Gary Simpson quoted me $70,000 for a renovation project. I had to cut losses and let him go at $94,000 and 50% completion. The bathroom showers and tile work were good but everything else was poorly done or not done at all. Gary also broke my nice corian countertop and left it in a heap in the garage. He took zero responsibility, claiming it was poorly made. The paint job looked like 3rd graders got in a paint fight. When I questioned the progress, Gary reassured me we would be “close to that $70k mark.” Gary had done a few minor jobs previously so I trusted him. BIG mistake! I requested receipts for the nearly $30,000 he charged me in materials and Gary produced only $4,000 for the final week and the receipts included items not even used in the project as well as equipment like a paint sprayer, ratchet straps for his truck, jig sets, tool box organizer, drill bits, saw blades, etc that he took on to subsequent jobs. When I demanded more receipts - Instead of receipts, I received an email from Gary’s attorney informing me Mr. Simpson would be filing a mechanics lien against the property unless I paid what he says. What if he said $50,000 or $100,000 in materials? The consumer is at the mercy of the contractor. I would keep this in mind if you are considering rolling the dice on Gary Simpson and Simpson Construction, LLC. I wish I could post pictures. Most of the house was in worse condition AFTER $94,000 of “work” completed. Thankfully, I have a couple of great friends who know how to do construction work to come over and correct the problems of the $400 an hour contractor. Unreal. When you look at pictures, remember: this is AFTER $94,000 paid!

Gary Simpson, owner, has a strong team of guys that can do it all. They repaired our bay window and made it look like it was brand new when other companies said the entire window would have to be replaced. We also had the ceiling in our dining room replaced after a leak from our upstairs bathroom was fixed by another company. The quality of work they did on our ceiling (and our window) was so good that you can't even tell it was repaired!!! Adam, Jeff, Bob and Greg were AWESOME!!! They were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They cleaned up after each day's work and always kept us in the know as to what they had done and what still needed to be finished. For any future home improvement projects, we will ONLY use Simpson Construction Services, LLC. THANK YOU guys for your OUTSTANDING work. We enjoyed working with you!

Contacted Gary to arrange for a time for him to come out and give us an estimate for our project. Met him at our home a few days later and explained what we would like done. Was impressed with his knowledge, demeanor, and emphasis on customer service. Looked forward to receiving his estimate. When we didn't hear anything back after about a week, e-mailed to ask when we might receive the estimate. Was promised we would get it "by the end of the week". It has now been about a month since that initial visit, and we never did receive an estimate. We can only surmise that our job is too small for them, or they are way too busy (which might be a good sign, showing that they are "in demand"). In any case, we've had to "move on". It was mostly disappointing because we'd heard such good things about Gary and his company, and had looked forward to working with him.

I live in a small condominium community.? There are six, two-story buildings consisting of four, four-over-four and two, one- over-one homes.? All upper level units have an outdoor balcony.? All units also have either an enclosed three or four-season room or a screened porch.? At that time, all buildings were approximately ten years old. In early summer of 2014, work began to replace rotted trim on some of the porches.? The homeowners employed Simpson Construction for this work. Removing the rotted trim revealed more extensive rot damage than was first thought, but not so serious as to cause immediate alarm.? Work resumed in the early summer of 2015.? Removal of additional sheathing exposed more and more rot damage, which included many structural support beams.? The damage to a number of homes was so severe as to cause alarm of potential collapse of balcony and/or porch. Simpson Construction completed structural and facade repairs in January, 2016. I?m retired and have managed a number of construction projects during my working years.? I was able to observe the daily progress of this repair work, was a very complex undertaking.? The removal and replacement of load-bearing beams without damage to concrete flooring of upper story porches and balconies is not for amateurs. By observation, I have come to appreciate and respect the professionalism of Gary Simpson and the men he has selected for his Simpson Construction team.? The entire team obviously understands ?ethics? and will not compromise the quality of their work.? I observed no ?shortcuts? taken in order to realize a few extra dollars.? Their efficiency was a pleasure to watch, and I observed no ?loafing? or wasted effort. ?It was clear that all team members were polite and respected our properties.? ?Mr. Simpson was on the site every day to assure that there would be no delay for lack of needed direction, materials or tools.? Because of Simpson Contraction, our community will never again be faced with this kind of intrusive water damage. ??The work was performed the way it should have been ten to twelve years ago. I don?t write many reviews.? I had to write this one to tell others of this trustworthy construction company.? Personally, if I have a future project, Simpson will do the work.? I can recommend them in complete confidence, without reservation.

All employees who came to our home displayed professionalism and performed quality work in their specialties. They are reliable, trustworthy, and respectful to your property. Gary was always in communication with us each step of the way. He documented each and every step by identifying what they were about to do and always considered our input. He also followed up after the project was complete to ensure we were fully satisfied and no additional issues had come up. The work inside and to the outside our home has made a impression with our entire neighborhood. I originally contacted Simpson Construction Services from a referral, and will recommend to anyone with an upcoming project.

Phil was able to take care of all our needs in an efficient and friendly fashion and was always on time. We are already planning jobs in our new house for Simpson to take care of! We were particularly pleased with how quickly Gary Simpson contacted us after our initial inquiry as our need was time sensitive.
