Steve and his son Sam came out to repair a honey comb window shade that the pull string had broken on. They called to ask if they could come early since they were in the area! Great! They are very friendly and professional. The job was completed quickly and easily. So glad I hired a professional instead of trying to follow the directions on the internet! I would definitely hire these guys again! A+!

Wow - awesome experience! He came out to measure the blinds and placed the order. A few days before we were going to move he came in and had all 4 of the blinds that needed replaced/repaired installed in less than 30 minutes. There was no mess left behind, no hidden fees, and they even gave a discount for going through Angie's list. Would highly recommend this company!

They were absolutely the nicest guys to have come Into you home. They came quickly, did a fantastic job on time and at a very good price. I can't imagine this being done any better. Sam took his time reinstalling and perefectly adjusting the Shades. It's rare these days to be this pleased with anything!!!

Steve was very professional - great personality - and creative in fixing the 25 year old custom vertical blinds (which still looked like new). He was patient in analyzing the parts he had to work with, along with miscellaneous parts I had available. He was very quick in getting back to me from my initial call, and also quick to schedule a visit. He was willing to come on site for repair, which others I called would not do. Steve also said that even if he couldn't fix them, he could rebuild a track to still be able to use the panels which are still like new, and it's good to know that this option would be available. I was thrilled to be able to have the blinds fixed so quickly and they work great now. He was VERY resonably priced and was able to fix something that others wouldn't attempt to touch. I couldn't be happier, and would call him again for any blind repair or any service that he provides that I would need. He truly gave us a "Merry Christmas."

I called Steve and he was very punctual even though it was the week of Thanksgiving. He arrived at our home within a few days and had blinds up the next week! Steve and Sam were very professional and extremely helpful in installing blinds in our new home. This was a new construction home so we had over 20 windows that needed treatments. They came to the house and measured all windows and gave us an estimate on the spot. Steve was nice enough to recommend what style would best fit our budget. We decided to do 2 1/2 inch faux wood blinds throughout. They look wonderful and I couldn't be happier.

I can't recommend Steve enough. He's hands on every step of the way. I was nervous about choosing appropriate window treatments for my historic (c. 1903) home. Steve came to my house to show me options, measure and give me an estimate on the spot. He had binders of choices and samples and was great about making recommendations to give me the right combination of privacy and light while maintaining the historic feel of my home. Steve was sensitive to budget constraints and had options at different price points. Zero pressure. He was able to match the exact color of my window trim so they look like a part of the house. The bamboo shades came in a few weeks before the shutters did, and he cheerfully installed them when they came in instead of waiting until everything was here. The installation of the plantation shutters was tricky - old woodwork, settled house - but he personally installed them and spent a lot of time working with the hinges and brackets to make everything perfect. There were easier ways to install them, but he was great about making sure I was happy with how simple and clean they look. I'm sure I could have found cheaper shutters, but I'm just as sure they wouldn't have looked nearly as nice. Not even close. Money very well spent!

I'm so very glad that he is so professional. I was afraid that maybe I lived too far away from his place of business for him to come to my neighborhood, but he assured me that it was no problem for him, even though the problem I had was very small. He assured me that I could call him again if another of my window blinds broke. It's nice for me to have him as a resource.

This was our fourth opportunity to use Steve Imel. He has now installed light and temperature controlling shutters in all of our bedrooms, our family room and our living room in four stages. Our house faces East Southeast and morning sunlight coming off of Geist can be blistering! The shutters replace previous cloth shades, drapes and curtains, and are a perfect solution for controlling this, because they are infinitely adjustable between opening for nearly unobstructed views and totally room darkening. Not only that, but they are far easier to keep clean, as they just wipe downThey are expensive, so we have done all of our large windows in pairs over a 17 month period. Steve and his crew have always been prompt, cheerful and courteous. Always carefully leaning up after themselves. One window to go! There will be a call back! Thanks, Blind Man!

The owner of the Blind Man was not able to help us as he was not a handy man but recommended one of this staff Tom Corcoran. Tom did a fabulous job very professional, friendly, and punctual. We will use Tom when ever we need that kind of work done in the future. Could not be more happy with this experience/

This was not the first time I have used the Blind Man for shutters - I have been putting them in my home over the past few years. He is professional, on time, and responsive to any issues after the work has been done.

The Blind Man showed up on time, provided quote and delivery time. The Blind Man showed as scheduled and the new blinds were installed with no issues. Extremely satisfied with the product and service...I would highly recommend.

For several years my wife and I accepted curtains and blinds at discount prices. We were so tired of trying to select our own decor. We both don't have an eye for colors. So one day my wife asked me what to do. I told her to search the best website, Angie's List!!!! The blind guy came out to our house and gave us so many option to choose from. With in 30 min we agreed to automatic release shade and color that go with about any color walls. Within two weeks after we gave him a cash deposit the job was completed. Outstanding job. Thank you very much.

Steve was great! He really knows his product and has a good eye of what will look good for each room. Based on his recommendation, I went with mahogany wood vs white wood for 2 windows and they looked wonderful!!!

He is very personable and straightforward. Everything was done very efficiently and the shutters came sooner than even he expected. We are very pleased with all the work and the shutters!

Owner Steve Imel came to the house to assist us in deciding what type of blinds were needed for the foyer, entry way and patio doors. We wanted to reduce the sunlight coming into the house on warm days and also provide privacy in the foyer. We discussed the alternative choices and his recommendations and made the decision on the blind types for each location. Steve measured the windows/doors and provided us with a work order that included the costs. He indicated it would take approx 2 weeks to have the blinds made and he would call us to schedule their installation. Within the 2 weeks he contacted us and the installation was scheduled. He arrived as promissed and installed the blinds quickly and expertly. He answered all the questions we had. After the installation we noticed that the airconditioning came on later in the day and shut down sooner than before. Also, we now had the privacy we asked for in the entry way. We couldn't be happier with the blinds and the services provided by Steve.

Steve and Sam were great to work with. I made an appointment with Steve to have my 16 blinds cleaned and we arranged to have the blinds picked up the same day I was getting my windows cleaned. Steve called several days before the scheduled appointment to advise they had a conflict and we arranged an alternate date. Steve and Sam stopped by the evening before to make sure there wouldn't be any issues and the next morning Sam arrived on time and took the blinds to be cleaned. Later that afternoon, he returned, put them back up and was finished within 30-45 minutes. The process was easy and although we had to adjust our original plan, they were professional and friendly and a delight to work with.

Steve was very helpful. My project was a big one as we are moving into a new home without existing window treatments. Steve listened to what I thought I wanted and then encouraged me to look at some products that were on sale and not as costly. He was very prompt in arriving, ordering, and returning for installation. I could not be happier with the outcome. I highly recommend Steve The Blind Man!
