The Appliance Man

I called Appliance Man and asked for a service call to repair a washer. The customer service rep asked me to get the model number an s/n off the washer. I gave a description of the symptoms of the problem. The CSR then told me that she would set up for a repairman to call to set an appointment for the services. As promised Kevin called and set up an appointment for a specific time on thursday 12:00 pm. Kevin was punctual and didnt require the 4 hour window for the appointment that most service companies want to give you. Kevin go right in and fixed the problem in 15 mins or less. I was astounded by his speed, professionalism and pricing.

Dryer had stopped spinning. Motor would run, but drum wouldn't spin. Assumed it was a belt, but it turns out it was another part. Seems this is a common issue with my dryer model when it hits 10 years old. Appliance Man fixed in 30 mins or less, then as long as we had him here we mentioned our dishwasher seemed to be sagging out from under our counter and no longer level. He leveled it out for us. Extremely affordable and very responsive. We placed the call on a Thursday and he was out here by Monday, which is nice considering we live on the fringe of the service area. My wife was at home (I was at work) and she interacted with him and said he was a super-nice guy.

We were very pleased with the experience and will use Appliance Man again if we need repairs again.

The biggest protion of the expenses related to the parts needed for each of the two large appliances. The labor cost was very reasonable and Kevin was very efficient in getting both the stove and diswasher repaired within about an hour. He had to replace the electric panel on the stove and the pump assembly on the dishwasher and came back later to replace a broken door latch on my microwave. I was very pleased with his work and have a sense if any follow-up were ever needed, he would provide it without question. Thanks, to Kevin and Angie's list!

Kevin diagnosed and repaired my fridge in less than 15 minutes! My fridge had been acting up for weeks and based on the feedback here on Angie's List I decided to give Appliance Man a call. Kevin had the replacement part in his truck and I was able to take care of this problem on my lunch break. Kevin will be the first person I call next time I need appliance repair!

Fixed our Dryer - and we were about to buy another one, adjusted our washing machine, and helped our refrigerator "limp along" until we bought a new one. In addition to only costing $125 or so, he came back a few days later at no cost in order to make our refrigerator work even longer. Now it is working better and we don't have to buy a new one!

We were very pleased with them. We had a humidifier we had in our garage that needed to be repaired and he took a look at our refrigerator. The person who came was very nice. He was able to finish the work in a day or two. He was on schedule. He called us just before he came, which was very nice. He came on a day that my husband was here. He answered the questions very nice and patiently. He was very accommodating and kept us up-to-date on what was going on. The price was very reasonable.

We had a small bit of phone tag confusion and ended up seeing him Tuesday morning instead of Monday afternoon, but once he got here he took care of everything very quickly. He's a great guy - polite, funny and does his work very well. He balances being personable very well with not wasting either of our time. I also appreciate that he's happy to talk about what he's doing and thinking, and letting me learn a bit too. He's definitely my go to guy for all my appliances.

Called the Appliance Man and spoke to Cindy. I was able to get an appointment the next day. Kevin was friendly and professional. When I explained the problem, Kevin went to work while explaining the different possibilities on why my refrigerator wasn't working. He quickly diagnosed the problem as the fan motor was dead! He had the part on the truck and replaced the fan motor. Kevin was kind and efficient. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs appliance repair!

Having issues with Microwave door, Dishwasher, and Fridge Light. I initially called them and they asked for detailed information. Then Kevin called back and clarified his ability to fix the in-wall microwaves was 50/50. Arrived when he said he would. Looked at the Microwave and even took it apart - confirmed he could not fix it. Fridge - troubleshot and confirmed it was not the switch - felt it would be the control board. (Which is causing other issues more than just the light) Dishwasher - tested and confirmed he thought it was the heating coil. Had no specific parts with him but you know what that was okay. He was very nice and this first visit was a NO CHARGE. Kevin was going to check on parts prices and give me a call which he did. Explained all $'s upfront and I agreed to do work. He arrives and all is fixed at the price he said he would do. Parts were competitively priced. Excessively pleased with their service and look forward to referring them to friends and using them again if the need arises! Thanks Appliance Man!

