+ 1 moreRandy was very nice to work with and has a good 'eye' for solving landscaping issues. His crew was terrific and my neighbor even commented on how meticulous they were.. they cleaned up every day as they left.. I was very pleased with the results.
Description of Work: After reading an article by Randy, the owner, in Current about pergolas, I thought that perhaps this was what my concrete slab patio needed. He came out to take a look and drew up a plan on the spot. It was exactly what I was looking for.... the work included adding pavers to the edge of the current patio and also using them to extend the patio about six feet. A pergola was built at the far end and plants, shrubs and grasses were added in an area below and beyond the pergola. This structure looks great and gives me added privacy ..and when everything grows out next spring and summer it should be quite beautiful to look at. We live in a housing addition with lots close together so this works well... .and yes, I do like my neighbors.

I had a pretty quick response time from the time that I called to have them come out and do an estimate to the time when they came out. I have contacted them by email in-between with a couple of questions and they are always quick to respond. So far it's been excellent.

+ 0 moreHe helped with mulching last year. He did a really great job adding some more things on a hill that we were having erosion problems with to help prevent erosion. We had horrible rains in the spring and we could tell that what he did really helped. He is the guy we go to for landscaping needs. We have used him every year to do some project on our landscaping. He listens to your needs and he is really good at improving the design of your landscaping. He will work with you and your ideas. He understands your price needs and doesn’t come up with something that you can’t afford. We have used him about four or five times in the last several years.
Description of Work: We used Surroundings By Natureworks + Inc in March. He added some plants to prevent erosion, improving the landscape and added some mulch throughout the yard.

We had to keep on top of that instead of them letting us know. The price was reasonable. But overall, I'm happy with their services and I would recommend them to others.

+ -1 moreThey provided us with a quote before the project. He is pretty active in the community and I knew about him. I had seen some of his work as well. He writes an article in the local Carmel newspaper that I like. I think he has a really good design sense. They were honest and straightforward about their building and got the work done fast. My neighbor used him and she did more price comparisons than I did and it came out pretty good. I didn't do a lot of comparison so I don't really know about their price. It is probably very good. He is my favorite contractor. They were fun to work with.

+ 2 moreIt was great. They had done work for us, which I liked. I interviewed a couple of other people and I liked their ideas the best. They were on time and their price was reasonable. They were not the lowest but they were not the highest either. They have good design ideas so everything is not a cookie cutter. They thought through what it was that I had in mind and came up with some innovative things. They had a really nice design book of projects they've done so I was able to look through that and show them what I liked and didn't like. That made it a lot easier.
Description of Work: I've had them do a few different things for us. They have done landscaping and the biggest job was to modify our deck, build a pergola and add a patio to it.

+ 0 moreWe really enjoyed working with Allen, their architect/designer. He had great ideas and developed several drawings for us. Their prices were higher than we were prepared to spend, although we were still considering this company. Then we were told that Allen has been let go because of financial concerns. His replacement missed our first meeting and was completely unprepared for our second meeting. We decided to pay for the drawings as promised and moved onto another contractor. They were cordial, but we were sad to see Allen go.
Description of Work: We were looking to replace our current deck with a sunroom/porch and paver patio with fire pit.

I think he did a really good job of making sure everything got done right. I think the price is very good. We will probably be using them in them in the future for landscaping.

+ -1 moreRandy Sorrell knows his stuff. He make excellent suggestions in an area where there was constant shade and growing grass and plants was a challenge. We followed his suggestions and were very pleased with the results. The final product greatly enhanced the looks and livability of the area.

I told him several times that was not my priority. He was a lot more expensive than everyone else but that was because he cared about the esthetics and not the practical.

The hardscaping included a patio plus some boulders and some rock work and the landscaping was with plants and 4 or 5 trees. We had a great experience. I really enjoyed working with Randy, the owner, on the design. I also enjoyed working with the fellows that came out to do the work. They showed up on time. They were very nice individuals and they worked well. I could ask questions and they answered as best they could.
Description of Work: Surroundings By Natureworks reconfigured my deck by adding on to my deck, built a patio in the backyard and put in landscaping and hardscaping.

+ -1 moreIt was unbearable. They began the work and then it sat for 6 weeks before it began again. The project manager quit and then a new one came in. There wasn?t any consistency in their work and they constantly left things unsecured. Everything was subcontracted so you never knew who was in and out of your house. Any issues they tended to be non responsive about.
Description of Work: They did a sunroom addition for us two years ago.

+ 7 moreThey were great. In fact, they were some of our favorite contractors. This was a giant project and they competed with several other good firms to get the business. They started with a comprehensive design of a two acre site. They completely reconfigured our lot. They built us stone walls and a lanai for our swimming pool. They even planted our yard urns in the spring. They worked very hard to find us the exact plants we wanted no matter how obscure. They also had to deal with a really grumpy pool contractor. Fantastic.
Description of Work: They did a very large landscape overhaul for us. It took over a year to complete. It included hard scape and soft scape. They did concrete work, fencing, and landscape design. They built us a limestone wall and three water features.

We had a picture of what we wanted, and he was able to make it into the screened porch we wanted. He was able to use the different design ideas. We had a couple other people come out that didn't want to mess with taking a part of our roof off, and he said we needed to do that. He said it would look better, and we really appreciated that part of it. There price was fine; nothing outrageous.

Description of Work: We had some yard work done by Surroundings by Natureworks, four months ago. They cleared a large area of our front yard. They laid down mulch and planted bushes and small plants. They also aligned a side of our property that needed to be reinforced with a number of really large stones. They even cleaned out some leaves from certain areas.
