The Appliance Man

Had scheduled an appointment to get my dishwasher fixed on a Monday but didnt get it looked at til Tuesday morning. Everything was explained to me with them not being able to come out that day and they accomodated me the next day. Very pleased with them coming out the next day and fixing my dishwasher. Will certainly call them again.

The Appliance Man was friendly and polite. He called to let me know he was on the way. He went straight to work on my dryer and was in and out in hardly any time at all.

We initially had some very minor communication issues but then Andre showed up right on time. He diagnosed the problem within minutes (literally), fixed it, offered advice on how to fix it if it happens again and checked to make sure I didn't have any other issues and that he had performed the work satisfactorily. Overall, very pleased with the service and will use them again!

The Appliance Man arrived at the estimated time. He went out to get the necessary part, came back, and repaired the frig - start to finish, about 1.5 hours.He was very courteous.

I just used him because he got A's from Angie's List.

He came and inspected my dishwasher and couldn't find anything wrong with it so he only charged me half of the service charge. He is very dependable and honest and I will hire him again.

It was super - my over is still not working BUT that's because he called me with the price of the parts and he recommended I call someone that deals with that specific brand. He said he was willing to do the work himself, but was having problems getting to certain parts and thought it would be better to call in another. He didn't charge me at all for coming out the first time, and I thought it was SUPER that instead of "trying" to fix it, he suggested I go to someone with more knowledge. He wasn't looking just to make a buck, he was actually looking out for his customer. I will definitely call them again if one of my appliances goes out. Two thumbs up, Kevin!!

It went great because he actually came earlier than the appointment time that he gave me and was very thorough and quick. My washer is very old but still in good condition. So when told me that it is still in good condition I was very happy. The time he spent was very brief but professional. He was very clean about he repairs and did not leave a mess. Time wise he was only in my house for 30-45 minutes. I will very much be using Appliance Man in the future for any repairs needed.

I called Appliance Man on April 11, having had a great experience with the company last year when they fixed my dishwasher. I thought they'd be too busy to come right away, but they were able to send someone the next day. He called about 30 minutes before arriving to make sure we were available, found the faulty part in our stove and fixed it quickly and efficiently. He explained how the part worked before fixing it, and gave us a break on labor costs. Very punctual, friendly and professional!

Ideal service. Kevin was able to make a house call on the same day I reported a problem with my refrigerator. He moved fast and had my problem diagnosing and fixing the problem. Highly recommend!

Frigidaire refrigerator stopped cooling. Lights still worked, but the compressor would not come on. Andre replaced the starter-relay (3-in-1?) after inspecting the unit and determining the factory one was faulty. He was very polite and professional. He had an after-market part on the truck, so the repair took about an hour start to finish. Only reason for B on quality was that the new part was not secured into the case very well. It was zip-tied externally, and dangled behind the unit where you'll never see it. It works though which what I really care about.

We called the first company on your list for dishwasher repair - The Appliance Man - on Feb. 23, we were told by the person who takes his calls that she would call him and get back to us to schedule a time and that a service check would never cost more thatn $55.00 and if he could fix the machine, labor would not cost more than $55.00. She called back a few mintues later to tell us he would be able to come that same afternoon. Kevin made a service run to our home the day we called (Feb. 23) to check out our dishwasher which was not draining. When Kevin came he found the problem but did not have the part needed (somehing in the pumping mechanism) so he said he would have to get it. The next day (Feb.24) he came with the part but after he took the whole dishwasher apart with all the pieces on the floor, he found it was not the correct one as our machine was an odd model of Whirlpool which apparently very few people have. But he got the correct part the next day (Feb.25) and installed it. The part cost $24.00 and he had spent at least 2 hours on labor so we thought the cost was very reasonable.

We reviewed Angie's List and selected the Applicance Man based on the very positive reviews the company had received from previous customers. I called the next morning and was set up for a noon appointment that same day. Arrangements were made for me to be called 15 minutes before Alvin's (the repairman) estimated arrival. As a result, neither my husband or I had to miss time off work. Alvin did call and arrived promptly. He was very professional and explained what he thought the problem was and what he was going to do to check out the situation. It turned out to be what he predicted, the pump (and he had one with him). He quickly replaced, checked his work for thoroughness, and showed me what caused the problem. Alvin's final demonstration of customer focus was his hesitation to move the washer back to its original position over concern for our hardwood floor. Fantastic experience!!!!!!

I hate to give him a good review because he is so good and hard to schedule. I found him on Angie’s List and my contractor also recommended him. He figured out that I had a bigger problem than I thought I did. He is wonderful. It is hard to find somebody good and he is just awesome. He can fix anything. He is so busy that he initially told me that he couldn’t get me in and then my contractor called his sister and got me in that way. I feel if he had taken me the first time he would have been a 100%. I hope I don’t have to use him the future but if I need to I will use him.

Did a great job! It is just a guess when the service was performed, but I do believe spring of 2011.

Andre Jones called and told me that he would be at my house between 1:00 and 2:00. He arrived at 1:05. We thought the motor on our washer was bad. Andre took the washer apart to find that a wire had come loose from the motor. It appeared that the wire was cut too short when the washer was manufactured, so Andre added another piece of wire to it to make it long enough to hold firmly to the motor. All fixed! Andre was very knowledgeable, professional and polite. I will definitely call "The Appliance Man" for all my appliance repair needs!

He showed up at the agreed time fairly early this morning, diagnosed the problem, and had the correct part in his truck. He removed the old part, installed the new one, tested it, and wrote out an invoice, complete and readable. He was efficient, courteous, and pleasant. He explained the malfunction, showing me the defective part, and left the old part with me, along with the new part's box, (showing the part #). He left the area clean. The oven is apparently working perfectly now, there is no hint of gas odor now.

I would use him again. He seemed very honest and upfront and he didn't overcharge. We just liked him.

The task of actually getting the work done was a bit arduous, as there was lots of calling and confusion as to appointment time and previous discussions as to my time and daterestrictions. However, I have used this company before, and the work they do is excellent. Everything was explained to me plainly and done quickly, and a previous problem with slow water flow into the refrigerator was fixed, too! I really appreciated someone taking the time to explain different aspects of the process to me, and the speed at which the work was done. I highly recommend.

He is good. The guy has been so successful that he has had to turn over some business because he is too busy.

It went very well. The serviceman was very professional and reasonably priced. We would have used him to do the repair except for the inexpensive builder-grade dishwasher that was put in our home, we thought we should just spend the money and upgrade to something better since we didn't really like the dishwasher anyways. We would definitely use this repairman again!