They service was perfect. Right on time. Easy fix and he showed us how to fix it if it ever happened again. Noticed the pipe running to the window was old, slapped a new one on free of charge. Will definitely use again.

The technician called ahead a day after I'd put in the service request to see if he could stop by. When he got here 20 minutes or so later, he immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem, then waited until the icemaker had filled up to confirm that it was working. Since it was such an easy fix, he knocked $20 off the service call. This was my third time to use Appliance Man. I'm sure it won't be the last.

I highly recommend Kevin. He came in the morning, didn't have the part to fix the ice maker on his truck, but picked it up and returned later that day to finish the repair. He seemed very knowledgeable. Previously I had another company work on the dryer but they couldn't figure out what was making the noise. Kevin took the time to fully investigate (took the entire dryer apart), found wires that were rattling against metal, and placed foam to prevent the problem. Easy fix but one must take the time to find the problem! I thought the prices were very reasonable. Kevin is also very friendly and courteous.

I was very satisfied. He was very quick and also informative. He explained what he was doing. He went further and shortened my dryer hose and cleaned it out so my dryer would be more efficient. He was in and out in half an hour. His price was competitive and I would definitely use him again.

They have several different people working for them under different names. I would probably use them again. I didn't get any other quotes but I felt their price was pretty reasonable. I was very pleased and I didn't have any problems. They did the work on time.

I called on a Thursday and the Appliance Man came out on Friday. I was given a time range and he arrived during the specified time. He put a piece of putty on the ice maker so the water wouldn't spill over. He said the only alternative was a new $150 ice maker. The putty has taken care of the problem totally! Not only was it an easy fix, he didn't charge me anything for doing the job!! How many companies do that nowadays?? I will definitely use the Appliance Man for future issues -- not just because he didn't charge me this time. I feel he's honest... he could have told me my only choice was the new ice maker.

Noticed it was not working right before the big family Christmas get-together. I called the Appliance Man based on Angie's List ratings. I was not disappointed. They told me that they could not be sure if he could get there before Christmas, but he did squeeze us in afterall. Stove is functioning, although I might have to call back for a minor adjustment. Thought the labor charge was a little high, but we were super pleased with the professionalism and cooperative attitude.

Would you like this man to come into your home and report you? Then don't use him. Would you like for his sister to call you with threatening and harrassing messages? Then don't use him. To be honest, I will never use Angie's List again because you do not know anything about the people they are referring! They could be crooks or worse. Believe me, my experience was awful!

Walked me through each step of the repair so I could do it myself if needed again. I couldn't have been happier with the service call & the experience, I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I called to report the problem on Monday. He came for a service call on Tuesday afternoon. He did not complete the repair that day because he had to order a part. He returned on Saturday to complete the repair. Fortunately, he did not have to replace the part he thought he would have to, and the repair was cheaper than originally quoted. Kevin was very professional and courteous and explained his repair very thoroughly.

He actually came a day earlier than planned. When original appointment was made it looked like he could not get to us for a couple days, but then called and said he had an opening later in the day. So he communicated well. His office receptionist was pleasant and helpful. When the technician arrived he showed where the problem was and explained everything he was doing and checking.

Fantastic. He fixed it over the phone. Told me to unplug it, wait a day, and see what happens. Thought is might be a frozen vent (he was right). Told me to call if it didn't work. No charge. Would call again.

The experience was very professional. He arrived on time. I'd already described, on the phone when I called, that my refrigerator wasn't cooling properly. He seemed to already know what the problem was and quickly confirmed that it was the defrost heater in the freezer had stopped functioning. He replaced it quickly, showing me the faulty one and replacing it with a better one. Very impressive!!
