I WILL PROBABLY NOT CALL VINE and BRANCH IN THE FUTURE DUE TO THE DISCONNECT BETWEEN THEIR OFFICE STAFF AND SCHEDULING, AS WELL AS THE LACK OF RESPONSE BY PHONE FROM SCHEDULING. I THEREFORE GIVE THEM A D- FOR SCHEDULING AND HAVE MIXED IMPRESSIONS OF WORK, SINCE THE SPRAYING FOR WEB WORMS WAS TOO LATE. THE PRUNING WAS VERY WELL DONE.
Description of Work: IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT I SAID THE SPRAYING OF MY EVERGREENS FOR WEB WORMS WAS URGENT, IT WAS A WEEK BEFORE THEY CAME TO SPRAY AND THE WORMS HAD ALREADY FORMED THEIR COCOONS (THERE IS A BETTER NAME FOR THIS DORMANT STAGE) SO I HAD TO PULL OFF AT LEAST 200 OF THEM OR I COULD HAVE AN EVEN WORSE PROBLEM NEXT YEAR. I FOUND THIS SERVICE UNSATISFACTORY. AT THE TIME I SCHEDULED THE SPRAYING SERVICE, I HAD ALSO REQUESTED EXTENSIVE PRUNING, BUT APPARENTLY MY NAME HAD FALLEN OFF THEIR RADAR SCREEN. THEY WERE VERY APOLOGETIC WHEN I CALLED ABOUT IT AND I DECIDED TO GO AHEAD WITH THE WORK. I WAS ABOUT TO CANCEL THIS WHEN THEY FINALLY CAME TO DO AN ESTIMATE FOR THE WORK. THAT WAS IN MID AUGUST AND IT WAS ONLY YESTERDAY THAT THEY FINALLY CAME. THE WORK THIS TIME WAS WELL DONE AND THE WORKMEN WERE VERY PLEASANT AND WORKED EFFICIENTLY.

I HAD CALLED THEM TO ARRANGE FOR THEM TO REMOVE THE TREE AND STUMP. THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT, WITHOUT NOTICE, TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. AFTER THAT, I TOLD THEM THAT WE WANTED TO BE HOME WHEN THE WORK WAS DONE. THEY AGREED TO CALL US THE DAY BEFORE THEY CAME TO DO THE WORK, BUT WERE RELUCTANT TO DO SO. THEY DID CALL THE DAY BEFORE THEY WERE TO CUT THE TREE. THEY REMOVE THE STUMP ANOTHER DAY, BECAUSE THE YARD HAS TO BE UTILITY MARKED. WE CALLED TWICE TO TELL THEM NOT TO COME TILL WE CALL, AND THAT WILL BE IN EARLY AUGUST. WE CAME BACK FROM VACATION, AND THEY HAD REMOVED THE STUMP, WITHOUT THE YARD BEING MARKED FOR UTILITIES, AND WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION.
