Perfect!! I had first called a larger firm that advertises on TV a lot, but was weary of their approach and pricing. They also tried to sell me add'l products to add on to my furnace. I then remembered Bob Pepper and his firm as I was deciding who to call for a 2nd opinion. They had done work for me in the past. They stopped by my house on their way home from their last job of the day to confirm the blower was out and to obtain a part number. After picking up the part the next morning, they came by, cleaned my furnace along with installing the new blower and capacitor. For less to boot!! Remember, always get a 2nd opinion,and bigger isn't always better

It was just a regular service call for regular maintenance. They're just real dependable and trustworthy. The workers are great.

Excellent service and workmanship, as always. I have hired Bob as my HVAC service guy for almost 10 years now. He always strikes a good balance between cost and effectiveness in his recommendations. Today he caught a problem that would have shut down my furnace before long, and he fixed it during his regular service call. One of the drain lines was clogged and he cleared it -- no new parts were required.

I have used Pepper Heating and Air Conditioning for several years. Bob Pepper has always gone out of his way to work us into his schedule. He has worked with us to keep our Heat Pump running for as long as it was feasible and has always been honest about our options. We are now waiting on an estimate to replace the unit.

Bob Pepper and his team are honest, timely and professional! Our air conditioner went out during a very busy time for us. Bob knew we were expecting company and he was not going to be able to install until after the weekend. He came out and without charging got us temporarly up and running for the weekend. (This temporary fix cost us $378 the previous year with another company!) The install was on time and went great! I had an issue with another heating and cooling company on a humidifier install. They did not put a sensor on the outside of my house as requested. Bob went ahead and did this for me, again without extra change. He has my business for as long as he is in business! I have referred Pepper Heating and Air Conditioning to others and their experience has been the same.

Mr. Pepper called me back within 10 minutes after i left a message. (after hours), to let me know they don't fix water heaters. He could have just deleted call. But he took time to give me a call. Very nice.

He was very nice and the owner himself came out. He was neat and on time and we were happy with the service.

Beautiful! When I got there at the appointed time, they were already working on the Central AC from the outside. Told me my unit was just fine, needed a little tune up. Did not try to sell me something I did not need. Prior AC and quot;specialistand quot; told me 5 years ago the unit was on it's last leg. Pepper told me I should use up what I already paid for before buying new. That sold me! Set up an annual contract to provide service on AC and Furnace once a year (which is included in the cost above). And....when I do need to replace, guess who I will be calling?

The technician was on time. Actually he was early, which is great. I'm not ready to replace my whole system yet. I was glad that I got no pressure whatsoever about buying a new system. Technician was proficient and very friendly. I would not hesitate to have him, or any other Pepper technician come out again. I don't know how the price compares to other companies but I was satisfied. Since having this house (2003) I have only used Pepper when it comes to things I can't do myself. I have been able to fix the heat pump defrost temperature switch, defrost control board (twice) and the fan capacitor (twice) myself. I'm not certified to do anything with the coolant, so that's where Pepper comes in. Once I couldn't find the fault with the defrost cycle and had Pepper come out. They seem like kind of a and quot;Mom and Popand quot; operation, which is fine by me.

They are wonderful, always on time, and very courteous. If they can do something to help you save money, they tell you about it and let you make the decision. I think they have given very good advice. They don't charge for things you didn't originally think you wanted.

Overall: very well. We tried to diagnose over the telephone. Not something I could fix, so they came out the same evening. Got the furnace functioning and showed me how to try to restart if it stops again before they got back with the needed part.

They are a small company and they don't give you a sales pitch. They came well recommended by family members and they did the job for around half or less of what the competition would have charged us. They do what the say they will do at a very reasonable price and very professionally. They did a fine job.

Their work is good. They are responsive and honest. They are very good to work with.

