I recently purchased a home which the inspection found elevated levels of Radon. Before reaching out to Radon Technology, I called three other companies. Each of these companies simply gave me a price and that was it. Radon Technology was the ONLY one who had to see the basement before coming up w a remediation solution. Based on having already talked to the other companies, I wasn't keen on taking the time to do this as I thought it to be unnecessary. However, this was the best decision and I'm so happy I went w Radon Technology. Instead of a blanket answer that may or may not work or be most efficient, Darrell came out and explained the process and why we were going to proceed as needed. I saved hundreds of dollars and the job was done right! I received a quote of $895 over the phone and through email. The workers were prompt and did an excellent job. They worked diligently for about 5 hours. They monitored the radon levels for two days and the reading was below 2 picoCuries. It was a good value.

Darrell came to my house late last year and assessed my situation. Before he would proceed he required that I get some work with my sump well and floor drain. I asked him if he could arrange to have this work done, and he said he would contact someone, but he never followed up with me. I worked with my HVAC contractor instead. (This was not cheap.) After having the work completed I contacted Darrell to take the next step, but he simply ignored my email. I contacted him again a couple of weeks ago to see if he would still do the work, and he said he would need to come out to quote the work. I asked him to tell me when he could come by, and I never heard from him again.

Darrell responded very quickly to my initial inquiry. Provided a very competitive quote. Showed up on-time, was very professional, answered all my questions. Great attention to detail and doing the job right as he re-worked some of the outside venting. Although the vent pipe looked fine to me, Darrell said it could be better so he spent an extra hour reworking the vent pipe at the top of a 2 story house. Great Job.

A radon test of my basement showed Radon levels above the EPA recommendations of 4.0. I contacted Tim Hinojosa of Radon Technology Company who came out to my house and examined my basement. He carefully reviewed my basement and briefed me on the methods for reducing Radon emissions. He then sent me a proposal carefully explaining all the details that needed to be done and the price for the work. He even included the expected annual costs to operate the system. I accepted the proposal. He and a coworker arrive right on the agreed time and date and went to work. Tim worked in the basement and his coworker worked outside. They were a real coordinated team. In about 3 and 1/2 hours they were done. The installation was very neat and everything was cleaned up. Tim left a Radon measurement device in my basement which was read several days later as 1.9. I was very pleased with the work and the results.

We had a radon system put in our home back in 2002 by a company who is still in business, but no longer does business Indiana. I noticed the other day, while in the basement, that the manometer on the system was registering 0 and I knew that something was wrong with the fan. I looked on Angies List and, based on reviews, came up with Radon Technology. I contacted the company by email to inquire about getting the fan replaced. I was emailed back relatively quickly by the owner, Tim, and we had several email exchanges concerning the type of fan, what I was seeing and the costs. I agreed to have him do the replacement. This was on a Wednesday and we scheduled a time on Friday for him to do the work. He ended up having a scheduling conflict, which he contacted me about, and we set up a time later on Friday. Tim showed up on time, looked at the situation and replaced the fan within about 20 minutes. The system is back up and working just like it should.

Tim was very responsive. He explained the whole process and answered all of my questions before installation. Tim was punctual and professional. He explained the process again to me when he arrived and showed me the system once the work was completed. Tim cleaned up his work area and left it exactly the same as before he started. We enjoyed working with Tim. The whole process was seamless. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a radon mitigation system.

This process was totally painless with Tim! I left a message for him, he called me back the same day. On the phone he walked me through the exact process, provided me a quote and got us scheduled within a week. He showed up on time, was incredibly courteous, had indoor and outdoor shoes (which I totally appreciated) and walked us through everything when he was done. Great! He was punctual and very responsive to our installation needs. He worked extra hard using an indoor path for the system rather than running a pipe along the outside/front of our house which would have required "camouflage" on our part to hide the pipe. We were very happy with his extra care and attention to detail!

Tim was great to work with for this. He knew exactly what system and how to install it to brinf the radon levels down. Very knowledgeable. Gave us good advices as well on the outside of the house to make it as aesthetically pleasing as possible. Pleasure to work with Tim!

It went perfectly. Tim at the company was extremely responsive and professional. The original blower motor was installed about 5 years ago and was still under warranty. He added a condensate bypass to hopefully extend the life of the outside blower motor. He was on time and quickly took care of the issue. The blower motor was still under warranty and the price for the service call and installation of the condensate bypass appeared very reasonable to me. I would use Radon Technology again in a heartbeat.

Over the phone, he asked several questions, which gave him enough information to accurately describe what he would have to do and how much it would cost. When he arrived at our house, he walked us to the mechanical room in the basement and explained the work he’d have the perform and what we could expect while he worked and after the work was completed. He performed the necessary work on schedule, despite the literally sub-zero temperatures. He was even conscientious about the fact that we had a new, clean carpet and took off his shoes while inside the house. Two days later, the radon test showed an acceptable average reading of 1.9 pCi/L. And Tim’s work came with a guarantee that the levels would remain below the EPA’s maximum acceptable level of 4.0 pCi/L for 5 years. We couldn’t be happier with Tim’s work and would highly recommend him.

Despite technical difficulties bringing levels down to within normal limits, Radon Technology kept coming back to take additional steps to bring the levels down at no additional cost. Tim responded quickly and gave a quote over the phone for a sump pit radon fan installation. Installation was scheduled within a week and proceeded on time. All questions were answered thoughtfully and patiently. Installation was thorough, well-explained, and well-labeled. Post-installation short-term radon monitoring showed a substantial reduction, well below EPA action levels, but we will confirm this with a follow-up long-term test.
