The Appliance Man

He came to my house only to find that my clothes washer had started to work again. So, he really didn't have to fix anything. He checked it over anyway. He was kind enough to not charge me the full house call $60.00; he only charged me $40.00. I will definitely use him again.

I was pleased with the price and service. I was also happy that he was on time. Some service people in the past have not been prompt or not show at all.

Our washer had been acting up intermittently, not spinning at high speed during the rinse cycle, leaving the clothes sopping wet so they would take forever to dry. Kevin came out and quickly had the machine apart, cleaning the brake and testing the other mechanisms. He was also very careful to lay greasy parts on plastic or bits of sheeting to protect my flooring. He determined that the basket drive, the spindle connecting the transmission to the actual laundry basket, was worn and malfunctioning. He warned me that it was an expensive part, and that I could just pay for the cheaper service call if I just wanted to get a new washer. I went ahead and had him get the part, which just took him a day, and do the replacement. Everything is working great now! While he was working, he was also very patient with me watching and explained all the parts he was examining. He also talked about some of the issues with the newer phosphate-free detergents and water colder than 72 degrees F. I learned quite a bit from him. He identified buildup of the detergent as a contributing factor in the mildew smell we had noticed in the machine. Per my request, he left the machine disassembled overnight while he was getting the part we needed, and I was able to clean out all the parts of the tub, basket and agitator and remove all the gunk that had collected over the years. So not only does the machine work better, it's also more sanitary and smells better too!

All I got was an answering machine.

I called on friday March 5 and requested information about possible repair. Repair man called back, provided information that might assist me to resolve problem on my own and gave me the cost for a service call and the usual charges for labor - a flat rate. I called the office number and requested service call. I was told either the person I spoke with or the other technician,named, would call me back and schedule. I received call that afternoon and was able to schedule for the folowing morning. Technician arrived within time range stated, was professional, knowledgeable, thorough and pleasant. Charges were minimal - job well done - careful clean up. Very satisfied with this service and the way the appliance man does business. Will recommend to others and calll again if needed.

The Condo that I had just purchased came with a dryer that was not in perfect condition and required what quite literally came very close to contortionist positioning to start. Kevin showed up exactly on time, gave me some options, which included a new motor, but ended up getting me going to my satisfaction with a few tweaks and only charged me for the service call. I was happy not to be out of too much money and with the solution he provided for me. I have since recommended him to friends and would absolutely not hesitate to call on him again.

Great. I called on 1-26 and was given a repair date of 1-27. Cost for repair was quoted on the phone and detailed the service call charge, the repair cost and the parts cost. Repair was done and I was charged $10 less that the quoted charge, so that was a nice surprise.

Our 10.5 year old Maytag washer suddenly quit agitating and spinning. Kevin suspected the problem was related to a belt. Sure enough (and thank goodness!), he was correct, finding that a belt had indeed come loose. He quickly put it back where it belonged. He also noted there was no fraying or sign of burning on the belt (another thank goodness). He also pointed out rusting where bleach leaks through the bleach dispenser and recommended not using the dispenser any more to prevent further rusting and possible leaks.. Also learned that older machines require a water temp of at least 72 degrees for detergent to work correctly. I also appreciated the several phone calls Cindy made to be sure when we would be available for Kevin. I've run a load of laundry already and was delighted that our elderly machine performed wonderfully!!

I called this company several days ago and got an answering machine. I left my name & telephone number and asked to be called regarding repair of my washing machine. My telephone call was never returned since then, so I am looking elsewhere for repair.

He was excellent and was more of a small appliance repair guy. The first time I used him for my dryer. He was very prompt and he came out the same day. He found what was wrong and showed it to me. He fixed that for me and while he was here I requested him to look at my oven which was a kind of unusual make. He looked at that and he had to order the parts. He knew exactly what was wrong with it. He called me 4 days later and said that the part was in. He came and installed it and it worked great. Recently there was a problem with our dishwasher. He showed me the worn out part and also told me exactly how much it would cost. He had the part with him in his truck and fixed the issue in about 30 minutes. I have his number and would definitely use him in future.

I was very satisfied and would recommend "Appliance Man" to friends and use them in the future.

Grreat. very little water on the floor, cleaned up the floor. Was prompt and worked quickly.

I looked in the manual and it said it may be due to a blown fuse. I called the APPLIANCE MAN and he solved the problem for me over the phone for no charge! He told me to simply switch the fuse off and on for the clothes dryer. No everything works!

Gave us estimate, gave us time to think about doing the work but encouraged us to buy new to take advantage of efficiencies. We elected to have him do the work.

Called early on a weekday, he was here within 2 hours. Nice and professional. He charged $149 which seemed ok. The other place I called was going to charge the same amount.

I am so happy to find a reliable, competent repair person!!! I will use them whenever I need something repaired.

He was prompt, courteous and professional. It didn't take him long to determine the problem and now it works beautifully! I will recommend him always!

He was great. He was very quick, nice and professional. He wasn't all that expensive.

He told me about an experience where he'd seen an issue that simply required a "reset" of the computer that controls the appliance that solved the problem. He suggested that we just plug things in again and I wait a week or so to see if the problem came back. It didn't! Plus, he told me if he had to replace the computer for the fridge he wouldn't charge me a return service call. Just really friendly and helpful - would recommend to anyone!

He told me he could guess what the problem was in the Caloric and told me how to simply fix it. Said those stoves have a switch that gets turned off by accident. Anyway, he saved me the cost of a trip! Now MY dishwasher is not cleaning! He's the one I'm calling!

They came on time, and they were here when they said they were going to come. They fixed the problem and it worked for a while, but I am going to call them back again because the same problem came up again.

No work was performed because of the slow response.

This wasn't the first time I have used him. He is very timely, he returns phone calls quickly. And his prices were very reasonable. I will continue to use him for any repair on appliances I have.

The experience was fine. We didn't use them, the repair would have been about as much as a new refrigerator. We just bought a new refrigerator. I would have preferred to use someone that gave free estimates.
