We built a 4,000 sq ft hom last March and have worked with many people before, during and since closing on our home. I can honestly say his services were some of the best (professional both in performance and how we were treated) as we've received from anybody. Even though it was a lot of money and I didn't quite shop around to know whether or not it was considered a great deal or not, I can honestly say it was money well spent because the problem was solved, everything looks great, I trusted him and his work, and I have no complaints....thus peace of mind.

Tim's 18 years of experience in this field is evident. He is professional and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all of my questions about how the system would work and where the pipes would be placed to have the least impact on our home cosmetically. No matter how stupid my questions were, he took the time to show and explain answers to all of them. Tim worked constantly for six hours running up and down stairs from the attic to the basement installing the equipment. I am pleased with the results and feel that our home is much safer now. Our radon level went from an 8 to a 0.7.

Tim was great! He twice gave good advice over the phone without even visiting. Once he did visit our home to determine why our radon level was above 10, he figured out that our fan had burned out and was able to replace it the same day. He even corrected some electrical issues with the system. A week after his visit, our radon levels are below 1. Highly recommended.

I called Radon Technology in Carmel along with several other competitors to get a quote for radon remediation. They were all with $100 of each other. They could come out in a couple of days and gave me a quote right then. He said he would install the sump cover and fan that runs up the outside of the house. Two days later, he would then take another radon reading to be sure the pump was doing it's job. The original reading before he started work was 14. The 24 test he ran came back at 2.4. It took him just over 4 hours to do all of the work. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and didn't mid explaining what he was doing and what to expect. We are quite happy with the work and will recommend him to our friends and neighbors. Very pleased.

The inspection of the condo showed a 12.2 radon rating. Tim installed a mitigation system that met all the requirements by the association and now the rating is 3.2. He communicated all the needs along the way and performed the installation when he said it would be done and did a great job!!

I had a very positive experience with this company. Tim is a knowledgeable professional, who's punctual and takes pride in his work. I have high expectations and Tim at Radon Technology met them all! Tim was very flexible in the installation process. Before he started working, he consulted with us and provided options on where we wanted pipes routed, where we wanted the system powered from, etc. We have independently tested radon levels in our home since the system was installed and the results were well below EPA guidelines. Bottom line, I am very satisfied with the work performed and would hire them again.

We contacted two contractors, both listed at the top of Angie's List, and the first contractor from Radon Environmental gave us a quote after having asked my wife several questions about the basement. Thus, without having seen the basement (though he assured us his experience was sufficient to know what to do), he gave us a quote well over a thousand dollars. Tim, in contrast, came to the house promptly, answered all of my questions as to why his assessment differed from the first contractor, and placed the system as described and without complication. All of that, and his quote was several hundred dollars less. He was very professional throughout, and we would definitely recommend him for any radon-related issues.

Tim came and did our work, he was very knowledgeable and professional. He answered all our questions before we hired him for the job, he was prompt with his responses to our e-mails or phone calls, and he explained everything very well afterward. When he did the test after the work was finished our radon levels dropped far below the recommended level. He left us with all the paper work explaining the operation of the system and the warranty. It was easy having him work in our home and he finished even sooner than he had estimated the job would take him to do. I would definitely use him again and totally recommend him. In the beginning we had contacted him and one other company by e-mail but the other company never responded and he did right away. We are extremely happy with his work and feel that our home is much safer.

Phone calls were always returned on a timely basis. Installation occurred exactly as scheduled and the installation looks and works great. Tim even took the time to paint the pipe through the roof black to match our plumbing vents.

I cant enough good about him. He has gotten alot of awards for being the guy that really gets the job done. HE did waht he said and did a good job. The quality of the work was great and he was very professional

Tim explained his fee structure and the 2 different possible fan costs, depending on fan size. We scheduled a time and when he discovered he would be late he called me. We agreed on the later time and when he arrived, he analyzed what we needed. He voluntarily removed his shoes while in the house, which was nice since it was a rainy day and he had to wear them in the attic (with loose insulation all around). He completed the fan replacement in the half hour he had predicted.

