Response from Reling Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
Thank you for taking the time to fill out a review. We are sorry to see that you were not happy with your final bill. As we explained to you and every one of our customers, we work by the hour when making repairs. We do our best to give our customers an “approximate cost” when asked. We can only estimate how long a repair is going to take and what materials will be needed. This is ALWAYS an approximate cost when we do this. We only give formal written estimates on installing new equipment. In your case, the technician gave you an educated guess as to how much time it would take to recover your existing R22 in your system and refill it with R422B. The job may have taken longer and used more refrigerant than expected. We do not inflate the cost of our materials or labor. In your defense, the technician quoted you a wrong “approximate cost” per pound of refrigerant. In turn, he discounted the current cost. The technician used 10 pounds of R422B and a dye capsule on the service call. We don’t like to see our customers unhappy. So if you would like to discuss the cost he quoted you versus what he charged you, please feel free to contact us. Please reference your invoice number 2186 when calling. In the meantime, please reflect on your bill and call around to other companies and ask them the going rate for R422B per pound. I have a feeling you will be more than satisfied with what we charged you. Best Reguards
