We cannot say enough about Vic (designer) and Phil (installer). Their level of professionalism and quality is unmatched. We had a small under-stairs storage closet, that they created the most beautiful work of art, in the form of a wine cellar, I have ever seen. They always arrived on schedule, and were in constant communication, throughout the entire process. It took a little longer than I originally expected, but it was well worth the wait. I guess you can't rush a great wine or wine cellar! It was so worth every penny!

He is very professional and easy to work with. He is expensive, but you get what you pay for. He does such a quality, thorough job, it is well worth the expense if you want a good wine cellar.

Wonderful experience. Vic was very helpful when I first talked to him on the phone. He ordered the cooling unit we needed to replace. Vic and Jeff showed up on time, replaced the cooling unit and made the repairs. They left my wine cellar clean. He also discussed ideas for expanding our cellar.

We met with owner and set up the design. He was in constant communication and very attentive. The craftsman that designed the shelving was a perfectionist and overall we are extremely happy.

The job done was great. They did a great job and it looks beautiful. In terms of price, I did not look anywhere else, so I do not know. I would use their services again in the future.

Vic made an appointment and came to my house. In making the appointment there was no mention of a fee for an estimate. We first discussed building an enclosure that would be temperature controlled. Vic said he used contractors to build rooms and he would charge a design fee. After we discussed it further and rough costs, I informed Vic that building a room exceeded my budget so we discussed putting wine racks in the existing room. He said he would send me some ideas via email. For 14 linear feet of racks the cost was going to be $6,000. When he followed up with a phone call, I indicated that it still exceeded my budget. He still wanted to send me another proposal. I next got a bill for $150 design fee which I did not expect. I sent him an email indicating the misunderstanding since I thought the design fee was associated with his working with a contractor to build a separate temperature controlled room. I would not have agreed to his offer to send me wine rack configurations if I knew a design fee was involved. I have no intention of using any of his ideas. I received back a very unprofessional email stating in part "....sorry that I wasted my time, travel expense and provided insight.." and ...."...we have not run into individuals of your nature in this niche industry or via our referral." I have had many contractors and service representatives provide me estimates in the past without paying a fee nor have I ever been insulted before as a result of my not working further with them.

Vic Trappe and staff measured the room, designed the racks, responded to my suggestions, built and finished the racks and installed them in my wine cellar. Vic and the installer were expert, punctual, and efficient. The racks are gorgeous; they are just what I hoped that they would be.
