Rickleff Sons & Daughters Painting

We have used Steve and his crew for several project's and we always have been pleased with the results. Their professionalism and quality of work is exemplary. In the past we have used them for painting the master bedroom, the family room, and the exterior brick. Obviously they were first choice for this project. They were professional as usual. They were on time and completed this project in a timely manner and the results were as we expected. A first class quality job.

Andrew was assigned to my Big Deal job. Arrived 10 minutes early, surveyed the tasks identified earlier by owner Steve Rickleff and started working immediately. He did a great job. A real perfectionist who made sure the finished product delivered a 'new' appearance. The result was definitely not something I could have done myself. Owner Rickleff called later to check in and make sure I was 100% pleased. Great execution and follow-through. I highly recommend this service!

The overall experience was above and beyound our expectations. The dos were: detailed estimate, excellent communication, no surprieses, high quality paint job, quality painting crew, quality paint, willingness to work with several types of paint, a crew that left our house with the ability to function at the end of each day, minimal disruption to our home and our cat, responded to our in a positive manner to our concern for tight edging at the ceiling where it meets the wall, responed positively to our concerns, moved and replaced all furniture and left the floors in the same conditon at the end as the beginning. We can think of no don'ts.

He is professional, very capable, courteous. He was always on time and and he carried out my instructions to a T with out me having to repeatedly ask him or remind him of the other tasks associated with the job. He finished the job before the holidays at an excellent price.

We have used Steve's services many times and he has always done an outstanding job.

He had two very professional painters. They were courteous, considerate, and excellent painters. They moved every piece of furniture and anything else that needed to be moved. They made sure to cover everything as well. We knew what time to expect them but they still called 30 minutes ahead of time to make sure we knew they were on their way. All in all, they did an excellent job. The price was also very competitive.

Steve and his crew are always fantastic and do a stellar job. We've used them other areas of our home as well. I called him the first week of June and explained our situation. We had our first baby on the way, due June 29th, and painting her room to get the nursery ready was something we just hadn't been able to get done. It was super short notice and during his busiest time of year, but he said he'd see what he could do to help. He called later that day and let me know that he'd get someone out for the job next week. The following Tuesday, Steve and his painter arrived early in the morning to assess the job and got it done by the end of the day. It was a huge help, as we had hoped to paint the room ourselves, but hadn't been able to with so many other things to prep for our baby's arrival. I really appreciate that he was able to accommodate us on such short notice and do such a great job. Our baby was born a week later. You're a life-saver, Steve! Thanks!

Mr. Rickleff scheduled my job on a rainy day, which was fine with me. It was a small job. His painters were on time, and very professional, they were fast, and left no mess at all! I will use them again on future projects.

Work was done in 2 full days and we were very pleased

They did a great job and the painting is beautiful. It was easy to make appointments. Steve, the owner, came out first to find out what I wanted. The workers were very good and knew what they were doing. They were very respectful. Steve made three trips during the final working to make sure everything was fine.

The painters came out and carefully prepped the drywall for each room, repairing dry-wall imperfections and wear and tear as needed. We had not painted the home since it had been built, almost 10 years ago, so, most of the drywall needed some careful attention in various locations. Rickleff even asked us if we were going to replace any vanity mirrors in the bathrooms, so they would know to fill the mounting holes from the existing hardware! Super touch! They did 1-3 rooms per day, and told us each night before they left, which rooms would be targeted the next day. This allowed us to clear each room before they got there, making things go very smoothly. Their painters all are full-time employees, and have been painting for many years. This was evident by their attention to detail and superb results. Anytime we needed some dry-wall spackling on spots we found later, was readily addressed. They used 2 coats on each wall, and sometimes, for the dark colors, 3 coats, as needed. We used a total of six colors, and opted for the Duration Matte paint, from Sherwin Williams, which turned out wonderfully! Since we wanted to avoid using high VOC paints (hence the decision for the Duration) because of the environment and our children, Steve Rickleff went out of his way to purchase and test no less than three different kinds of trim paint on our doors and trim, to show us how it would look. This really made it easy to select the proper trim paint and I applaud Steve for being so accomodating for us! When they finished the job, our home looked better than it did after it had been just built! Amazing results! Would definitely use them again - great job, Steve!

