The whole process from estimate to installation went smoothly. Steve came out to the house twice and answered all of our questions in full during the initial estimate phase. His price was competitive and several hundreds of dollars less for a comparable product at another retailer. He was always professional and responded quickly to any questions we had. We will consider utilizing his services again if the need arises and would recommend him to anyone who is interested in window treatments.

Had this company install the blinds to our new home on every window except two garage windows. They had all the blinds installed within an hour and even installed the garage blinds for me as well. We did have to wait an extra day as they did not arrive from shipping (I should have ordered them sooner), but they provided us with temporary blinds for the windows we needed. They were easy to work with and easy to get in contact with if needed. I would highly recommend using this company.

A+++ for responsiveness, friendliness, and respect for surroundings. Steve came by the same day I called to make an estimate. We decided what we needed and he ordered the blinds. The first set arrived in a couple of days and they were installed without a fuss. The second set took a few days longer to arrive, but again the service was speedy, friendly, and complete. Now I'm enjoying beautiful sheer window roll-up shades that will appropriately block the sun and keep my office cooler in the summertime of Hoosier heat. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. I hope to use him again for a future project either at the office or at home.

I called and made an appointment for the representative to come and give an extimate. Very prompt. Also voluntarily gave an extimate on things I was not going to do at this time but ended up doing . Very reasonable.

Steve was very professional and knowledgeable. Working under the pressure of a deadline, he quickly helped us select the colors and styles we wanted and got everything installed before we moved back into our remodeled house. We are pleased with the result.

Overall first-rate experience with Steve Imel, aka The Blind Man. Steve is very personable, efficient and made excellent recommendations (which we accepted) for blinds for a newly renovated basement area. Delivery and installation both great (done by Steve's son, Sam) and ahead of estimated delivery date. We will need to replace some blinds on our first floor eventually and I'll be calling Steve.

So far, all has gone well, and they are scheduled to come out soon to complete the job at my daughter's home. They did an outstanding job, they were very consciencious, kind, thorough and reasonable.

Steve Imel is outstanding to work with. He is thorough, punctual, honest and friendly. He was patient with me when I had a hard time deciding on which type of window covering to put in certain rooms. In the end, he installed shutters, wood blinds and woven shades throughout the house. I am happy with all of them. He uses quality products, installs them himself and stands behind his product. I would recommend him highly.

Steve is one of the best contractors i have ever used. He was on time, pleasant and brought a ton of options. He was honest and gave me great feedback. The installation was quick and my blinds are great. I got an estimate for some additional rooms and when i have the chance I will call him back and finish the job. We acquired a total of 4 estimates from the top 4 contractors listed on Angie's List for window treatments. Steve was the last we got, and admittedly, his prices were just a tad higher than a couple of the others, but he was far and away the most creative in terms of ideas for window treatment styles (that also ended up being most affordable). In the end, we went outside the box with woven reed blinds in the living room (as opposed to drapes, side panels, or the standard faux wood in white = boring!), and they look amazing. We're really glad Steve proposed such a unique design, as we couldn't be happier with the look. He got the work done in two weeks after we signed the contract, and we were satisfied to get the work done so quickly. Lastly, my wife wants me to mention that we have a newborn son, and Steve was very thoughtful to this season we're in. On the afternoon he installed the window treatments, she was upstairs with our son, and Steve just left and trusted us to mail him the balance rather than risk disturbing nap time. Great guy. You won't regret hiring him.

It was a very good experience. They are prompt and I would recommend them to anyone. I hope I won't need new blinds, but I'll definitely call them if I do. A piece fell off and when I called them, they came right out and fixed it.

In late May we moved into a home which needed window covering replacements We called Steve and began a gradual process of replacing old shades with wooden shutters in several rooms with East facing windows overlooking the lake. We ordered French door and bedroom shutters first, and were very pleased with the privacy and light control they provided. After living in the house for a couple of months, we became aware that the two story array of windows in our east-facing living allowed the sun to shine upon the badly placed thermostat on the opposite wall. Without light control, the temperature in the entire house was being controlled by the sun shining on the thermostat. We had already spoken to a heating/cooling specialist, who had pointed out that given how our house is built, the thermostat could be moved, but now without damaging the walls. When our living room shutters were installed on a sunny day this week, the heating and cooling system was off because the weather was mild and the house was open. Still, the thermostat read 84 degrees when they began, and within minutes after the upper shutters were installed and tilted to direct the light away from the thermostat, the temperature read 72! Steve and his son Sam arrive on time, do their work carefully and efficiently and clean up after themselves well. We will continue to use The Blind Man to replace the remaining window treatments in our home as our budget allows. Thanks, Steve!

Steve was very prompt and professional from start to finish. He was very helpful in showing us options for different rooms. He tried to save us money whenever possible. On several occasions, he went out of his way to make sure we were 100% happy. He was super to work with!! We would definitely use him again!!!!!

The only reason I gave the quality a "B" - Good, is because I have only had them for a few weeks and don't feel I can really rate the quality until I use them for a longer period of time. I would (and have) referred him to friends.
