Tim did a great job installing radon mitigation system in my basement. His work was done professionally and with great quality. I am very pleased with the work performed by him.

Home inspection and our radon level tested at 4.0. Annoying. Called Radon Technology and Tim was amazing. Answered the phone when I called and took the time to listen and gave me a quote over the phone. Came out within the business week and explained everything and came up with a good solution for where to put the system. Was very quick and explained it before and after. He set up the post test and came back in a three days to pick it up. Tested at .4. Yay! Very good price, very nice guy. Highly recommend.

I left a message at 11 am on 3/17 and Tim returned my call at 5 pm on 3/18. The other two estimates called me back the same day. They all said the "busy season" was about to start, but Tim said it had started already, early. His is the only one-man operation. Everything else was excellent. He gave me his estimate over the phone, as did all the companies. He sent me an email quote. I emailed back asking about the Angie's List discount. He returned a new estimate with $75 off. Our appointment was for 3/31 at 9 am. He called at 9:05 "I'll be there in about 15 mins." He said it would take 4-5 hours, and he was done by 1:30. He showed me what he was doing, answered my questions, and explained everything at the end. He left a 48 hour radon monitor in place and when he returned to pick it up he gave me a printout. We were not doing this to sell our house (as all the contractors assumed) but for our health. We tested our radon levels last summer at about 8. Safe is less than 4. After his installation the average was 0.8. His system guarantees to keep it below 4.0 for 5 years. Tim said the only part that eventually wears out is the fan motor--guaranteed for 5 years, but my neighbor's motor (installed by Tim) is still going after 10 years. The fan is very quiet. The system requires no maintenance, just periodically checking that it's working and every 2 years test the radon levels. We are very pleased.

Tim gave me an estimate over the phone after asking for details of my home's construction and layout. He showed up punctually as scheduled, and after determining that everything was just as it had been described, he confirmed the price and briefly described the scope of work and the system he was installing. When I expressed concern over the aesthetics of having a 3" plastic pipe jutting out from the exterior wall of the house 3 feet to get past the eave and then running vertically just past the gutter, he offered an alternative solution routing the piping through my garage and up through the roof where it would be out of sight. This was considerably more work, and the increase in price he advised me of in advance was quite reasonable. Tim worked quickly and efficiently, completing the job precisely according to his predicted schedule, and leaving everything clean and in good order. His work looks very professional, with the juncture where the pipe enters and leaves the garage perfectly tight and so neatly caulked that it looks like the system was here prior to the recent painting of the garage. Tim is a great example of what's good about going with a small owner/operator business. He did all the work himself, obviously prides himself on quality work and satisfying his customers, and inspires lots of confidence in his warranty and specialized knowledge of radon mitigation, which is the niche he's carved so well for himself to the benefit of his customers.

I liked that my initial phone call was answered by the guy who would be installing the system, so he was knowledgeable. Tim did a great job explaining how the system works. He seals the sump pump pit in the basement and runs a pipe out of the house. A fan forces the "radon" air outside. Tim was responsive to our concerns about keeping the pipe as hidden as possible. After the system was installed, Tim did a test to check radon levels in the basement to make sure the levels were below the recommended EPA limits. At first, the levels were still a bit high, so Tim installed a larger fan, which did the trick. He was thorough, professional, and cost competitive.

It was perfect. My initial radon reading was 4.2 but after the installation it went to 0.8 (avg.). Tim was very responsive and punctual. He suggested best ways to install the system and provided the important details about the system.

Tim explained over the phone what type of system our house would require and quoted a price. He addressed all my questions and concerns. Then he came on the day of the appointment and installed the system. It goes over my sump pump pit, so he showed me how to access the sump pumps. When he was done he left a radon tester and ran a 48-hour test. The system reduced the radon to acceptable levels.

The first install in the basement brought the level from 9.7 to 4.8 then he installed the system on the second sump pump but the level did not change. He came back and installed in the crawl space and that brought the level to an average of 2.6. Tim did a great job and was professional and a really great guy. Tim was very professional and did a great job putting the system where my buyer wanted it. Radon level testing couldn't be completed after the installation because of the closing and new owner moving in. But Tim worked with me on getting me everything I needed for the closing. And sent guarantee that he would work with new owner until acceptable levels were reached. Tim made the installation process easy. I was very pleased!!

