It went very smoothly. He was very efficient and very pleasant. He reviewed all the items with us in a very professional manner. He also made a few good suggestions.

The inspector showed up exactly on time and was very professional. He took the time to explain things thoroughly so I would fully understand the problems.

They were very professional and came out on time. They got the report to me promptly and helped make sure I got their report even though there was some trouble with my e-mail.

The inspector, Keith Fillipow, was recommended by our realtor. He arrived a few minutes late. Keith was extremely polite and informative. Inspection reports are so different than when we bought our home 15 years ago. I was absolutely amazed by the depth of the report. There are photos of the problems areas. Wow!

We contacted Security to do a home inspection on a home we were going to buy. They came out a did an inspection on the home and the man seemed very knowledgeable. 2 months later, we had a roof leak and when we started to get estimates from roofing companies, every single roofing company (3) noticed from ground level that the ridge vents were not installed properly. We reported this to Security Home Inspections, and they did not admit to any mistakes, did not offer a partial refund, did not offer to pay for part of the roofing repairs and just simply said it is not their responsibility because they did not get on the roof, which was written in their contract. But our case was this could be seen from ground level. We suggest you should not use security home inspections if you need a home inspected, especially if you would like your roof inspected, which I think is one of the most important things to be inspected.

Chuck was great to work with. He walked us through our new home and pointed out important info as we went along. The inspection for our 2600 sq. ft. home took right at three hours. We were there for the entire inspection and learned a LOT. It was an icy day and so he was unable to get on the roof however he returned the following business day to inspect. Plus, Chuck had some really fun stories from his experience.

Our inspector, Brett Partlow, showed-up on time and well prepared. He invited us to follow him through the home as he completed each stage of the home inspection. He explained what he was doing at each inspection point, and told us about concern areas and what should be done by the home builder to remedy each problem. We really appreciated the additional tips he provided - many of them will save us time and expense, and will help us maintain each of the home's systems properly. The final inspection report and results of the radon testing where promptly delivered in the time-frame promised and were complete and correct. Although Security Home Inspections was the highest priced inspection of the four companies we contacted for quotes, we would definitely use them again for future home inspections due to the expertise of our inspector and the overall quality of the home inspection.

Inspector proceeded to conduct inspection of the home. While in the basement, the inspector turned on the wet bar water faucet and proceeded to leave it UNATTENDED by conducting other inspection duties. Drain backed up and proceeded to flood basement bar area and carpet. Damage could have been substantially less if inspector observed draining of water and did not leave it UNATTENDED. In addition, inspector stated furnace needed to be cleaned and serviced, as he "allegedly" saw built-up of carbon deposits on the heat exchanger. The furnace was in fact serviced ONE WEEK before the inspection occurred. Overall terrible experience and would never recommend this company to my worst enemy. The inexperience/incompetency of the inspector might jeopardize the sale of the home. Further action will be required if that is the case.

They did a great job. It was an extremely thorough inspection. Everything was checked inside and out. Phil came back later at no charge to check the air conditioning as the weather was too cold on the initial inspection date. Being there with him was very helpful as he gave me a lot of information I would otherwise not have picked up. Phil went beyond just the necessary inspection and also gave me a comfort level on understanding my purchase.

Kenny Corlette was extremely professional and thorough. He has been an inspector for many years and knows the business. Would highly recommend this company, and Kenny in particular, without hesitation.

Our inspector was fantastic. He had 30+ years experience as either a builder or inspector and was very knowledgeable. Furthermore, he spent nearly 5 hours climbing through and inspecting every corner of the house. He also encouraged me to join him in order to get a better feeling for what I was potentially buying. We ended up buying the home and felt very confident that we knew the house as well as we could prior to making that decision, thanks almost entirely to our inspector.

John Burns completed a very thorough and detailed inspection on a home that we were planning to purchase. He gave several tips and hints and made us feel more comfortable with the home's current condition. He was professional, polite and answered all of our questions. We have since moved into the home and are very happy with the results from the inspection!

John did a very thorough job of inspecting the home that was 19 years old. He allowed us to video tape as much of the inspection as we wanted and was not bothered by all of our questions. He sat down with us at the end of the inspection and walked us through the report. We followed up with a couple of questions a few days later and he was very accommodating.

