Robert Stevens Roofing

Rob was great to work with. We got bids from 3 companies and his price was the best by far. At the time, Lowe's was running a sale on shingles that his supplier had to match. This combined with scheduling early in the work season got us a great deal. Rob's crew was on site early in the morning and completed the entire project in one day. The best thing was their attention to detail. Flashing work around 2 chimneys was done with precision, trash and debris was all hauled away, and I several months later I haven't found a single nail in my driveway or yard.

He was outstanding. Not only was he prompt and punctual, he was so easy to deal with. He didn't ask for any money up front. He went above and beyond, and he didn't even charge for the tuck pointing of the chimney. When I asked for additional work, he readily completed the work. He did a beautiful job on the roof.

They showed up promptly. They worked a day and a half and had everything done. They did three to four more things that other roofers in which I had received estimates on were going to do but charged $800 cheaper. There was no mess left behind; hauled everything away after the job was done. The roof looks good; we've gotten compliments on how nice of a job they did.

It was fixed to our satisfaction. It has rained heavily after they fixed it and everything was bone dry.

Excellent service. In the process of re-roofing, they had to replace something on the roof. And in the process, I lost electricity to part of the home due to their men cutting a wire. When I brought that to Mr. Steven's attention, he immediately called Mr. Quick electric who came out and repaired the damaged wire. He assumed responsibility and paid for that service. He checked in on the job regularly and I was very, very pleased with the work and his service.

I was impressed with the whole process. The crew arrived at 7:30 a.m. and immediately started to work and worked through until 8:45 that night with only one short break around 3:00.. Rob Stevens, the owner, stopped by periodically through the day to see how things were progressing.. They had hoped to get everything done in one day, but because of the extensive work that needed to be done, they had to return on Friday. On Friday, they worked from about 8:30 until 12:30 to finish up. The crew was very friendly and considerate of my plants and the deck in the rear. They removed all the furniture and covered the deck with a tartp when they were removing the old roof. They also took care not to damage any plants near the house and upon completion took a large magnet through the yard to be sure that all nails were picked up. The head of the crew did most of the wood replacement and did an excellent job in getting it right. This is one of the best jobs I've had from a referral from Angie's List. I could tell that Rob wanted to do things right so that he would have a satisfied customer. After receiving 3 other quotes, I'm glad I went with this company. It also turns out he was the least expensive.

Everything went great. An excellent job was done. There was great communication. We knew exactly when the crew was going to work. I would highly recommend Rob Stevens. He made sure we were pleased. Rob and the crew were very professional.

He arrived when he said he would. He gave us a reminder call ahead of time. He was very clear in explaining what the problems were.We thought their was a problem with our roof. He came out and told us that we actually had a problem with the chimney and he recommended we get a mason to look at it. We have an attached porch that we thought needed to be resealed. He looked at it and told us we had a few more years in it and did not need that expense right now. I was really impressed with his honesty. He pointed out a more urgent problem, our chimney

He was very informative and honest. If we ever need a new shingle roof, we would definitely consider Stevens roofing.

It was fabulous. He came on a Saturday and there were about 15 guys on the roof. By Sunday it was completely done but they still came back on Monday to clean up the yard. In the contract there was a provision that if he had to replace the bottom layer it would be extra but he didn't charge us extra. He only charged for the materials and not the labor.

His service was really good. They came when they said and cleaned up. They just did really a good job.

After obtaining three estimates from roofing companies, we decided on hiring Robert Stevens based upon his reputation on Angie's List and on his very thorough and professional written bid. On the date that the work was to begin, Robert and his foreman (Eric) and a very large crew arrived on time and the work commenced immediately. Robert personally introduced us to Eric who was present for the entire job. Robert was also present frequently throughout both days. Both Eric and Robert are very competent and customer oriented. The crew was very polite, efficient and hard working. While replacing the wood decking and rafter over the sunroom, Robert noticed that there was insufficient insulation and no spacers over the sunroom. He corrected the problem by installing appropriate insulation and spacers to create an air channel. As a result, it has been significantly warmer and more comfortable in our sunroom this winter. They completed about 80 percent of the job on the first day with a very large crew and finished the remaining 20 percent on day two with a smaller crew. The remaining debris was hauled away on the second day. While we have been very satisfied with our experiences hiring Angie's List contractors, Robert Stevens Roofing Company has set a new standard of excellence. We are very satisfied with the professionalism of Robert Stevens Roofing and his commitment to our satisfaction with the work performed.

