Robert Stevens Roofing

Very prompt in responding to my call for estimate. Once we decided to use them, we were scheduled in about 2 weeks. The work was completed in one day! We had a new concrete driveway installed about a year ago, and when the shingles were dropped off, there were lots of tire marks on the driveway from the forklift. This was rapidly taken care of by Steve and they contracted someone to come out and powerwash the driveway, and now it looks great! The crew was respectful of our property and did an excellent job cleaning up. Great work!

They came out to replace our roof within a week or two. A large crew of roofers had it done in one day. Cleanup was excellent. The gutters were done a few days later by a 2 man crew, also in one day with excellent cleanup. Roof, gutters, downspouts all look excellent. Dan Jansen was our contact and moved the process along in a timely manner. The price was fair. He is easy to reach if you have questions.

This company did an excellent job much faster. Dan gave us the estimate, installed the gutter covers and inspected the entire job. I felt very comfortable with these people.

They worked easily with my insurance company. They were tidy, prompt and did what they said they were going to do. They exceeded my expectations and went over my yard twice to make sure that there were NO nails in the yard. They also re-roofed my father's yard and did a good job (and he's picky)! They even had the lowest bid.

This company gave us the lowest price estimate of the 4 we obtained. We did not choose this company because their proposal lacked the detail that others provided. The representative was also very brief with answers to questions. In contrast, two other companies provided detailed estimates and thorough answers to questions, which inspired much more confidence.

We felt they did an outstanding job. The workers were polite, friendly and hardworking. They have put in a long day and they did a good job cleaning up.

I chose another company (even though the cost was more) for a couple reasons, but primarily because I didn't feel like the gentleman didn't bother to really go through the why and wherefore of things he put on the estimate. When I asked for a list of addresses of houses to go looking at where they'd done the work, he said he would email. He never did, but he called to ask if I'd made a decision and I asked again. He told me to go look at Angie's List to see their reputation. (I had told them from the start I'd gotten their name from Angie's List). I already knew what Angie's List said. I wanted to see their work.

It was a pleasure to see a company willing to loose business for what is right. We will use them in one or two years when a roof may really be needed. In the process of inspecting the roof, Mr. Jansen indicated that we needed to have our chimneys caulked for leaks. He went on the roof again to do this for us gratis despite our offer for payment. Some companies are just amazing. This is one.

A lot of the decking needed to be replaced. Some of the decking replacement was a matter of judgment and choice, and I was permitted to make the choices. The original estimate was for $3830 plus $2 per linear foot to replace the decking. One might think that $2 per linear foot is high. However, in observing the amount of time involved in selectively replacing decking, I am convinced that $2 per linear foot is very reasonable. Also, the lumber that they used was of good quality and contained no large knots. I think this is an important detail since the old decking had knots almost the width of the decking boards and these had dried out and fallen out through the years. There was some language barrier in communicating with the Hispanic workers. However, the Hispanics did very good work, and Bob and Dan did come by several times to check on the job.

Received 5 quotes (all from Angie). This company was not the cheapest but did come down in price to match lowest offer. Called every 2-3 days (only one to call with such frequency, at times I thought it was to aggressive). At signing, no shingle samples were brought in to show me. They arrived on time on day specified. They did however placed drinks on my son's car when they arrived (he had to leave so he placed drinks on ground) but overall work seemed to be fine. Had to call the next day to ask them to remove trailer because it was blocking the garage door even tho work was 95% completed in one day. Before job was completely done, sales person came by to get check BUT they did not cash it for 3-4 days afterwards. Thought I would get a personal inspection and call about the work done but did not, I had to ask. Owner himself came buy to look at the house after I asked. Also still waiting for a 30 year certificate from shingle manufacturer as a selling point in case I sell the house.

Outstanding job! Excellent workmanship, and excellent clean-up after the job. Also, Dan Jansen, the customer interface/estimator was excellent to work with as he coordinated all the interface with us and the insurance company, too. I'd highly recommend Robert D. Stevens Roofing for any roofing job.

Called and left message requesting estimate on roof repair, call returned by Dan Jansen and set up meeting for Monday, Mar 19. Dan came out Monday and gave an estimate. Dan returned on Thursday, Mar 22 and we finalized work to be done. Work started next Monday, Mar 26 and completed that week. Overall pleased with process and work done.

Dan returned my phone call within 24 hours. He provided me with an estimate on his first visit. I went with another contractor for the job only because I received a better warranty.

All work completed on time (1 day) and at agreed upon price. No problems.

Dan kept in contact with me. He scheduled the job & showed up on time. He was finished in 1 day. He did a great clean-up & a wonderful job. Highly recommend. Well-priced.

Steve Lasee, as well as all of the other Steven's employees and subs, were punctual, professional, extremely pleasant, and went out of their way to make sure that I was extremely happy with the installation. They arrived when they said they would and finished the entire job in one day. The person doing the gutter guards worked closely with the roofers to insure the best possible installation. All of my questions were answered politely and with a smile. It was obvious that every one knew what their job was. The entire experience was fun to watch since they seemed to enjoy their job and working together. Steve returned to the house many times during the day to insure that everything was going as it should be. We are extremely pleased with the completed work. They cleaned up all around the house and drive before leaving, making sure that I was happy. It is obvious to me during the entire process that it was very important that the customer was happy from beginning to completion.

Payment for this job involved a third party, which got kind of confusing. They were very patient while this got all sorted. They were very professional and courteous and we are very pleased with the job.

They did a very nice job. They showed up on time and didn't take an incredibly long. They had a nice big crew.

We were extremely happy with the work of Stevens Roofing. The men who came to our house worked so hard and were very conscientious and considerate. They often worked until way after dark. Our roof looks beautiful and was finished in a timely manner. We couldn't be happier with this company and gladly recommend them to anyone needing roof repairs!

I called to have them come out to give an estimate. The sales person, Dan Jansen, called me back right away and came out within three days. He gave me a detailed estimate of the work and some extras that I wanted. We looked it over and called and said we would like for them to do the roof. Dan came back two days later to show us some roof shingles and then within a week and a half they came out to put the new roof on. The guys did a great job and they cleaned up and it was spotless. I would use them again!!!!!

I was very satisfied with the process. The contractor was professional, but friendly, and paid attention to details. I would have them do work for me again.

Bob Stevens was so easy to talk with, very pleasant firm. He was reliable and professional as were his employees. The work was completed in an efficient manner and on time. We were very impressed with Bob and would suggest to our family and friends to use him.

I will not use this company in the future. As a result of not returning my call.

I appreciated the professionalism with the estimate given and it met my insurance claim. He identified in the quote what needed to be done. I feel he was intent on not just doing what needed to be done but also what provided the better quality at a minimal cost. They kept in contact with me. They weren't taking new people but I gave them my name in case they had time to work me in. They gave me a date and then I called the week before, they told me it would be a couple of weeks and that was fine with me. I am pleased with the job they did. They cleaned up when they were complete and they returned my phone calls. I think their price was good.

Returned phone calls and emails promptly; had a choice of roof samples delivered twice to meet the customers demands for the best choice available; worked out schedule to accommodate removal of Leaf Guard gutters by Leaf Guard to avoid voiding warranty before roof could be installed; began work on promised day (Saturday) and completed job on Sunday even though they don't usually work Sundays; fairly good clean-up; promptly fixed minor problem that surfaced after payment was made.