AWFUL! Don't even take the chance. Too many other good service providers out there. I called Pepper Heating and Cooling on Wednesday, September 2nd. Bob Pepper (owner) answered the phone. I informed him that my A/C is out for the exact same reasons as before (freezing up) and that it was very hot in my home with a sick child. Bob informed me that the earliest he could repair the unit was 2 days out. I informed him that 2 days was long vs. competition (one or two hours at your door), but felt that I had no choice because I needed Bob to "finish" the job in which I already paid service charges (return on pre-paid investment). Sounds logical, right? That was a poor decision on my part. After waiting the two days (not for parts just service), I arrived home to a invoice of $242.50. Itemized: $90 for 3 lbs of freon, $60 for filter and ANOTHER SERVICE CHARGE of $80 for "rinsing outdoor coil, running test operation (turning on/off) with a NOTE: Need to set-up ANOTHER time for leak check. Of course after waiting two days and this being the 3rd time for the SAME problem, I was unsatisfied. I called Bob and he informed me that he did not have time to do the necessary check for the real problem. So I said, you only did the work that you've performed 3 other times (adding freon) and he replied yes. I asked how much time it would have taken to determine the "real" problem. He said one (1) hour to an hour and half and did not have that kind of time today. After waiting two days for service, I again expressed to him my disappointment. He didn't seem to care and offered no apologies. I explained to him that in the last two days, I checked with two other service providers on Angie's List, both saying that the problem should have been fixed at least the second time for sure and that I should not incur a service charge. I asked him why the second service charge for an issue that he did not fix the 2 previous visits (which I paid both times) and his response was that he has to make money like everyone else. I said for the same issue that you did not fix before, that's double and triple charging for the same service? He told me in an angry tone to "shut up" and that someone else can fix it and hung up. Folks, I'm an HR executive for a Fortune 200 company, and never experienced this before in my life. I only wish that I would have read another "F" Bob received on October 5th, 2007. I would not have taken a chance.

I like that they are a small company. I can depend on them and trust them. I have been using them for about 15 years and haven't had any problems with them.

They are straight to the point, and they don't try to sell you on service. They are a small family-friendly company. They tell you straight up what it will cost, and they won't try to oversell anything. They came in and made their recommendations, and then explained without giving you a big sales pitch.

We have a yearly contract with them. Their price is great. Their schedule is flexible. They do their best to save us money. They were courteous and kind when I was dealing with them.

They installed a new furnace for me a few years ago. They were very prompt at that time and were able to get all the work done in one day. They are just great to work with and I will continue to use them and have even referred them to a neighbor. The approximate cost listed is what I pay per year.

Awful. The owner is one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. We have redone 3 homes, top to bottom. We have dealt with just about every type of service man available (flooring, HVAC, roofing, plumbing, subcontractors, painters, windows, gutters, ect.) and I would rank this company in the top 2 worst in 6 years. We've already had 2 parts replaced on our air conditioner (and those were done in the first 4 months). Both times it was horrible trying to get them out, and my husband had to actually get in a shouting match with the owner to get our new part put in. It has been HORRIBLE! I would run from this company. The men he has on staff are nice but don't seem to know exactly what they are doing. One even told me that they had been late to the appointment they had scheduled with me (by over 2 hours) because "a colts player had called that morning" and they decided to head to his house before mine. RUN!!!!!!!

I use them on a regular basis. They did a nice job in repairs. Very courteous.

Awful.. How did we go from a unit in great shape to one in need of total replacement?? We gave owner time to rectify situation, asking only that he replace the compressor that his techs had obviously ruined. We accepted a compromise that he would supply all labor and we would pay for the compressor. We were dealing with 90+ degree days and a valuable wine collection to protect. Bob Pepper was to find a compressor and call back the same day to schedule the repairs for the next day. TWO and a half days later he calls with some lame story that he'd had trouble locating the part. The same day I talked to him I called another company myself and found 5 in stock and he couldn't find them? We had no choice but to get repairs elsewhere. We asked for reimbursement-he won't respond. Suit filed in small claims court in Sept.

I have used Bob Pepper's company for years and his service is great. His people are professional. They show up on time or early and get the work done in an efficient manner. His estimates are also right on. He worked with us and presented us with a couple of alternative systems and once we selected the unit he helped submit some of the rebates to Duke Energy which was great.

Perfect. The man who serviced the furnace was excellent and thorough, he recommended a filter for our furnace, we were using the wrong kind. He ordered it for us and dropped it off a few days later. Last weekend we had our AC unit serviced, it was SUPER dirty (we just bought the house a few months ago and it was in need of some attention) and had a faulty switch. The man took his time, was courteous, and even took my husband over after he was done to give him some advice on how to run it and keep us from having to call unnecessarily for future maintenance. I was very pleased with everyone from this company.