Robert climbed on the roof, examined and told us that the roof was obviously good for another 5 years. he was honest and full of integrity - and could have taken advantage of our fears or the bad advice of the insurance adjuster. We will be calling him back to replace our roof in 5 years.

The owner was wonderful but the salesperson was horrible. I had to fire the salesperson. The company has done what it promised to do but the salesperson messed up a couple of times. He made financial amends and other things. The owner listened to my problem and took care of it.

Their pricing was reasonable. They did what they said they would. They took care of the issues and after the work, they had us inspect it. We had a few minor issues and they resolved them to our satisfaction. We would not hesitate to use them again.

We found their name on the list of one of the consumer review companies. We also found out that they had done work for our neighbor. We were totally satisfied with them. They did exactly what they promised that they would do. The price quoted by them was competitive, as we had got several estimates from other companies as well. They were excellent. They cleaned up after themselves and we didn?t have any problems with them at all. They put on a new roof for a friend of ours as well. We have recommended them to others and we will use their services again, if needed.

The men came on time. If they were going to be delayed, I was notified. They did a good job of cleaning up after the job was finished. They had a movable dumping container that they removed daily so that I could get my car into the garage.

We had some leaks in the house and he was willing to out ice and water shield on the new part of the roof where the leak started. He also upgraded at what grade we wanted instead of going with his suggestion. He seemed out of everyone we spoke to, that he had more knowledge of what he was doing. I felt more confident with his expertise of what needed to be done and that it would be done correctly the first time around. I would use this company again in the future.

They did a real good job. Bob Stevens came out to make sure everything was going ok. They checked in with us and we were happy with them.

We had experienced a couple small leaks during recent heavy rainstorms (but little if any hail damage in our immediate neighborhood), and were well aware our almost 20-year-old economy-class three-tab shingle roof needed to be replaced, so we contacted Robert D Stevens and one other firm for estimates. Mr. Stevens arrived at the promised time, performed a thorough examination and measurement of the existing roofing system, and demonstrated considerable knowledge, experience (and patience) in answering all our questions. His written estimate was the more detailed of the two we received, and the quote of $7,200 plus $30 per decking sheet replaced (above the two sheets included in the estimate) was very reasonable. However, we ultimately decided to go with the other roofing firm due primarily to ready availability of their Class-4 impact-resistant product line and their experience in installing that system. (But we did use the guttering contractor Mr. Stevens recommended.)

The claims representative came to my house two days after I left a message at the office. He explained that they would do the job for what the insurance would cover. He also explained that he would take care of all the needed correspondence. He did an inspection of the roof. Two days later, we signed a contract and I choose the roofing. Within 2 or 3 weeks the roof was replaced in one day. A couple of weeks later the guttering was replaced.

Everything was great. It was a very small repair and I new I was headed for a minimum charge. In the end you have to appreciate Robert taking the time to repair my roof in such a timely fashion. I had been told it would be 2 to 3 weeks from other roofing companies. It means a lot when a company takes the time to help you out at little to no profit.

I had roof installed Aug 3 2009. They did an excellent job. Rob Stevens is easy to work with. He is on the job when he says he?s going to be. You cannot go wrong with this company. He has a very good crew that really cares what kind of a job they do.

I have yet to see him or hear back from him. If he is too busy he could have told me.

Good communication, prompt estimate, good scheduling despite rainy season, excellent work. We had only one layer of shingles on existing roof, so tear-off was not done. Very happy with all of the work.
