Description of Work: Tom Phelps put in new flashing around deck, repaired bad pieces and had it painted/stained. He also raised the front walk step and repaired a few other items before we could sell the house. Mr. Phelps was very knowledgeable and skilled, and I didn't feel he would over charge me. If we had not moved out of the area, we would definitely hire him again.

+ -1 morePut in 3 6X6 posts and extended the roof-line to replace old metal awning and create larger patio area. He did it with treated lumber, beams 16'' apart. We supplied the shingles. This is the third time we have asked Tom and Co. to do work for us, and again we are very pleased.

+ -1 moreOur porch gutters had leaked over a long period of time, causing the wood over the porch to rot. Tom and co. replaced it for us - some wood had to be cut to make a curve, and some wood had to actually be curved. This is the second time Tom has done work for us, and again we are very pleased. I believe his work is high quality, he is easy to contact and prompt in returning calls, and he is professional and pleasant to work with. On both times he has done work for us, he has had a 1-2 day delay in getting to my job from his estimated start date but I consider this a very minor matter.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced rotten wood from porch.

The porch was screened in and Mr. Phelps et al removed all the screening and added wooden railings and wooden steps; the work they do is excellent, and they left no trash for me to pick up, which was very nice. The only minor (very minor) issue I had was they did not show up on the day scheduled, and we had to call to find that out; however, they did show up the next day and finished the project quickly. I was very pleased.
