+ -1 moreI called on Tuesday and received a phone call back on Tuesday afternoon. We scheduled the appointment for Friday. Andre was prompt, very professional, and fixed the issue with my dryer, even cleaning out the lint. It took approximately 30 minutes. He had all of the parts on the truck. I will definitely use him again and refer friends as well.

+ -1 moreI called The Appliance Man because my 9-year-old dishwasher was not releasing the detergent at the right time during the cycle. Kevin and Cody came out when they said they would and started to work. They fixed the problem and showed me how to fix it myself in the future. They even fixed a sound problem I had ignored because it had gone on for so long, I quit noticing it. They charged me a VERY reasonable price, and were finished pretty quickly. I will definitely use The Appliance Man again.

Description of Work: Called to have them inspect a leak from behind the refrigerator. They came and inspected the problem and figured out a solution. Ordered the part and came a couple days later to replace broken part. . Overall I was very satisfied with the transaction. I was satisfied with the price quoted and the work performed. I would call Kevin again if needed for any appliance repair.

+ -1 moreEverything went fine. I called in the morning; they were able to work me in that same morning, and the job was complete by evening.
Description of Work: The dryer was continuing to tumble, but there was no heat. As I presumed, there was a problem with the igniter. Andre took everything apart, determined the problem, checked the price, determined he didn't have the part with him but put it on will call and came back late that evening with the part. Mission accomplished; I can get clothes washed and dried now!

+ -1 moreUsed them before to fix a clothes dryer. Good experience. Washing machine broke this week. I doubled-checked Angie's List to make sure scores were still good. Called and talked to young lady. Repair man (Andre) called me back a little later. Met him at home in 20 minutes. Within 20 minutes the problem was identified, fixed, and paid for and Andre was off to do more good for more folks. Andre is not a chatter box; he works fast with minimum fuss and moves on. Not rude or anything, just very task-focused, which is great.

+ -1 moreIcemaker had been giving problems for a few months then finally froze and would not work. Had in the past been able to get it working but not this time. A nice young man by the name of Andre came, dismantled and gave us a couple of options...........replace a thermo coupler, which tested bad, and he suggested a new thermostat also or replace the ice maker with new. Those two parts were approx $60 and we weren't sure if that would completely fix the problem or go for a new one @ $100. We replaced with a new one. He made two trips and his price was very reasonable.......would highly recommend to others...............

+ -1 morewhen i called the appliance man, the person that answered the phone was very pleasan t. she took down the information i gave her. a repairman named andre came out soon after i called. he left to pick up a part the washer needed and came back out in the early afternoon. replacing the washer part didn't take very long. andre was a friendly young man and he seemed to know what he was doing. i would definately call the appliance man again, and i would ask for andre again. the reason i graded the price a B is because my husband usually fixes our appliances when they break and i had not kept up on currant repair prices.
Description of Work: my four year old washer needed to be repaired. i called appliance man. the repairman (andre) came out, determined i needed a part, left to pick up the part and came back in the early afternoon. the part was quickly replaced and my washer has been working ever since.

We called Appliance Man Sunday evening and left a message telling them our Whirlpool Duet front load washer was showing an F 02 error code - and would not drain water from the basin. We received a call first thing Monday morning (by 7:45) letting us know that they could fix the problem on Monday. The service man arrived by noon on Monday, and promptly diagnosed the problem - a faulty drain pump. We had mentioned that the drain pump may be the problem, so he stopped and got the part on his way to our house just in case. He replaced the drain pump within 30 minutes. He also checked for leaks after installing the pump, and ran a test on the washer to make sure it was working properly before leaving. We would definitely recommend this company to others. Service was excellent and price was reasonable.

+ -1 moreThey came out and spent a considerable amount of time tracking down a hard to find loose wire connection. Once they located it, they fixed it quickly. Considering the time and effort needed just to diagnose the problem, the price was very reasonable--this was not just a case of replacing an easily spotted broken part. Very happy with the work. Keeping their number on our fridge!

