Robert Stevens Roofing

I thought it went well. We were trying to get it done before winter and the roofer was getting ready to leave on vacation, so this would be his last job of the winter. It took about three days to do it.

Very good experience.. They came when expected, worked through problems and were very good about cleaning up. Bill was a little less than estimate.

They did a great job we research them a couple of times. They did a fantastic job. The pricing was moderate to what we expected to pay. I would use them again.

It went fairly smoothly. We did have to call them to come back on a couple of occasions because of leaks, which they came back and resolve. They cleaned up the mess pretty well. It did kind of bother me that no one on the crew spoke English that well. It was difficult to communicate with me. There were places on the roof that looked rippled, but they assured us that once the temperature warmed up that they would smooth out and they did.

They were prompt and punctual. They did the work in a timely fashion. They were polite and friendly. They seemed professional. They did a very good job cleaning up.

I had a wonderful experience. As a woman, not knowing much about roofs, he was very nice to deal with, wasn't condescending, and always answered all of questions honestly and nicely. The new roof looks great, the clean-up was impeccable and they were very courteous in my home. I would definitely recommend them anyone and i have already set up an appointment for my grandmother to have the same work done!

They were excellent. They were able to get there ahead of schedule and they got the roof done in one day. They left the work site very clean. I have recommended and will highly recommend them to others.

He was easy to get a hold of. A good communicator. The work was top notch professional quality. They cleaned up at the end of each day. Then he made sure that we were satisfied with the work before payment was received.

Well I found out I was having problems with it the year before so I called and their supervisor came out and told me he would get back with me if he could not do the work because of the frost. I heard from them 1 year later. Called back and found out he was not long with company. In the process of this I had another inspector come out and look at the roof. And got a report that showed that I had a sever flashing problems and some of the roof was not layed out right. I looked at my contract and it said that the roof was to be done to standers and that all flashing was to be replaced. I found out that my flashing was not replaced, and the flashing that was there did not match up to the shingles was there. How this came about is I was having a leak around some of the flashing. And my cedar siding below as well as the over hang where my entry way it was being destroyed. They did a poor job of fixing the problem Bob Bowerly they did not complete the work in a professional matter there was a lack of communication between them and the worker. As a result I had to do a painting because of this. Bob Steaves came back out and did a little bit of the work himself and sub contracted some of the trim work I had to redo. Right now I am replacing rotted board because of the improper flashing. The flashing stopped short of the roof line, and that is where the water was getting in. I am having to do this at my own expense. And I am not happy about it. Bob steaves did pay for the other company to instual some trim board and he is claiming that there was a trim board underneith that was causeing the problem, but when we pulled the flashing and that is where the water was acoming from. More recently a company came out and showed me where some of the shigles that were replace were only nailed once. and my ice and water shild stops at the roof ling and that should go a little further. Crew property said that the flashing looks decent.

I requested quotes from the top 3 Angie's List roofing companies. The Robert D Stevens Roofing company responded the next morning and that afternoon they provided me with an estimate. I was in the middle of relocation to Dallas, TX with my company and the completion of the roof so we could sell our home was critical. I explained our situation to Robert and in a few days we had a crew at our home working away. In a little over a day's time the new roof was installed and the owner himself was there making sure the work was to our satisfaction. They did an exceptional job installing the three dimensional shingle, which immensely improved the curb appeal of our home. We put our home on the market the day after the roof was completed, 13 days our home sold. The buyers even commented on how wonderful the roof looked. If you want a company that pays attention to detail and does exactly what they promise then you need to call the Robert D Stevens Roofing Company.

Rob came on time to give me an estimate. Within two days, he faxed me a detailed estimate explaining everything completely. We scheduled a date for work to begin and because of rain, started one day later than planned. He called the morning of the job to let me know the crew was on the way. He had a very hard working crew that started about 8:30 a.m. and didn't quit until they were done around 3:00 p.m. They did a great clean-up job in addition to doing an excellent job on the roof.

The installation of the new roof was fine, the workers showed up when he said they would and the job was completed on time and on budget. A month or so after the work was done, we had some water leaking around a skylight. Robert promptly came out and fixed the problem with caulk and sealant, which is what we expected any reputable company to do. However, our other skylight started leaking last week, a full year and a half after the new roof was installed. We had never had any issues with it before. Robert came out and caulked and sealed that one as well, FREE of charge. We fully expected to pay for the repair, but he would not accept payment. Robert stands behind his work. We would definitely hire him again.

The project went well. Mr. Stevens had reduced the price $300.00 to account for the fact he discovered the chimney flashing could be repaired rather than completely replaced. That was very honest of him since I wouldn't have known better otherwise. The workers cleaned up everything after-wards. There were no problems. I selected the company from Philadelphia but had someone on site who said I couldn't have selected better if I had been right there.

They were great and fantastic. They did some needed follow up work as well.

I got five estimates for the job and liked them the best based on price, reputation, and professionalism. They returned calls and answered questions promptly, but pushed a little hard to accept the bid. Work was scheduled approximately one month after accepting their bid. I then did not hear a word from them until they showed up one morning. I was supposed to be notified one week before the work and I would have liked some lead time to prepare. Overall the work was well done, as it has been 11 months with no problems. There was a mix up with the color of flashing installed, but it worked out to be a better choice. There was some carelessness involved in a couple details(old flashing left on garage, some of the flashing was bent when the gutters were installed, but they came back and fixed them the next day. Cleaned up well, but I had to pick up a LOT of nails after they left. I would use them again, but definitely get additional estimates and consider others.

He did an excellent job. I would give him an A+. Because of the pitch of our house, he had to come back a couple of times to make adjustments. He came on his own one time. We were extremely pleased. He ended up having to put some copper up there because of that spot.

We had to have some decking replaced and needed more roofing The price did not change! We had a minor leak that was fixed the next day. Very happy!

Robert Stevens replaced our roofing 2 years ago in 2005. However our roof was damaged by the spring 2006 hail storm. Our insurance company agreed that we had hail damage to our roof and gave us approx. $3000 for repairs. When we contacted Robert Stevens Roofing to give an estimate for the repairs, they said that there was more hail damage to our house and asked if they wanted us to work with our homeowners insurance company. We agreed to this and Stevens Roofing got the insurance company to come to our house for another estimate of the damage. The result was that the insurance company paid another $13,000 for additional hail damage (roof, siding and some interior plaster damage due to water leak) and this will pay for new roof, new siding and painting. All in all, Robert Stevens really went to bat for us with our homeowners insurance. They did a nice job on the replacement roof and cleaned up thoroughly after the job.

The work was fast, timely, and excellent.

Mr. Stevens is very good at taking care of problems that have arisen. The company is clean and did a good job. Mr. Stevens came three times a day to check on the crew, he was always very pleasant. The roof looks good and time will tell how it holds up.

They did a good job and we would use them again.

The price was $1200 more than any body else.

The estimator Dan Jenson, was so patient in working with me in selecting just the right color. He went so far as to call me from another job, and offered to let me come by and see the color on another home, that I was interested in. I couldn't believe how quickly they did the work and they didn't leave any mess. The workers were very polite and personable. I appreciated the companies honesty and integrity. I would use them again and have recommended them.
