Robert Stevens Roofing

I called and left a message on Roberts voicemail. He returned my call within a day and left me a message stating that he was only doing full-roofing replacement jobs right now. What he said was fine, of course, but he could have added an "I'm sorry but we." or a "Thanks for calling." At least he called me back, though. A few of the companies that I called didn't even make that courtesy.

I called to request an estimate for hail damage. They were timely in their response and provided an estimate for repairs. I will keep them in mind for future projects.

When the men arrived it was all business. Very quick removal and replacement, excellent craftsmanship. Attention to detail included flashing around chimney that matched color of roof unlike many cases where white or aluminum colored flashing is applied. They cleaned up well and searched for nails with magnet. The owner took time to describe how some parts of the work would be done and very responsive.

They came out right away and gave an estimate. They were very professional and we will be using them.

Excellent! Very responsive to calls and emails. Started project earlier than projected date. Answered all questions/concerns quickly. Roof and gutters look great and serve their purposes.

Got several roofing companies from the list. Got estimates from the companies. Stevens was the most competitive. Was easy to communicate with Stevens too. He is very responsive to e-mail. Submitted his first bid by e-mail and his second, when I wanted to change the original work specification, also. He gave me a schedule for when the work would be done and met it. The roofers were polite, worked hard and the job was done in about in a day and a half. They made a good offer to keep debris out of shrubs. While most of them spoke Spanish, there was at least one (the foreman) who spoke good English. After the work, I Inspected it and had a concern. I called Rob and left a message on his answer machine late on a Friday. Monday afternoon he showed up with four people and looked at my roof. He addressed my concern, volunteered that something was wrong and they would fix it, which they did. They also looked at other aspects of the roof and left me feeling good about the work.

They were very responsive and did a good job. Because of the rain there was a leak in the roof, but they came right out and fixed it. The roof looks great. He also will show how the shingles look on other roofs before you decide which ones that you want.

Owner of company and project manager were very responsive. Time to schedule was delayed due to substantial hail damage in the area, 8/10 weeks from when selected to do the work. Our roof is very steep and has a number of changes in pitch and bump outs. They did an excellent job with a difficult project. They could have improved in their clean up of the site on a daily basis and following completion of project, there were a number of nails left in the yard at the end and pop cans in the evenings. Overall very satisfied with workmanship.

Worked out extremely well. Robert was nice, responsive, accessible, easy to deal with. Worked on a timely basis, and did a solid job overall. The price was excellent, my insurance company said I got a great deal.

They arrived on time and their estimate was pretty close to the others I had received.

Called and left message to schedule time to meet to get quote. Company never called back and just dropped a quote in the mail.

Company answering machine indicated they are were only accepting work in the Broad Ripple Area.

They didn't even answer. Their voicemail was not working, and they would not return my call.

This was a complicated roofing job with a number of gables and valleys and an upgrade to ridge vents and drip edge vents for balance ventilation. The insurance adjuster was dragging his heels about authorizing full payment, so we had to ask Rob to redo his quote by line item. The whole process required lots of phone calls and numerous emails back and forth. Rob was very patient with the additional information we requested and the numerous questions we had about solving our lack of ventilation problem. Despite delays caused by our adjuster and our vacation, he got to our roof quicker than expected and finished it promptly. Clean up was impeccable each night. Rob was also good about explaining what we might not like about the look of our new upgrades. The crew and crew chief were hardworking and considerate of our comings and goings in and out during their work. They responded quickly to problems as the work progressed. All materials used were a notch above original materials.

They wouldn't even take my call. They were only accepting jobs in Butler-Tarkington, Fishers, Meridian Kessler, and Butler. Where the money is I suppose!

They replaced our roof, the first time, in the summer of 2005. After the hail storms in the spring of 2006, I called Rob for his opinion and assessment of our roof. His findings aligned with what our insurance company determined. Rob provided a detailed estimate and timeframe of when the work could be completed. Once we approved the estimate the work was finished as promised. His crew was prompt, polite and very meticulous on the clean up. It is obvious that we would, and did, use this company again.

Good experience overall. Rob is very professional and efficient. He has great follow up--much better than the other companies I called (I called about 4 other companies). He's an honest guy and a pleasure to work with. He has a team of hard workers who finished the roof in a day and a half! He was also much less expensive than the others. We only had one mishap, where the workers accidentally threw out the decorative box pieces on our gutters, but Rob quickly resolved it by buying us new ones at his expense and putting them back on the gutters.

Mr. Stevens was quite accommodating in providing us shingle samples and alternate pricing for different options. The work was done in a couple of days. Any questions or concerns we had regarding the work was answered promptly. Their prices were on par with other roofing companies we received estimates from. We did find several old nails on the driveway that washed off the roof after a heavy rain. The roof was done in 9/05 and needs to be replaced again due to hail damage. We will most likely be hiring them again to do the work.

We didn't call for estimates right away like we should have but ended up waiting until we had an emergency! I had contacted Rob in early June to request an estimate, and he came out within the week to look at our house and was able to send me the estimate via e-mail. I had plenty of questions, and Rob was extremely patient and answered them all for me very quickly. At this time, he was about 6 weeks out for scheduling, and that was fine with me. In the meantime, we had a small leak at the flashing on the chimney and Rob caulked it for us when he did the estimate. Unfortunately, we had some pretty heavy rains that following weekend and ended up with a very big leak in our attic and water coming down our living room wall. I e-mailed Rob Sunday evening, and he called me Monday morning and was able to schedule us for that Sat. Rob & his crew are exceptional and deserve recognition for going above and beyond to help us. The roofs look great! I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I was very impressed with Rob's customer service. He maintained phone contact with me to schedule an estimate for a re-roof and tear-off. I received the estimate in two days via email and it was very thorough and explained all the work to be performed. I did not choose Robert Stevens, simply due to the fact that I needed additional work done and used a general contractor instead.

I have worked with them before and I have been really disappointed this time around in a few categories.The largest concern I have is that the entire crew had no english speaking employees on sight the entire time.This led to some problems.Their workmanship in a few areas were very good and in a few areas were disappointing, particularly in the area where a roof joins the siding of the house I would have to rate them as being very sloppy.Additionally there were parts of the house where they damaged it. Window sills had been damaged from falling debris. I am going to have to replace a couple of window sills.I have vinyl siding and that was ripped on part of the house, which will need to be replaced.They did not protect any of the vegetation around the house. I have some bushes that are damaged, some that are just smashed to the ground.Their clean up was poor.They used only 2 tarps and there was debris left and I have picked up 100 nails.If they had used more tarps it would have beengood

Voicemail message informed callers that they were out doing estimates in particular Indy neighborhoods (mine one not one of them). I left a message anyway to see if they were servicing other areas at all (I honestly didn't expect to hear from them). I received a call back WITHIN THE HOUR from Robert Stevens himself with the bad news that they were swamped. But they did call back!

The entire experience of replacing our roof could not have been better. Rob responded immediately to make temporary repairs to our roof after a hail storm had damaged it. His bid was the best and cheapest of the four bids we received for the subsequent work. After we selected him, he worked with us on picking the right type and color of shingles. He also made sure that we had adequate roof ventilation and drip edging. The workers were fast and expert and did a fantastic job. They cleaned up after themselves perfectly. Rob personally inspected the roof afterwards and made sure that punch list items were taken care of. I'd recommend him to others with confidence.

Responded quickly with estimate (via email). Because, of the weather, completed our job on the weekend. Robert's crew is polite and very hard working....we were very impressed. We are pleased with the quality of work.
