Spectrum Residential Contracting

I am extremely pleased with the work that was done. We have a back room that had an old layer of string paper (similar to grasscloth) on the walls, which had been applied over another layer of wallpaper. After attempting to remove it myself and discovering that it would take far too long for me, I called Andy. He provided details about how they operate over the phone, and while other contractors had let me know that it would take weeks to months to be able to fit me in, Andy brought his crew over within a few days. Because I had a tight budget, and it would be impossible to estimate how long a job such as mine would take after just looking at it, Andy offered to have his men work for a few hours on the first day to see how things were going, allowing us the ability to either authorize them to continue or ask them to stop based on the hourly rate. Things moved more quickly than anticipated, and we had them finish the job. I did offer to do one coat of priming prior to the skim coating on the walls once the paper and paste were completely removed, and we'll also be doing the final finish sanding and priming, simply to keep us within the budget we'd originally set. We're not only happy with the wonderful quality of the work and the professionalism/friendliness of the crew, but also grateful that Andy was respectful of our monetary issues and allowed us to help with the job in order to cut costs.

I spent $350. They did some drywall repair and painting. They did a great job. Everything was pretty good. They made sure they did the work they said me.

The house looks better than when we bought it. Spectrum helped us select the paint colors with an advisor from the paint company and then they came and painted after the water damaged walls had been repaired by another drywall expert. Our house is a nice house and we could not afford the painting to look like a patch or repair. We are not an easy customer and our expectation are high. Spectrum is incredibly meticulous and determined to "over deliver" and have delighted customers. This was a big and challenging job painting the high ceiling entry way, hallways to kitchen, kitchen wall, stairway going up, master bedroom, two bathrooms, and basement stairs. They stayed in touch, scheduled the times to paint, worked while we were gone and delivered beyond our expectations. I would never go anywhere else.

They did a very nice job. The paint job has held up nicely. They were very particular about the brand of paint they used. It is true as best I can remember.

It went very well. Andy and crews showed up on the days they said they would and finished the job in the time frame he allotted in my original quote. Costs were exactly as quoted. Costs were a little high compared to other quotes, but I liked the premium products he suggested and the comments regarding the life of the paint. The rooms were pretty empty due to the ceiling scraping done prior, but they did paint over a cold air return in the ceiling and light bulbs that were hanging down a bit too far so I would ensure everything is removed before they show up.

We've used Spectrum Painting for all our painting work since we built our house in 1992. In fact, we don't even consider using anyone else because we know we can trust them and their work is outstanding. The company is detailed oriented and perfectionists. They finished a large project in June and we are having them work on painting some newly-installed windows. Andy wants me to know the approximate time involved with a job, but I'm confident that we will be treated fairly and gave him the go-ahead before we had an estimate. That's the trust factor that is too often missing.

Andy and his team are a pleasure to work with. Our house had been damaged in a hail storm in June and in making repairs, we decided to change the color scheme for the exterior of the home. Andy spent a great deal of time with me finalizing a new color scheme and matching one of the paint colors to our new siding color. At the beginning of the project, he came out to the house to discuss what I wanted and provide an estimate. He was very flexible in fitting his team's schedule around my siding and gutter contractor's work. His team came out when they said they would be there, were meticulous in their work and did a beautiful job. No drips, no streaks, no paint anywhere that is should not have been. I was charged the estimate amount even though I believe the job took more hours than what Andy had estimated. I have used this company a number of times and I have never been disappointed. They may seem a little pricey, but the quality of their work is worth every penny.

They were a very friendly group of guys - they even did a little extra work I was not charged for!
