Thank you for your feedback. Currently Angie's List only has Window Tinting and Window Tinting - Classic Cars as categories. This can be confusing to members as the Window Tinting category covers every company in the industry whether they specialize in automotive film or residential/commercial window film (like us). You as a member need to spend time sifting through reviews for a service you don't actually want or need! It does not do a lot of good to read reviews for car tinting when you want to add film to your home and vice versa. It would simplify the search process for members if they simply had 2 categories to choose from: Window Tinting - Auto or Window Tinting- Home or Business. Specialty companies can shine in their respective category and those companies that do both can get specific reviews for each side of the business helping Angie's List members make good choices.

This is something we take very seriously as we want to offer the very best value to our clients. We did have an additional charge on this project due to removal of old window film. Removal can be a difficult and time-consuming process to do properly, particularly when new film is being installed. We know there will always be somebody willing to work for less using lower quality products. We also know that we are not the best fit for every homeowner based on a variety of reasons. What we are certain of is that our clients will receive the highest quality products available, installed by experienced, certified professionals, backed by the best warranties in the industry, all at a fair price. Description of Work: I had to replace an 8 foot by 3 foot stationary patio window and have it tinted to match the other glass panels. Even though the original tinting was done nearly 10 years ago, they matched the tint and reflectivity extremely well. Installer Bryan Shouse did a perfect job.

Description of Work: Installed window film on windows in a sun room that was unusable in the summer because of heat build-up. Expensive investment but worth every penny. This improvement reduces fading potential for furniture and has increased the window efficiency to that of a triple paned window. Would certainly use this company again.

Description of Work: Eric (sales, did estimate), Kevin (owner? Not sure) and Bryan (installation) did a great job. The estimate was prompt, they accommodated some changes (added new windows to the job) after the estimate, and were responsive and professional. Our AC in our relatively new construction had been running non stop and wasn't able to keep up with the heat. We have no shade to speak of and primarily west and east- facing windows. We elected to try window film because of the great reviews. We had all west-facing windows and a couple of east-facing windows done with VEP35 today. I've already noticed a significant drop in the interior temperature (and the AC is off for the first time in a while. I can feel a large difference just standing by the windows in the direct afternoon sun. When Bryan did the installation, I asked on a couple of occasions if he needed help moving things, wanted water, etc. He said the he preferred to work around things (no need to take curtains off, etc), and declined everything. I just tried to stay out of the way and couldn't even tell he was here for the most part. Aside from the heat difference, the glare reduction, and visually comparing to other windows without the film, I can't even tell its on there. No bubbles or particles that I can see under the film (significant since I live in a house with 3 VERY shedd-y dogs). I joked that I can't even get the screen protected on my phone without bubbles, much less window 12 feet up. But I meant it. My only slight annoyance was that we were supposed to have some special order privacy film put on the small panes around our door, but it hadn't come in yet. Didn't seem like Solaris's fault, and Kevin agreed to accommodate a late evening or weekend appointment when it does get in so we wouldn't have to take more time off from work. Great customer service.

I spoke to Kevin on the phone to obtain additional information about window film to determine if it was a good option for our home. Our southern facing 2nd floor windows/rooms, especially a bedroom on the southwest corner of our home, stay very warm year round. We had exhausted other alternatives as far as confirming we had adequate attic ventilation, etc, and had already replaced all windows in our home. Kevin was very professional from the initial phone call to the on-site estimate to the window film installation itself. He explained everything up front and was very thorough through the entire process. It is such a pleasure working with someone like Kevin and I wouldn't hesitate using Solaris again for our future window film needs!

Kevin made two trips to the house, one to bid the work and one to complete the work. He was both courteous and professional. He took care to cover his shoes once indoors and cleaned up after the work was complete. Great experience, great result. I will use him again in the future.

It went very well. This was the first time I had window tinting done, and Kevin was very informative and professional. He showed me several options as far as the type and color of tinting to go with, and the price was very reasonable. He did not take long to install the window tint, and was courteous. I would recommend Solaris.
Description of Work: Kevin tinted one transom window and two larger windows in my great room. It made a big difference in the amount of light that was previously glaring into the room and onto our plasma television.