I contacted Tim to discuss Radon Mitigation systems and he answered all my questions in a very professional manner. He gave me an estimate for installation and there were no surprises. He showed up for the installation on time. His Radon mitigation system is tied in with my sump pump and he ran the PVC pipe through the crawlspace to the side of our home. He gave me several options on location of pipes and discussed pros and cons. His design and installation are of top quality. He installed the outside pipe at the corner of the house near some bushes and is barely noticeable. He explained the system, the minimal maintenance involved and answered all my questions. Following the two day test after installation of the Radon Mitigation system the radon level in my finished basement went from 6.2 to .7. If you need a Radon Mitigation system installed make sure you call Tim.

Very professional service, other places I contacted just wanted to quote a price and not explain the process and maintenance. Tim came out and did a great job. He put in one system and the level was still slightly high so he installed another at half the cost. Very efficient and easy to deal with. Great experience.

Tim is one of the true professionals left in the home contractor world. I solicited three bids to remove our high level of radon from our home. Tim was very forthcoming with his assessment of our situation, what it would take to remove the radon, and his quote was void of all of the extra "add-ons" that confused the matter and would have made for a very expensive removal. I called Tim after receiving his quote to ensure I understood the full scope, how long it would take, and if I was missing anything because the quote was so clean and clear compared to the others I received. Tim took the time to walk me through his solution, how he had completed systems similar to the one he quoted, how his approach differed, and was so patient as I asked all of my questions. I had some additional follow up questions, and called back a few days later. Tim promptly returned my phone call and continued to give me professional answers that showed me he had a passion and seriousness about his line of work. On the scheduled day of installation, several inches of snow fell the night before. I was curious to see if Tim would be able to complete the work, given that a majority of it would be outside. Tim called that morning to let me know he would be there at 9:00 am. He was right on time, and did a thorough walk through with me of exactly what was going to happen, where it was going to happen, and how long it was going to take. I was unsure of exactly where I wanted the outside pipe to go, and Tim gave me very realistic and sound advice, as if he was installing it on his own home rather than mine. Tim worked very diligently throughout the morning, including outdoors in the freezing wind and snow, and called me down to the basement for a question. Apparently, my sump pump was not working properly. Tim pointed out the issue and how important it was to not only my basement, but for the radon mitigation system itself. Tim diagnosed what the problem was, but had me call the sump pump installation plumbing company first. Tim said that if need be, he could help me install a new sump pump that day, which I thought was above the call of duty, given he came to install only a radon mitigation system. The plumbing company confirmed Tim's diagnosis, which turned out to be fixable without the plumber coming out. Tim even helped drill a weep hole into the sump pump system to ensure it would not encounter that problem in the future. This helped to confirm that Tim is out to satisfy his customers and do the job the right way, not just the cheap or fast way. Once he finished the installation, he called me down to the basement again to show me how the system works. The area where Tim was working was as clean, if not cleaner, as when he arrived. He picked up all of his debris, cleaned the area, and gave me a very understandable explanation of the system. Tim placed a radon detection system for four days and said he would come back to read it and review it with me. I thought for sure given the holidays, Tim would not call. I was wrong. Tim called on Christmas Eve, and very politely asked that if it would not intrude on our celebration, if he could come over to read the detection system and give us the final readout. Tim came shortly after, gave us the readout, which was an average of 0.7, which was well below the EPA threshold of 4.0. We were very pleased with the work Tim did and would absolutely recommend him to anyone. Tim does things the right way and is very humble after we gave him praise.

He arrived on time for the appointment, answered all my questions even as he was installing, and cleaned up after himself. He explained what happens now and left written documents that give me more information about radon and my installed system.

I called Radon Technology after reading the great comments on Angie's List. Tim called me back and I described our problem (radon fan began squealing and then appeared to seize up). He let me know pricing for a service call and approximate cost if the fan did in fact need to be replaced. I had taken the day off work and asked if there was any way he could get by the house that afternoon. Tim said he would be by in about three hours. He showed up right on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. We discovered the old fan had lasted 23 years! Tim said he had one similar on his truck but then said he had one exactly like it back at the shop. I thought since we had such good luck with the with last one it would be great to replace it with the same thing. Since we live close to his shop Tim offered to run back and pick up the new fan. He returned promptly and had it installed in no time. Even though he ran back to his shop, he said the job was so simple he only charged me for the new fan and the service call....no additional hourly charge! He had even taken the time to come inside to the basement and inspected the security of our sump pump cover. Now THAT'S customer service the way it used to be! Tim was knowledgeable, pleasant and efficient. Our radon service was back up and running in no time. We had a terrific experience with Radon Technology and I would enthusiastically recommend Tim to anyone needing this kind of service.
