Stanley Steemer - Carmel

Came to house and hooked up to our outdoor water spigot and started cleaning carpet. Apparently our spigot had frozen over the winter and when they turned on the spigot water started leaking into our basement garage. This went unnoticed by Stanley Steamer for over an hour while they cleaned carpets upstairs and in our basement. So for over an hour water was spraying into our insulated drywall ceiling and leaking and pouring water out of the ceiling and light fixtures. When they finally noticed, they told my wife (You have a big problem). They called their water remediation people out to take a look and they said they couldn't do anything until we had the broken water line fixed and to call them when it was repaired. My wife attempted to talk to the manager on the day of the damage and the following day and a third time and was told all three times that he was in a meeting and would call back within 10-15 minutes but has never called us back. We had another company do the water remediation and are facing over $6,000 in damages between the drywall and insulation removal, drying out and replacement and painting of the drywall. All this time Stanley Steemer refuses to even talk to us. We have been told that as part of the training for the carpet cleaners, they are to crimp their hose when they hook up to an outdoor spigot and listen for running water to verify that there is no leak in the spigot line that they are hooking up to. These guys obviously did not follow that training and caused over $6,000 damage to our home. Then to add insult to injury, the manager will not even return a phone call or offer to even help in the cleanup even though their company does water damage remediation. We want Stanley Steemer put in the penalty box for their unprofessional actions. We will also be following up with complaints to the Better Business Bureau and a small claims lawsuit.

They get the spots out from what my dog leaves on the carpet. They have always done a good job and I will continue to use them.

They never showed up. I called twice during my 12-4 window to get a better idea when they might be here. First guy told me he had no way of checking that. 2nd guy called dispatcher to find out where they were. Found out they were running late and would be calling me soon (15 min) Still had not heard anything 1/2 hour later (4:15) so I called and cancelled. Why give a window if you aren’t going to come in the window??? And no call to let me know that???

I have them come out to clean my carpets under a service agreement. This was my final cleaning under the agreement from last year. It seemed that the technician was more interested in getting me to sign for another year than actually doing the job I hired for. They wouldn't even start cleaning the carpets until I made a decision about the service agreement for next year. They did and good job cleaning the carpets but failed to put my furniture back where it was, chairs were left in the middle of the room, many furniture legs had no protection from the wet carpet. I've had them out here before, obviously, and the technicians were always very careful to put everything back exactly where it was. I'm still not sure if you actually save money under these agreements.

We purchased a two year agreement with them.

Arrived as scheduled and were good about carefully moving furniture. Disappointed in their ability to clean high traffic carpet areas, even after a followup visit to retreat/clean.

We were very happy with them. They were good. The staff was very professional. They were out in a timely manner, and they got the carpet cleaned.

They did a good job. They were very, very good. They're the only one I've ever had.

They rescheduled many times and kept pushing back the day of service. They couldn't clean all of my master bedroom, I don't know why they don't tell the customer what kind of dirt they cant clean in the beginning. The also couldn't clean walking areas or my stairs. The employees had good attitudes.

They did the work perfectly. My wife has asthma. She was pleased.

They left the couch in front of my bedroom door. I use a walker to get around and I could get in my bedroom. They did come back out and move it. They also didn't put the things under the furniture. So the second group that came out put them under the furniture.

They do a good job, show up when they say they are going to. They always explain everything in detail what they are going to do. They also have us take a look to make sure everything looks fine when they are done. I would recommend them. Very polite and professional.

Excellent! The operators were friendly and helpful, listened to our requests, and did a superb job.

The best part was dealing with the people and how quick they were. The worst part was that after three or four months, some of the stains that disappeared came back.

The home were renting needed to have its carpet cleaned. The areas were worn carpet and they cleaned the whole house. When I called to schedule my appointment they came the very next day and they delivered above and beyond the best customer service! They made sure I was 100% satisfied. They were very courteous. They took extra time to make sure I was happy. Wade Carpenter and Taylor Hicks both did a stellar job. I was very impressed with how they represented their company.

We used them a year ago June of 2015. They could clean the carpet better because we had to have them out twice to fix it.

I will never use again. All rooms were cleared and ready with bedrooms having no more than a small path to clean. The leader of the two person crew immediately said a red soft drink spot wouldn't come out (I got it out with Resolve after they left) and told me one room would be charged as two.This had never happened previously when Stanley Steemer came but I was told they were "cracking down". They did a very poor job in all rooms. The carpet is light and is well maintained so the crew did a quick once over thinking I wouldn't notice. The icing on the cake came after they left. I realized they had walked in mud unhooking the hose and trampled it all over the brand new concrete porch and driveway, and even back onto the carpet in my house when they had to come back in to wipe the deodorizer off the bottom of all my bedroom furniture. Worst experience ever but the day before Thanksgiving so nothing I could do about it at that point.

They did not push any products or services on me. They educated me and were fine with my choices. I won product at the home show last year and most of it I have not used. Alecia Biddle explained to me what to use the product I have for, how to use it and gave several examples of it's use. She also noticed I had "pet odor remover" and asked do my pets wet in the house? I said no not anymore. She volunteered to swap it out for tile floor cleaner as my downstairs is all tile flooring. I am very pleased with her putting the customer first and I will definitely use "Stanley Steemer" again. Zimveka Chimera explained to me the benefits of having a carpet protector sprayed on since we have dogs and high traffic areas. I chose to have the carpet protected, there was no pressure to do so.

I think they did an okay job. I walk with a walker and so some of my carpets take a beating, especially the one in the hall. They did a relatively good job. I didn't think anybody could get it all clean and they were as good if not better than I expected it to be. But it's not perfect, I was thinking I would have to replace it but I didn't, It looks okay. They came out about two or three weeks ago. They did what they could with what they had to. I would tell others that they were very good. He was here on time. He was neat. He did what he could with what I gave him to clean.

They arrived on time and did their work effectively. Job well done.

Carpet cleaning went outstanding this time. Person was very good and did a very good job. Have had them several times and only once did I think they did not do a good job. The duct cleaning crew did an outstanding job. They are in every room of your house and they did not leave any sign of dirt or anything else behind.

I have had an annual contract with Stanley Steamer for the past 5-7 years and I think the quality has significantly declined over the past year or two and I will not renew this year. A couple of issues with my recent service: (i) usually there are two reps who perform the service and this service just had 1 guy (ii) they perform certain precaution items (i.e., insulate the front door so it is not wide open while cleaning, put guards on stairway corners so they hoses don't nick up the wood when pulled over, etc.), which were not performed; (iii) the rep did not clean behind the furniture -- he just put the furniture on the protective foam lifts. When I went to inspect, I saw a coin on the floor that had fallen behind the nightstand and I felt the carpet below the furniture and it was dry and clearly had not been touched. SO DISAPPOINTED. I brought it to the rep's attention and he denied the error, but did agree to redo after I insisted.

We signed up for a contract with them to come back. They did a wonderful job. He was very professional and he did a great job.

They came on time, and they did good work. There was a spot they were very conscientious about and were able to remove. They did a good job, and I am completely satisfied.
