The Appliance Man

So I looked up on Angei's list and found The Appliance man !! ! .I was not expecting anything till later in day or even tomorrow I sent a text to Casie at 10:16 am and by 10:17am I had recieved a text back !! Then we proceeded to text her what issue was and I also had a issue with the ice maker at my house not that far away By 10:30am Casie told me that she was sending the order over to Ti and have it schelduled .I was not expecting anything till late in the day or even tomorrow !!! But we went to eat breakfast and by the time we were done I got a call from Cory to ask if ok to come over now ??? Sure . I met Kevin and Cory at the house and they already knew what was wrong and explained that it would be a total of 153.00 to fix he just had to see if the part could be found , Well the meantime Cory was defrosting all the ice off AND kevin was finding the part , He said he found it and would have to get it and be back in morning to install and everything would be great !!! He said he be over at my other house when he finished there and look at the ice maker . We left and in about 15 min here came Kevin and Corey and before I knew it he had that issue pinpointed seem the line was clogged in the back . After the clog was undone the issue was fixed and when we asked how much he told us that he would just charge the service run of 69.00 THAT WAS A PRICE I COULD NOT BEAT !!!! and THE SERVICE ON BOTH HOUSES WERE COMPLETED AND EXPLAINED IN LESS THAN 3 HRS and that is including setting up the first text to THE APPLIANCE MAN !!!! WOULD I USE AGAIN SOME MIGHT ASK ?? A BIG YES YES YES !!!!! Aug 27th As a follow up on the part that they had to get , Kevin called me at 9:45am to tell me that they were on the way to my house on Tally Ho to istall the part !! IF THIS ISN'T GOOD SERVICE THEN IT IS SUPER SURPURB !!!!!

Determined it was not the belt of the washer tub but the transmission of a 20+ year old washer - and determined the repairs would exceed the costs of buying a slightly use washer. Offered to do a more complete estimated - but my experience led me to believe the assessment was quite accurate. So I purchased a used Maytag washer and dryer set from Craigslist within a few days.

We looked at Angie's List when our Refrigerator needed worked on. The Highest rated one at the time was "The Appliance Man" We had used him before it had been a while we probably found him through Angie's List. We called and they showed up the same day, wore shoe protectors to not mess up our floor, They diagnosed the noise, and replaced the motor, they took $10 off the bill for the Senior Citizen's Discount that is listed here on Angie's List. We couldn't be happier.

It went great, he was able to come a day earlier and he diagnosed the issue and repaired the machine very quickly. will definitely use in the future if the need arises

Went great...Father/Son team...very professional..he also checked my broken ice maker. I was told a few yrs ago by another repairman that it could not be repaired..he fixed it very easily...THAT was very nice!!!

While checking over the dryer, the repairman found that someone had hotwired past a circuit that prevents overheating and fire. We were shocked that someone would do this and risk burning the house down. The dryer came with the house when we bought it 4 years ago. We had that circuit replaced also, which added to the repair cost but was worth it. The dryer was working when he left but when we used it later that evening, it would not heat up to dry the cloths. We called the following work day and he came back out and needed to fix the coil. It had tested O.K. on the first visit, but probably blew right after he left. That's a risk he warned us about with an older model but we decided to fix it anyway. He only charged us for the parts for that fix. The dryer works great now and it did cost less than a new dryer. The only difficulty with this provider was the hours available for repairs. The hours were limited to workdays from 10:00 to 5:00. When we arranged a time late in the day with the office, so we could get off work to be there, the repairman called and wanted to come early afternoon. We had to call back and work out a time that was later, but he showed up promptly at that time. Rescheduling to have the second repair was also difficult with our work schedules.

He was punctual, nice, had a helper with him who was also nice. Did job quickly and economically.

Andre came out and was very professional, had the part on hand and replaced it. He had my washer up and running in no time. They will be the only service provider I call in the future.

See above - it went very well and all the interconnected problems are now gone. They even were diligent about the clean up and ensuring they used slide outs to move the refrigerator so as not to harm our floor. Accepted our $15 off Angie's List coupon readily.

The repairman called to let me know what time he would be at my home. He was on time, friendly, and went right to work. We needed hoses replaced on the washer. He diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. Price was fair for parts and service call. Overall very satisifed with their service.

My freezer was not holding temperature. I called and was told that they would be able to come out the next afternoon. The next morning, I received a call and they told me that a previous appointment had run quicker than expected and they would be able to come in 1/2 hour if I wanted them to. When Kevin arrived, he quickly identified the problem, gave me a cost to repair, and fixed it. The part cost was actually a few dollars less than on-line, and warranted for 1 year. Very prompt and reasonably priced. UPDATE: 3 weeks later, had an issue with the temperature going crazy. Called and they worked me in almost immediately. Kevin replaced a sensor (no charge!) and it has been working perfectly since. His follow-up earns him high marks!

Next day appointment. In and out in 25 minutes.

I called and made an appointment for someone to come out and look at my refrigerator. The technician arrived when he said he would even calling ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He tested and was able to determine that it had a small leak. He sealed the leak and added freon and now it is working great!!!. He even fixed a piece that I had broken at the bottom of the refrigerator which I didn't think could be fixed. I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend this company and will certainly use them again if I have any other appliances that need repair.

It went great. He thought the problem was going to cost over $400 but once he started-- he realized the repair wasn't as bad and it would cost much less. He even called around until he found the part for the lowest price he could find.

I cannot overstate how good an experience this was from first call to final fixes. My appointment was easily set and Andre diagnosed both issues quickly. He was very knowledgeable and told me what my options were. He ordered parts and returned a few days later to install them. He was prompt, pleasant and professional -- and very careful with the wood floor in the kitchen when he pulled the dishwasher out. The service was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I have already recommended Appliance Man to someone at work and will use them again, should the need arise.

My clothes dryer was squeaking, loudly. It turned out to be the "spinners." It took appx. 30 minutes to replace all four of the spinners. The repairman called when he was on his way and they came within 2 days of my original call to them. We did miscommunicate a little about the day they were supposed to come over; I understood they would be calling to schedule but when the repairman called he was already on his way. I wasn't home, so he had to come the next day. I would say to make sure you and they confirm the date/time so that is clear. Overall, I am a happy customer and my dryer is in perfect condition.

The response to my call was almost immediate and very professional. The service technician called ahead of time to discuss the issue, he was on time and was professional as well.

I called on a Monday to request service and the scheduler told me the tech would call the next morning. He didn't call. I called the scheduler back at noon to inquire and she said he was on schedule to come between 1 and 2pm and that he'd call when he was on his way. He didn't call, but did show up during that time. He diagnosed my problem easily by calling GE with my error code and left within five minutes saying he'd call me within the next day or two with the cost of the part I needed when he had the information. He didn't charge me for that visit. Fast forward the next Monday afternoon, and I still hadn't heard from anyone. I called and left a message after hours inquiring about my service. I received a text on Tuesday morning requesting to come replace that part. Two techs came in (I still didn't know how much my part would cost) and replaced my part within 20 minutes. They were friendly and did a good job. The service ended up being about $100 in addition to my ridiculously expensive GE part. I thought that was a little steep considering the short amount of time they were at my house. But I don't have these services done often, so I don't have much to compare it to. Overall I would say they did a good job and would use them again. However, I do think that they need to improve their communication. I hate to have to beg for service, when I'm paying you so much money!

I though he was great. I highly recommend them. My dispenser was not under warranty but he fixed for pretty inexpensive price and saved me a lot of money. I was pretty impressed.