THE FIRST THING THAT THE INSPECTOR DID WAS TO START WATER RUNNING IN A BATH TUB TO EVALUATE THE SEPTIC SYSTEM. WHEN THE INTERIOR INSP. WAS COMPLETE, THE INSPECTOR INSPECTED THE CRAWL SPACE AND NOTED STANDING WATER, AND THAT SEVERAL AREAS WERE NOT VISIBLE AND OR ACCESSIBLE AT THE TIME OF INSPECTION. A SUBSEQUENT INSPECTION BY A PLUMBER FOUND THAT BOTH BATH TUB DRAINS WERE DRAINING DIRECTLY IN TO THE CRAWL SPACE. (CONTRADICTING TARAK'S REPORT THAT ALL PLUMBING FIXTURES APPEAR TO DISCHARGE INTO SEPTIC) THE BROKEN DRAIN EXACERBATED AN ALREADY WET CONDITION AND DID NOT YIELD A PROPER SEPTIC SYSTEM TEST. WE ENTERED IN TO A CONTRACT TO SELL THE HOUSE AND THE BUYERS' INSPECTOR FOUND STRUCTURAL DAMAGE AND A WOOD EATING FUNGUS IN THE CRAWL SPACE. GIVEN THAT THE BUYERS' INSPECTOR WAS ABLE TO FIND THE STRUCTURAL ISSUES, I HAVE TO ASSUME THAT TARAK CLAIMED INACCESSIBLE BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT TO GET WET. SHI HAS YET TO PROVIDE RESULTS OF THE WATER TEST. SHI ALSO DENIES ANY RESPONSIBILITY.

They did a fantastic job! I would hire them again in a second.

Had a home inspection unfortunately Security Home Inspections failed to recognize that the windows and siding was rotting. The sub-floor in the living room and master bedroom had to be replaced. I think that when you pay for a professional inspection you expect expensive issues will be found.

Inspection was performed by Brett Partlow. He's a nice guy and very knowledgeable about home maintenance (he gave me advice on servicing my gas furnace), but sometimes he was too chatty. He took lots of digital pictures which aided in the final report. Inspection report was fairly thorough with all concerns put clearly in writing, which helped with negotiations. However, a large structural issue had to be pointed out to the inspector, who in the end recommended an engineer. Not sure how something that big could be missed. And I believe my final price was higher than what was given as an estimate.

Kenny Corlette was already at the house when we arrived. He had set out the radon test days earlier and only had to retrieve it. He seemed very through and was very patient with me. He pointed out good things, items that would need attention, how the heat pump and several things worked that we would not have figured out otherwise. He showed us digital pictures of what he was finding in the crawl space and attic etc. We even found out the fireplace was tied into the duct system to aid in heating the home. I was more than happy with the entire process. The only question was were the finger system was located. It was not apparent at the time of the inspection and the seller thought it was further west of where we thought it was.

Excellent job. Spent four hours in house. Got up on roof. Identified two natural gas leaks.

They performed a home inspection that we took on good faith to help us with purchasing our house. They have missed so many things! Including MASSIVE work to the tune of $5k to our crawl space. They simply said that the insulation was falling, it's not. Instead the entire drainage system needs to be reworked. I do not see how they can miss something so large, and now I have no recourse?! They also missed problems with our roof. I am sick to death with this and don't think I have any options but I wanted to at least try Angie's.

I called several places and it seems like they have people on staff with the most experience and credentials. Bret Partlow was my inspector, he was very thorough and easy to work with. He provided a very detailed inspection report. He even crawled into the crawl space, the attic and left no space uncovered. He was great.

The inspector was very thorough and made specific recommendations for mold remediation.

The inspector was on time, very professional and thorough. The work took him over five hours. His report was delivered by email in about 24 hours, complete with photographs. The radon results were delivered within 24 hours of test completion. The test finished on Friday, results on Saturday. The job was above satisfactory and we will absolutely use them for the inspection of our new construction. Also note that we changed our appointment 3 TIMES due to schedule conflicts and the staff was tremendously accommodating. They were clearly committed to customer service.

Biggest isn't always best. I called Security based on a great experience with them in 1989. Times have changed. Compared to a pre-sale inspection of another home where we used another firm, this inspection was shallow, cursory and incomplete. We know that they won't find all flaws in a home, but when our painter noticed a stained kitchen ceiling from a leaking bathtub above, we had concerns. The inspector spend more time telling stories about odd clients and their homes he had inspected, than providing useful cautions and advise and probing for significant deficiencies in our home. Again, comparing to the other vendor's highly detailed report accompanied by dozens of digital photos, for less than half the money, we are extremely disappointed.