+ -1 moreCalled the office at 10:00 AM with a description of the problem and my Frigidaire Clothes Washer model number. The repairman, Andre, called me at about Noon to arrange an appointment. He was at my house by 1:00 PM with the correct part to fix the door lock problem. Since it only took him about 5 minutes, he didn't even charge me for his labor. The only charge, in addition to the price of the part, was for the "Trip Charge" of $60. I downloaded a $15 coupon from Angie's List, so the Trip Charge was only $45. I am currently doing my second load of laundry and have already recommended The Appliance Man to someone else. VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!

+ -1 moreWhen we needed someone to look at the dishwasher The Appliance Man came and helped us out. I loved his no games straight up approach. I was not so happy with the communication. More recently our refrigerator stopped working. I called him again and asked for specific calls giving me usable planning information around his arrival. His office and he complied very nicely giving me windows for his arrival time and then calls en route for the initial diagnosis and for returning with the replacement part. That was very helpful, got my machines working quickly again and saved us time and money and avoided frivolous machine replacement when we had no idea why they quit functioning.

Description of Work: My freezer was thawing food. The service man checked out my refrigerator and discovered the compressor had been burned and I would either need a new compressor or new frig. I opted for a new frig. He was prompt and courteous. I paid the service call.

Description of Work: My dryer quit working. I assumed it was heating element. Andre was right on time and proceeded to check out dryer. He said my heating element was okay, and didn't want to replace a part that was okay. He checked the thermostats and said they were okay. He thinks it is the setting I am choosing to dry certain clothes on. I had a coupon and he charged $45. He said if it quit again, to call him and he would not charge a service call, but charge only for part and labor. I was impressed that he chose not to replace the part because it was still okay. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

They did a good job, they were fast, and I end up not repairing it, because the repair bill would have been so expensive that it was better just to replace. They were good about that. + -1 moreMy refrigerator door would not shut all of the way. I thought I would need a new gasket which I was quoted $101 for the part. After Kevin came out the next day after calling, he said a new gasket was not needed and he would be able to fix it with just a new plug and hinge. He was able to get the parts and came out the next day (on a Saturday!) and had it fixed within a half hour. He was very pleasant and professional. The price was very reasonable, in fact less than I had anticipated. I would definitely call him again for future repairs.
Description of Work: Kevin replaced a a hinge for the refrigerator door and a plug on the front door.

+ -1 moreA rehearsal dinner for 75 people at my home was fast approaching and the basement fridge hadn't worked for two years. The technician spent time with me on the phone before coming out doing an excellent job explaining what could be the problem and all the pros and cons of any action that might be needed. I decided it was well worth the $60 to have him check it out (20-30 minute drive to my home and the time it took for him to diagnose). When it was discovered that the compressor (I think) was a goner, he gave lots of advice towards what I would need to purchase for our situation. He was probably the most pleasant, informative service person I had ever had the experience of dealing with. I will absolutely call them again if need be.

+ -1 moreFrom the time I called, the repairman arrived within 30 minutes. He checked out the motor, detemined that it needed to be replaced and actually had the right one in his van. The entire thing from phone call to finish took about 1 hour, and I was shocked at the reasonable cost. I would definately call this company again.

+ -1 moreProbably should have asked The Appliance Man to diagnose... fill valve may not have been bad. The timer was definately bad. The time he took to test run the dishwasher each trip was invaluable. Our unit cannot be replaced without removing the cabinet top. So even more important to get the repair right.
Description of Work: A repairman was fixing our washer and we had him look at a problem with the dishwasher. Said it was the fill valve but the bid to fix it seemed high appearing to incude a full hour labor trip charge and mark up on the part when he was already there. We opted for other bids selecting The Appliance Man from Angies List and he ended up with the best price. After he replaced the valve he ran it and found it was not cyling to top rack. He called back the next day with part number and price. Suggested we compare on line and we found it cheaper he came back within 24 hours of the part delivery installed and tested as shifting to top rack and back to lower. No charge. Never late. Quick response time. Gave us shipping label to send parts back to manufacturer for tracking of model problems. Will use The Appliance Man Kevin and Cindy in the future. Total for service call and fill valve was 93.85 included 15 off coupon. Timer was 140 for OEM timer part.
