+ -1 moreI was impressed with the staff. They have a goal of taking care of the customer and they did. The company servises a neighbor of mine and I observed their quality of work. I stopped one day and asked them for an estimate. Brad, his supervisor, walked me around my house and made suggestions on what should be done. I followed his suggestions and I extremely pleased with the results. I had some questions regarding my lawn and Brad was very informative and made suggestions as to what I should consider doing in the future. I will call the company and have them do what Brad recommended.
Description of Work: Cleaned out flower beds,and around trees, applied weed killer and put down mulch.

+ -1 moreSee above. We never did get the quote we requested and have received no follow-up from Gordie. The experience does not in any way make us want to do business with Gordie who appears to be unreliable. When he finally did call us back, he gave a quote that was so outrageous compared with the other two that I had gotten.
Description of Work: I contacted Gordie to get a quote on snow removal services for the winter. He indicated that he would have the quote to me by that night (11/17/11) or the following day. I never received a quote. I called him back several days later and left him a voicemail. He returned my call and left me a voicemail saying that he texted the quote to my home phone number and indicated that he didn't realize that our phone did not have text messaging. He asked that I call him back with an email address, which I did on Tuesday, 11/22/11. We still have not received a quote or a phone call and it is now 11/29/11.

+ 3 moreGordie did such a good job on the home that we sold, that we had him do repairs on the new home. He also was significantly involved in finishing a basement bath and entertainment center in the new home.
Description of Work: Gordie and crew did some significant siding and deck repair on a home that I sold last summer. Because of wood rot, aa cupola had to be rebuilt and repainted. When we hired Gordie, he inspected the home and gave me input as to which things on my home would fail inspection and recommended the best approach for repair. His anticipation of problems ensured that hour house passed inspection and that the buyer had no concerns with the condition of the home.

Description of Work: Gordie plowed our Private Drive since the city won't plow. Since I'm a Pet Sitter, I need to get out early am. Gordie does his best to get here early. I also had him plow my driveway several times this winter.

+ 0 moreMy experience with them has been great. I don’t have to check up on them. They come every week and send me a bill at the end of the month. It is very simple and I don’t have to be at home. The price is reasonable. They are very trustworthy. I emailed him when I wanted someone to cut my yard and he said that he could start in a couple of days.

+ 1 moreWe had 3/4 of an acre on a hill with grass that has been growing for a few weeks. The man came out for an estimate and had someone out the same evening. I was impressed with the estimator, as well as the worker himself. We plan to use them again, when necessary (delivering dirt, grinding a stump and handyman services).
Description of Work: I contacted three businesses for a single time mowing of our lawn and edging. Two of the companies wouldn't come out at all. Trim It Up advised that they would be able to squeeze us in because we were Angie's List members.

+ 0 moreWe had a good experience! Gordie responded to my request for an estimate quickly. He is professional and thorough. The work was done on time...and done well. I felt like the painting pricing was great! I don't have much experience with hiring handymen so I'm not sure how his handyman prices stack up against competitors. The work was done well so I'd call Gordie again!
Description of Work: Our entire home interior was painted. Our front door was also re-painted, as was a place on the ceiling that needed to be repaired due to water damage. Gordie was terrific! He gave us some great suggestions for paint color and even helped us select a shade that would cover well with a single coat! He is very professional and the work was done well. His price beat the other estimate we got so we went with Trim It Up. We also used Trim It Up to complete some handyman work as we prepared our home to be listed for sale. The handyman jobs were: repair and re-paint a place in the ceiling where there had been water damage from kids splashing in the bathtub on the second floor; install several faucets and re-connect our garbage disposal and water lines after a sink was changed out; install a light fixture; clean an existing light fixture that was too high for us to reach; install a replacement slider screen door; re-sealed a bathroom drain; re-caulked kitchen and bathrooms.

I also received estimates for interior painting that were very reasonable but I did not schedule to have that done yet.
