SOLARIS

In 2011 Kevin installed tinted film on all of our windows. After a year I decided that west facing bedroom needed a darker tint. I called Kevin and he came back and removed the lighter tinted film and installed a darker tint on the bedroom fanlight and on the transom of two other rooms. The rooms stay much cooler now and you don't get blinded when you enter the room. On the first installation one window developed "bubbles". I called him and he came out and fixed it. He did a great job. Installation was good and I'm very pleased with both jobs that he did for us.

After meeting with several companies, I decided to go with Solaris based on my overall impression of Kevin Koval, reasonable pricing, plus my neighbors personal positive experience with him. Scheduling the appointment was easily done via email despite the fact that I was out of the country at the time. At the time, he was scheduling a mere week out, which was much sooner than I had expected. I was thrilled. The day of, Kevin was running a bit late for our appointment, but called sufficiently early to advise of the delay. He was pleasant, professional, and efficient while in my home. He seemed knowledgeable about the window film industry and other area companies. Payment was easily made via credit card in my own home and the receipt was instantly emailed to me. Subsequently, Kevin emailed the film's lifetime warranty for my files. While I was mainly concerned with the sun fading my new couch, I have been most pleased with the reduced heat and glare provided by the film. To me, those were added bonuses.

Did a great job. The employee installing the window tint was very polite and was very efficient in doing his work. Kevin stopped by afterward to check on the job and discuss window care for the tints. It is amazing how much cooler the house is with the window tints on and I am looking forward to seeing some heating savings as I had energy conserving tints put on some windows to prevent heat loss in the winter.

The day before the installation, Kevin called and confirmed our appointment. He arrived at the appointed time and quickly went to work. The job was completed in one day and the light coming in the house had changed dramatically. We plan to put a four season room on the back of the house, and I will definitely use Solaris again.

The level of comfort in the rooms as the sun was streaming in immediately improved as the film was applied. He was completely efficient, courteous, and the product he installed is virtually invisible. It makes me relax knowing my furniture , art work, and especially my oriental carpets will not be faded, nor the color of the stain on the hardwood floors altered.

We haven’t had any problems at all over the past year. The owner was very thorough and professional.

They have been great. They are prompt in both showing up to do the work and giving of estimates.

We were really pleased with them. Kevin Koval is the owner of the company. We had them come out a couple of times because we did all the windows. We have been real pleased. Our goal was to cut down on the heat that came in. We have big windows and we didn’t want damage to the floor and upholstery. We didn’t want the air conditioning running all the time. He did the work himself and he is the kind of fellow I would be comfortable having in the house alone if I had to leave. He is a really nice young man. He measured the windows and gave us choices of film. He guaranteed that it would never look like the back windows that you see on cars. He gave us references and cleaned the windows. He cut the film and applied it. It is not a really long and intensive job but it was neat. He cleaned up after himself and you would have not known that somebody had been here. We had to have a window replaced because it was a problem with the builder. He came out and covered it again. He came out quickly and did it. We didn’t check other companies for price and we didn’t think it was out of line. We were just really pleased with the company and didn’t mind paying. I fully believe that if we ever have a problem he would right it. I wash the windows normally and it is getting along well so far. His responsiveness was wonderful and everything went like the way he said it would. We have recommended him too. I have noticed a difference in the sun coming in. When you have west windows then the sun can be just dim and I have a rug over the carpet and I have not seen it fading. I have some red wind chairs and I have not seen it fading. We decided to do all the windows simply because it would look consistent. At first we were just going to do the west windows and we had a bedroom which had a west window and a south window so we did both. Then we thought the other south windows also need to be done and so we got all of them. We are please with it and it looks consistent. It does a wonderful job.

We previously reported that we had contacted this company a couple of months ago for a quote on installing solar fiilm on a large window above our front door. The person I talked to indicated that he had an appointment scheduled near us and would try to stop off after. He didn't show up and I placed a followup call to them a couple of weeks later. I didn't hear back for a couple of weeks. He apolgized and indicated he had been out of town and just returned. We set up an appointment. He arrived on time, gave me some excellent alternatives at a price that was competitive and within my budget. We decided to go ahead with the project. He showed up at the appointed time; did an excellent job. We didn't encounter any of the problems that were warned about. We are extremely pleased and plan to have Solaris do more windows next spring.

Kevin tinted the 6 windows facing south and the 4 facing west, with great care. One simply cannot tell they are tinted, yet we know we now have the protection we want!

They were very prompt and very efficient. They did the job. I am happy with them.

It was absolutely excellent. Some of the windows cracked but it was the windows so we had the windows replaced and he came and retinted them with no additional charge. He was just the nicest guy. We had gotten three estimates and we liked his product better. His price was in the middle. He liked him. The price was excellent because we really got a good product and we got what we paid for. We would absolutely use him again.

Kevin is the utmost professional. He returned my calls immediately, arrived at our home on time, and is very knowledgeable. In fact, he seems genuinely excited about what he does. Our initial plan was to tint all of the windows on our southerly-facing house, along with a skylight in our family room. This would have cost several thousand dollars depending on which film we chose, and that is how Kevin wrote up the estimate. After looking at samples of the film we chose in our actual windows on different days and under different weather conditions, we decided that the film we liked best was just too dark on cloudy days, and also gave a strong reflection from the outside. I hated to tell Kevin that we had changed our minds and only wanted minimal tinting on one set of windows. But, of course, I did tell him, and he was very professional about the whole thing, and didn't try to change our minds or anything like that. If we decide to tint the other windows in the future, Kevin is the person I will call.

Excellent - wonderful responsiveness and service. We called a couple of service providers on Angie's List and they were immediate with a response, a visit to the house to see the area, proposed a couple of solutions and provided us with a detailed quote on the spot. It was next to impossible to meet with their competitor due to their lack of responsiveness and interest. During the install, they discovered that we had a certain type of window that could be damaged by the film and they spent the time to research, both with their corporate office and our window manufacturer the potential implications. While this delayed the process, their customer service and integrity was more important as they called this to our attention for resolution. They got the information we needed and everything turned out perfect. We are very pleased with the process and partnership - highly recommend. They are professional, quick, responsive and focused on the right result. While this is enough to generate business, their competitor's help by driving business to them with their poor customer focus and follow-up.

I have a house that is open in the back and there was bright sunlight and I was afraid that it would hurt my wood floor and drake desk. The person who came out was young, very professional and nice. I talked to him the whole time and I didn?t even realize how quickly he finished the work. He was very nice to talk to and he gave me some tips as well. He did a superb job and when I look at my windows I cannot make out if anything is on there, but it cuts at least 50% of the sun?s rays. I can leave my entire back of my house open to sunlight and I get to see the full sunlight and the brightness. It also cuts down on the heat and doesn?t damage my furniture and fabrics. I checked around and I found that their price was good. They gave me 2 discounts and one of them was because as I was a member of Angieslist.

Got Solaris's name from Angie's List. Kevin came out, gave us a price and went to work. Experience was fine and went as expected. We now have 7 nicely tinted windows and are quite happy.
