Description of Work: My wife and I chose Spectrum Painting after realizing that the owner Andy had painted my in-laws home almost 20 years ago. We were glad we did because we are both extremely happy with the finished product. Andy started the process by coming to our home explaining the meticulous method that he and his crew performs on interior painting projects. He also pointed out flaws in our walls that he would fix. After receiving our estimate, we felt very comfortable inviting this company into our home to change the look. On the next visit, Andy brought over quarts of paint that my wife and I selected. He painted samples in every room to make sure we liked the colors. This was a very good eye opener because we ended up changing a few shades to fit our needs. Thanks to that we saved time and money knowing that we would be 100% satisfied on the colors. Andy also offered plenty of advice on different sheens. Once painting began, we were very pleased with the crew that made up Spectrum. Aside from all being excellent painters, they were very professional. They all were polite, clean cut, and spoke English. Most of the time at least myself or my wife was home, but on a few occasions we were both gone. We felt 100% confident in trusting the painters with our home. We even left our dogs outside and they were kind enough to keep and eye out on them. After each day of work, Andy would walk around and examine the walls to make sure they met his approval. A few times, because of the nature of the paint, he would have another coat applied. As far as cleanliness, they treated our home with respect and kept any mess to a minimum. Plastic tarp covered everything to protect furniture. Once the job was competed Andy mentioned a few exterior boards on the house that needed replaced. Since we just moved I felt that it was a good idea to take care of those issues. Andy explained that they prime and paint every side of the boards to seal out water and also gave me a couple of choices on types of wood. The finished product looked great. Andy also replaced part of my mailbox that was rotting out from ants. I would use Spectrum Painting again and would recommend them to everyone.

The latest job involved the painting of the master bedroom and closets this included trim, our central hallway and stairwell and our front foyer. The master bedroom involved multiple windows and a high ceiling as well as a large closet. The central hallway and stairwell are very high traffic areas in our home and as a result require a fair amount of repair work as far as dings and bumps. The front foyer had some water damage and required the removal of some custom woodwork so that walls could be repaired. All of this was done with the minimum amount of fuss and exact attention to detail I have come to expect from Andy and his crew. They come in and are clean, courteous and unobtrusive. They work hard and are prompt. If for some reason they cant be here they call. I have referred Spectrum to neighbors and friends all whom have thanked me. I almost hate to tell anyone else what a good job they do as it will become harder to get on their work schedule!

Description of Work: interior paint of a new condo. They fixed all the post construction issues as part of the paint prep. made the place look first rate.

Description of Work: Spectrum Painting painted our exterior siding, trim, gutters, and all doors. The crew was very professional and did a great job. We would hire them again!

Description of Work: Spectrum Painting sanded, cleaned and spray painted our interior solid wood doors. They had previously been stained and we wanted them painted to match our white trim. They look like they were dipped in paint!

Description of Work: 2011 Handyman/Carpentry-exterior, refinishin and resraining front door with Sikkens premium stains and finishes. 2009 Deck cleaning and sealing of weathered wood. Refinishing decks using acrylic semi-transparent stain. 2008 Wallcocering removal of wallpaper that had been applied with a nom-strippable paste over unsized walls. Repaired walls (including corner beads) primed and painted. 2007 Deck cleaning and sealing of weathered wood, refinishing decks using acrylic semi-transparent stain. 2006 Whole house exterior painting. 2005 Interior ceiling painting.

Description of Work: Andy painted a conference room at my law office where a flat panel television had been installed over a fireplace. The contractor who installed this television had to cut out and replace some drywall to install the television. Andy skimmed, sanded, and painted the areas of drywall that had been repaired, and also painted the entire conference room so that the paint would match. He did a great job of taping and wrapping the flat panel television and woodwork, and the room looked great afterwords.

Description of Work: I had some wooden siding replaced at my home at Geist. Spectrum painted the new siding and also chalked from wood to brick.

Description of Work: They stripped re-stained and re-varnished our front door.

Description of Work: PAINTED THE ENTIRE EXTERIOR OF HOME, CAULKED AS WELL, OFFERING ANNUAL SPRING CHECK UP AS WELL.

Description of Work: THEY REMOVED WALLPAPER AND PAINTED OUR MASTER BATH. THEY PREPARED AND PAINTED TWO CLOSETS AS WELL AS THE BEDROOM WALLS AND CEILING. THEY PREPARED AND PAINTED THE BASEMENT STAIRWELL. THEY PREPARED AND PAINTED THE BREAKFAST ROOM WALLS. THEY PREPARED AND PAINTED THE CEILING BARREL VAULT IN THE LIVING ROOM AND ENTRY WAY.
