W O W! Our chimney to our fireplace was a firebrick type (not an insert). The bricks were originally the same as were on our house. They were a softer brick and the chimney was West-facing. The chimney was crumbling. However, rather than just rebuild or replace, we wanted options. Ralph gave us several. The one we chose was a very hard surfaced brick which, while different from the house, did compliment it. It was done on schedule & budget.

The sidewalk and porch look fantastic. Aside from the quality product, I really appreciated the communication from Susan. A lot of good contractors don't realize how important this is to customers and despite their quality work, it can be frustrating to not know when and how things will happen. This was not the case with these guys. I also appreciate when the person doing the estimate is the owner or employee doing the work. I don't like when larger companies send a salesman to provide an estimate. Ralph did the work with his own guy and the quality shows.

We're a recently retired couple who had rain water soaked carpet. We had a company out to extract the water but couldn't find anyone to address the cause. I called Ralph Wood's to seek their services. We had lots of communication with Susan in regard to the issue. Susan said they weren't able to provide the service we needed, but she called a landscaper and found that landscaping would be our solution. Not only that but Susan sent a photo of the piping needed and drew a sketch of what we needed to do. We decided to do the job ourselves but kept the landscaping firm's number. We were able to dig the trench and lay the pipe ourselves. Hats off to Ralph and Susan for going above and beyond!

Great ! Ralph was out at my house next day for estimate , took time inspecting around entire house . Work was scheduled within a week . His crew and he did excellent work , on time ,professional . Quality was superb , can't notice where work was done because repair and replace matched house seemlessly . Couldn't be more impressed !

Amazing...the people were responsive and provided excellent advice. Scheduled sooner than I could imagine. A worker named Eddy did the job and he was fantastic. We could not have been happier with the results. Clean up was excellent.

Ralph suggested grinding out all the mortar to get a consistent look, and while it was a messy job, we are glad we followed his advice. The brick patio now looks brand new,

it was great he keeps the same people year after year gaurntees his work I wish more contractrors were like him. Dependable and HONESTY

Excellent - Ralph was prompt in coming out to review the job, and provide an estimate. He was able to meet our schedule of getting the work done before cold set in. His work crew were very professional and courteous, and very conscientious about cleaning up after the job. We are very happy with the work and have gotten many compliments on it already. Ralph is a very professional contractor - when materials were going to come in at a higher rate due to needed to replace more than originally thought - he let us know of the potential overrun before he began the project. He came and participated in the job too - did not just send his guys over and let it take care of itself. We would definitely use him again - in fact we are looking at using him to repair / replace our back patio in the spring.

Ralph completed the job within an agreed time table. His work looks perfect. He sealed the mortar when job was completed.950

Ralph Woods came out and looked at the job. He said that he would send an estimate. However an estimate was never received.

The new brick tiles were researched by this vendor so that they would match the existing tiles as well as possible. The placement of the new tiles was done with care, and then the tiles were mortared into place. A few days later everything was washed down and the remaining debris was taken away. The end result was truly super. I would heartily recommend this professional and HONEST vendor to anyone looking to have this type of work done on their home. Larry Hamlet

I did not have work done, since it was just for aesthetic reasons and I've already sold my house.

We were very happy with the work that Ralph and his crew completed. There were a lot of damaged mortar joints in various locations around our home and these were all cut out and replaced with new mortar, in some cases bricks had to be removed and replaced. Our front step also needed repair. All this was done with very good attention to detail, the repairs look great. The guys cleaned up at the end of each day and after the mortar had been allowed to set for a week Ralph came and washed the bricks down. We would highly recommend Ralph and if we need masonry work done in the future we will hire him again.

Great. Ralph and his team fit me into their schedule pretty quickly and did a great job. The front walk looks fabulous. They removed old brick and mortar and replaced all on my front walk. And they replaced bad bricks and bad mortar on the stoop. They were finished in a couple of days and cleaned up after themselves each day. Ralph even came back to powerwash the stoop so it looked shiny new like the walk. I am very pleased with the job they did and would hire them again for masonry work.

The job was done professionally from beginning to end. Other companies wanted to tear out the existing stairs and start over. Ralph felt they could be repaired and re-slated for a fraction of the cost. He had us look at the work at each step of the process to ensure that we were pleased with the results. Their workmanship was excellent and we would not hesitate to use them again.

Ralph was very responsive on quoting the job and doing the work. We have a 25 year old home which has 2 brick porches and a long brick sidewalk. Over the years, one of the porches settled which directed water back towards the house. The other brick porch was solid minus a number of bricks that had broken. The sidewalk was showing its age with multiple bricks eroded and one part of the sidewalk was sinking. Ralph, Edy and Tony did an outstanding job of matching his work with the rest of the porch and sidewalk. He used a combination of old brick and new brick to do the work. It is hard to tell where he did his work and the other areas. It blended very well. As with every repair, there are surprises that you find once you start the job. Our first surprise was the new brick that we had chose. We purchased new bricks to try to match the worn bricks in the walk. Ralph tactfully showed me that these bricks would work better if the were used upside down with the non-colored/non-textured side up. He pointed out that the bricks I had bought had different edges than the current bricks. He also said that the new bricks, on their back side, would age and match the older bricks better. He went through the whole pile to find bricks that already had some aging in them. He also used some of the broken porch bricks to match the sidewalk bricks. The porch looks great. His advice was spot-on. I'm glad I listened to him,. Our second surprise was on the porch that needed to be rebuilt. There was a water spigot on the wall next to the porch. When Ralph built up the porch to direct the water away from the house, we realized that the water spigot was going to be covered. Ralph simply moved the pipe up to a new position without having to call a plumber or delay the job. He did not charge me for the added work. I've had some other work done on my house recently, and i wish Ralph did other work because I would definitely use him and his guys.

Ralph did a great job assessing the various tasks needing repaired. The work has gone well. He is still wrapping up the projects, and I'm confident it will be great.

Mr. Woods promptly came to our home to see the work that we needed to have done and provided a quote via email later in the evening. After we accepted, he scheduled time within the week to start the work. His crew was able to work on the project during the weekday without the need for us to stay home from work, which was a big help. After making the repairs, they returned about a week later after the mortar had cured to do the final clean-up, again without our presence. We are extremely pleased with the work Mr. Woods and his crew performed and highly recommend them.

I got four quotes for the work. the quote were all over the place. not a good thing. Ralphs quote was not the cheapest but also not the most expensive. He was easy to work with and would work with him again.

Ralph came to look at the house on the day I called. He assessed the needs more thoroughly than other companies. He pointed out other problem areas and prioritized them for us. His estimate was quite reasonable. Our brick is laid in the clinker style which he and his assistants eplicated perfectly. They did excellent work. Business is well run. Professional workmanship. I will have him back next year to work on another area.

Great job, you can't even tell where the repairs were completed, it all blends together now. Very easy to work with.

Overall, I would recommend him. He was always punctual and his work was very good.