Mr. Rickleff came to my home to give a quote and he was very polite and professional at a time when I know he was leaving to go to London -- and it also was the holiday season -- but he didn't act hurried. I stated the time frame in which the work needed to be done. Contract signed. Two of his workmen came and did an expeditious, professional job. The were finished well within my timeframe. They finished the job quickly and extremely well. We have used them many years, going back almost thirty years ago, and they are absolute professionals. The price seemed very fair as well.

I had the second story of my residence painted. They were meticulous, professional and thoughtful. They kept me aware of their schedule. They told me what they were going to do, they did it then showed me what they did. Great follow up making sure that I was satisfied at every step . Would definitely recommend and would rehire. They are highly qualified painters and their work reflects their pride in their profession. A great team.

Steve and his crew did a great job. I had them paint my daughter's house following interior renovation. They performed extensive patching and repair work. The job was a bit challenging too, as previous painters had left "cracking" paint on walls that could not be covered. Steve found a primer and repaired the problem. His crew also immensely improved the kitchen "island" by coming up with a carpentry solution and replacing old wood with beadboard. It looks wonderful now! Steve was very communicative and conscientious. He took care of everything and vastly improved my daughter's home. His crew cleaned up every evening too. I would definitely recommend him and use his services again in the future!

Crews of 2 to 5 painters worked for two weeks to do the job. They removed the windows from the frames, removed all loose paint, and painted tops, bottoms, dies and insides, priming all bare wood. They painted several hard-to-reach high areas and all the routine soffit, fascia, and other trim. They were very tidy, punctual, and professional. The paint job is gorgeous. The house looks brand new. They washed all the window glass inside and out.

An excellent job was performed. The painters removed many items from the garage, repaired damage to ceiling and walls, repainted ceiling and walls and replaced all the stuff moved out of the garage so that the painting could be done.

A crew of 2 worked for 11 days. They arrived punctually despite snow. They vacuumed up all the sanding dust and kept the space very clean and as usable as possible given the nature of the work. The woodwork was all done by brush but looks as smooth as if it had been sprayed. This was the second major phase of my project so I left the painters alone in the house all day so that I could go to work and had no concerns. The workmanship is just beautiful.

The painters were punctual and a crew of 2 was provided for 8 days, The walls and woodwork were meticulously prepared: sanded and caulked. Two of the rooms required multiple coats of paint on the walls because dark colors were being replaced with lighter ones. The painters cleaned up all dust and debris extremely thoroughly. The cut lines are very sharp and the attention to detail was great.

As property manager for the house that was painted by Rickleff Sons & Daughters, the overall experience was very satisfying. Steve and his crew were able to finish on time for guests who were coming to stay at the house for a 3 1/2 month extended period from October 17, 2009 to February 5, 2010. The painting crew had full access to the house and cleaned up after themselves each day. The bill was properly itemized and within the original estimate. A point to remember for home owners,(given to me by Steve) was to wait 1 day after the paint has dried before bringing in a crew to clean the rugs. This allowes the paint to harden and not be prone to hose markings if the rug cleaning crew bumps the walls or baseboards with their cleaning hoses.

This is the 3rd time I've used Rickleff & Sons for exterior painting, on two different houses over the years. Steve Rickleff always returns my calls promptly, and he comes out to discuss the job within a couple of days of my initial call. He scheduled the work to begin within 3 weeks, and he uses employees that have been with him for 10 to 20 years, all of whom are extremely conscientious and professional. Once the job is complete, we do a walk-through and any minor details are cleaned up within a day or two. I believe his charges are competitive, and they do a superb job.

He gave us suggestions on colors as well as setting expectations for what the work would look like after it was done. There were a few areas that he said didn't need to be redone, so we left those alone. He called to ask questions when they were making judgment calls, cleaned up each day before they left, and exceeded expectations.

Kept appointments, or called in advance if he was going to miss one. Work was completed pretty much on schedule, given the surprises - found more rotten wood than expected on garage wall, necessitating complete tear-off and replacement. Because of that, final price exceeded original estimate, but justifiably so - I believe I still received value for money. Quality of workmanship was excellent; Steve employs extremely conscientious and capable workers. This was the second time in 10 years I've used Steve for exterior painting, and I would use him again.

He has done a great job and is very clean. Steve is very personable. We have had no problems whatsoever. We have used him for about thirty years now.
