, fixing two appliances!! I highly recommend this shop!!!!

Description of Work: Aaron showed up between the hours I was told he would be here. He called and said he was on his way which I really liked because I could run some earrands close to home and not be stuck at the house for the 4 hour period. He checked my ice maker on my LG refrigerator and my dishwasher timer. Ice maker needed to be replaced, dishwasher needed a part. I paid for the service call for that day and we scheduled a return trip to install the dishwasher part. The icemaker was not in stock so it had to be ordered. He returned three days later with both parts. Installed ice maker and replaced the dishwasher part. When he ran the dishwasher to check the part he discovered the water valve under our sink was not working properly to get water to the dishwasher. He told me I needed to call a plumber to check it and to make sure that I had them replace it with a metal valve not a plastic one that was on there. He did not charge me for the dishwasher part just for the icemaker. He tore up the check for the first service call (which they hold until all service is performed). He was excellent and represented true professionalism. Great company with great employees!

Description of Work: Washer would not drain or spin.Repairman came - water could not be expelled because internal drain in the washer was clogged from a rug I had washed. Cleaned the drain - all worked well.Good experience overall.

Description of Work: The repairman was professional. Also, informative, gave me extra inforrmation about my dryer.To avoid burning up your heating element in your dryer. You should always let it go through the cool down cycle.Example you turn your dryer on hot (high) to fluff something up, you get the items out and turn the dryer to off.Never do thisneed to turn knob to cooler selection so the dryer can cool down naturally, saves on your heating element.Also, told me if the washer I have goes out, do not call a repair man because they no longer sell the parts for my washer.He did a great job and was fast!

Description of Work: My dryer stopped working suddenly and I called the Appliance Man due to the positive responses on Angie's List. The person I spoke with on the phone was very nice and gave me the cost of the service call and labor and told me someone would be out today. A young man called me about 30 minutes later and said he was on his way. The young man was very professional explained he knew what the problem was ( a thermal fuse ) but said he didn't have the part and would go get it and be right back. He was only gone a short time and returned, replaced the part, and even showed me how to take my dryer apart to vacuum it out every 6 months. Great service!!! and he didn't mind my 3 dogs and 3 cats :).

Description of Work: Called regarding washing machine and refrigerator. Service needs fully discussed and provided guidance on what would be most economical for me. This resulted in no repair but move to replacement for washing machine and simple fix to refrigerator. Easy to understand and felt that there was no manipulation of information for the repair company's personal gain. I would definitely call him again for other repair needs.

Description of Work: I called Friday afternoon to have my refrigerator fixed. I was told he could come Saturday between 10-2. He called at 9:50 and said he would be there in 15 mins. Kevin showed up and was fantastic. He had to buy a part for the refrigerator, but stayed on the job until he fixed it. I will definitely use them again!!

Description of Work: I WAS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY 10 YEAR OLD WASHING MACHINE. ONE OF THE SERVICEMEN CALLED AND I EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM. HE INDICATED HE KNEW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS WITHOUT CHECKING THE MACHINE, THOUGH HE WAS HAPPY TO COME OUT AND CHECK IT IF I PREFERRED. HE INFORMED ME THAT THE WASHER WOULD PROBABLY HAVE TO BE REPLACED, AND WOULD LIKELY BE CHEAPER TO REPLACE THAN TO FIX. I HAD SUSPECTED AS MUCH AND WAS VERY HAPPY FOR HIS OVER-THE-PHONE FREE CONSULTATION. I WOULD DEFINITELY CALL AGAIN.
