Outstanding! From concept to completion, Surroundings by Natureworks was awesome! The design was unique and customized for our tastes and needs. They're crews were punctual, fast, and tidy. Randy and Eric were on top of the project and we saw one or both of them everyday there was a crew on-site, and we received phone calls when there were inevitable weather days. Over the years we've had many projects and by far, this company was the best in every respect. They weren't necessarily the least expensive, but there work is excellent, their design interesting and clever, and we feel we got excellent value. They really turned out backyard into a masterpiece that we are enjoying immensely.

After making the appointment, Randy and Eric came to my house and sat and talked with me about what I wanted from an outdoor living area and how I planned to use my backyard. We then walked around the yard and discussed plants and plant placements and they made some suggestions. Then they came into the house and spent another 90 minutes designing the plan and providing an estimate of what it would cost if they performed the work.

It was beautiful and the gentleman was extremely nice. He also broke down the project into costs in case I wanted them to do any of the work. At this time, we are satisfied with just the design.

He accomplished what needed to be done and scheduling was fine.

After collaborating for some weeks, we decided this provider was not the person to do the job. He was very nice, professional, etc., but we did not share the vision for the design and were unsure about the costs.

Randy and his construction guys worked as a team with us. Our thoughts, ideas, and preferences changed throughout the project, and they were VERY patient with us. Adam and DJ are exceptional craftsmen---did a terrific job for us and almost became part of our family----listened to us, asked questions, ensured that we were happy with directions and outcomes. Beautiful remodeling accomplished!!

I had a Big Deal. It turned out ok. They came out soon after purchasing the Big Deal. They didn't charge me anything else. It was fine. Nothing great, but not perfect either. We're still undecided about the plan. We might use parts of it, but we don't know. I'm not sure I'd use them again, but we would consider it.

It went well. We are doing more work with them. If we did the project with them, they would apply it towards the part of the cost of the project and we went ahead and did that. Randy was really good as to what we wanted, drawing up the picture, putting it together and getting it done.

Everything turned out good. There was one guy here. After he assessed and listened to what we wanted, he gave us a nice portfolio of renderings. The appointment was very helpful. The deal was well worth the service.

They were professional. They responded in a timely manner.

My experience with them was okay. I liked the finished project. But everything's done.

It was a Big Deal purchase. It was fine, very good. They came out. They gave me a plan. They gave me prices and they followed up. It was very good. There were no extra charges. They were very thorough. They were very good at what they did. They were very responsive. I had no complaints with them at all.

I left 2 voice mails for this company to call me to get this scheduled. They haven't returned my messages to set this up. I will be getting a refund.

The service went very well. They did a good job with the work, and we had no issues arise during the project.

The rain has slowed the work down, but we are certain that this will be completed as well as the other projects we've had them do. Randy is easy to work with and hires professional, dedicated subs.

We paid for a landscape design plan that included a deck and patio. The plan was very helpful, but the cost was too high. So we are doing the work ourselves.

Expectated more from the consultation such as a CAD plan rather than hand sketch. Professional consultation, but no action taken as a result. Contacted others for free design and estimates.

It was great, there was a scheduling hiccup at the beginning but I think that was more of an Angies list thing than any sort of problem. After we finally did get in touch properly they scheduled quickly. They even worked with me just before we were supposed to meet b/c I was running a little behind. Two guys came out (names escape me right now but I'm sure I have them written in their awesome leave behind paperwork). We walked around the backyard and I rambled on about things I'd like to do and they didn't laugh "AT" me even once. So after that we went inside talked some more, they showed me some of their portfolio and discussed different options on our project. I left them to work for a little bit and after not very long at all they had some drawings/sketches and even ballpark pricing for me on the various projects! These guys know their stuff, they delivered what was requested and more. We will definitely be calling them to get some of the list of stuff done early next year.

From first contact through the completion of the basic space, it went well. We wanted to have the extended patio structure finished by Memorial Day weekend and they really moved to get it completed in just a few days. That was impressive. Then it seemed we fell completely off their radar. There was grass planting to finish and a few things to be corrected and over the next two months we made several attempts to contact them. We sometimes got a response, sometimes not. Then without prior notice, someone would show up and do a thing or two and we would only know they'd been there because something had been touched. We wondered, are they done? Will they be back? We really wanted to know when they were coming so we could be there to make sure everyone was clear on how/what we needed to correct. We tried very hard to be patient, understanding that we started our project just as business would have been at its peak for them. But the last straw was when we needed to have a drainage pipe buried deeper (you could see the pipe peeking through the grass in some spots) and I came home from work to find two people working (again, no idea they were coming) and one of the guys was just putting sod over the top of the pipe. How they expected grass to take root and grow on top of a pipe I do not understand. I called Eric and politely sent them away, knowing they'd just have to come back to re-do what they had been doing. Eventually Eric himself came out to finish the job, which we appreciated. They say they do not use sub-contractors, but "co-op" workers. I don't understand that relationship, but they needed closer supervision and coaching on communication if they were actually on the payroll. Randy and Eric are great guys to work with, but the gaps in communication were disappointing. They get such good reviews and we had heard so many wonderful things about them, it was hard to believe that this happened. When we did speak to them about our concerns over the course of the project they were apologetic and understanding, but there seemed to be a disconnect between their words and the outcome. In the end, we got a great space which we use a lot, but we're still struggling to get grass to grow in the new area. We were going to do the job in phases and do a stone overlay in the new area and existing area, but I doubt I will use them again. I have never been involved in a project this size where there was not a wrap-up meeting and discussion about punch list items, but we have not heard another word except the final invoice. I realize this was a small job for them and maybe I was looking for big job customer service, but a little more attentiveness would have gone a long way.

They listened to our concerns and goals for the yard and came up with a plan and drawing - each area was separately priced so we could make improvements in phases. We are starting phase 1 this week!

They were very busy so scheduling took a little while. The service went very well. He took measurements and discussed plans for a patio. They are very professional and they have a huge portfolio they can show you of past work. They drew up a plan for the patio and landscaping which looked very good.