He was excellent. He didn't use any subcontractors and did all the work himself. He was able to install it in a day and we can barely hear the fan.

Tim was very thorough in his work. The reading came at 1.0 average over 48hour period after the installation. Which is way below the accepted 4.0. (my reading before the system was installed was 16.0). Very happy with the installation and professionalism of Tim. Would highly recommend.

Tim was awesome. we had two other contractors come to our house and they were clueless as to how to install the system and make it aesthetically reasonable. Tim came and took care of the issue in a very professional manner. I highly recommend him.

After getting results from a 90 day test indicating need for mediation, I called Tim and he promptly scheduled an appointment as well as giving me a couple of estimates based on my description of our house and possible installation options. He arrived on time and proceeded to explore several installation choices based on basement sump line location and attic fan/roof vent options. We agreed with his assessment, and he proceeded with the installation. He is obviously well versed in his field of expertise as well as home construction in general. He worked in a quick, seamless, professional manner. He was courteous and answered all of our questions to our satisfaction. Upon completion he ran a new test for a few days that brought the radon levels within EPA limits. The fan and EPA level were warranted for five years.

Tim was VERY professional over the phone and in person. Showed up exactly on time completed the work within the estimate he gave. Came back a week later to collect the tester. We went from having a 6pCi/L to .9pCi/L reading. Work is guaranteed for 5 years. I would recommend Tim to anyone.

I called Radon Technology on Thursday afternoon and left a voice mail. Tim called back a couple hours later. After asking me several questions about my home, he stated the cost would be $895. He said he could do the work the following Monday morning. On Monday he arrived at the appointed time. He was professional, friendly, and answered all our questions thoroughly. The job took about 2 1/2 hours including cleaning up. He then explained in detail how the system works. Two days after installation he returned to retrieve his meter that showed what the current radon level was. It measured 0.8. which was much lower than the earlier level of 9.3. I was very happy with Tim, his expertise, and the promptness of scheduling the job. I would recommend Radon Technology.

I originally had the system installed in Feb 2010. Tim was punctual, showed up on time, cleaned up after himself, and did a great job on the installation. System has been wring fine since the installation. What set Tim, the owner of the company, apart from others was his responsiveness to a recent high radon test. We sold our home and the buyer's inspection report came back with a high radon reading of 4.0 pCi/l. I called Tim on a Monday morning and he got back to me that evening. We talked about the system, and that everything seemed to be operating correctly, but we had a high Radon reading on a recent test. I forwarded him a copy of the results and he was able to come 2days later on Wednesday to look at the system. Everything seemed to be working correctly. He perfumed 2 radon tests, one with a charcoal canister and the other with a continuous radon monitor. He came back to the home on Friday, collected everything, and took the canister test to an independent lab to be analyzed. On Monday he sent me a letter with the test results stating that the radon levels were within acceptable levels ( continuous monitoring average of 0.7pCi/l, and charcoal canister lab test of <0.5 pCi/l. He couldn't explain why the inspectors test came back high at 4.0, but everything is working fine. Best yet, he didn't charge me for the recent work and tests. The system was still under warranty, but was installed 4 years ago. Was pleasantly surprised to not be charged for Tim to check everything out and perform the testing he did. Tim was very patient in answering all our questions and explaining the process. He worked hard, and quickly. He was conscientious in choosing a location for the outside pipe as to not be an eyesore. I would definitely recommend him.

After learning about high levels of radon in neighboring houses, I purchased a DIY test kit at a local home improvement store. The results indicated that the house measured more than six times the EPA's recommended 'action level.' I spoke with two highly-rated radon mitigation system providers and selected Radon Technology. Both providers offered similar services and guarantees, but even with the other vendor offering a $75 member discount --Tim was still $140 cheaper. He was also available to complete the installation a week sooner than the other vendor. I couldn't be happier with the work that Tim completed. He was prompt, courteous and clearly takes pride in his work. Tim finished the job in about three hours and the radon levels in the house are now at EPA-recommended levels. I highly recommend Tim to anyone needing radon-related services.
