There were a few hiccups, a couple on my end and a couple on their end. Dan was always available and responsive, came back to the house as many times as needed to correct the issues. The shower looks amazing and I couldn't be happier. Thank you!

Dan installed a ceiling fan in our master bedroom, installed bedroom lights in our boys bedrooms, and swapped electrical outlets in the kitchen in order to relocate one of them with a USB charger to a more convenient location. I thought the price was fair for the work performed, and the quality of the install was good. I will not hesitate to contact Dan again for future services.

Dan and his crew arrived on time when scheduled. The work was satisfactory, but not outstanding. Dan's personal work was very good, but some of his crew did only an OK, not great job.

Mr. Handy Dan's rating is misleading. Angie's list does not take into account any "F" rating for experiences before an Angie's List member actually purchases services. "F" ratings he received because he didn't show or didn't return when expected (per reviews posted) were therefore ineligible according to Angie's List Customer Service. These are first-hand experiences. It is unfortunate that all ratings are not factored in for an accurate rating that members can consider. Mr Higgins always has reasons or excuses to contradict poor reviews posted on Angie's List as well as his work. Members expect companies to defend their livelihood regardless of the accuracy of the review. I expect Mr Higgins to counter this review as well, as consistent in his inability to take responsibility for his commitments and work.

I could not have had better service. Handy Dan was responsive (got me on the schedule the next day to fix my broken faucet) and had everything needed to make the repairs. He arrived promptly and got right to work - and after completing the work he even disposed of all of the removed equipment. Everything was in excellent working condition and the area was just as clean as when he started. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again for any general household repair.

Dan was on time, professional and extremely courteous. I wanted him to wire in a new NEMA 6-50 plug for my EVSE (car charger) so I could charge my car quicker and more efficiently. It took him about an hour to complete the install. As I did not have the EVSE at the time, he simply installed the plug in a convenient location. But, once I received the EVSE, I realized that the plug needed to be rotated 90 degrees to make it work. Dan came out the next day and did that as well. Will use Dan exclusively from here on out.

Dan was terrific. He was extremely professional and did an outstanding job. The installation of the bathroom lights needed electrical work and drywall work. The drywall work looks like it was the original. Fantastic job, highly recommend to all. I have more work for Dan already. Can't wait to use him again.

Thank goodness for Dan. Another provider cancelled on us with hours to go before we had to respond to the buyer's inspection request. He answered when I called and graciously took his lunch break and part of his personal time in the evening to get us quotes in writing in time to respond. He was able to work us in fairly quickly and worked with us through the mild crisis of some siding we had ordered for him to replace not showing up at the store we ordered it from. He even went up and got it himself after I explained the dilemma (and it finally came in). The price was reasonable and he and Paul finished things quickly and efficiently. Dan definitely made a very stressful time a little easier. If we weren't moving out of state we would definitely use him again. And it's nice that he does the work himself.

Excellent. Have your list ready because Dan is very quick and charges by the hour. He fixed everything on my list including door that wouldn't close properly.

Dan came out and provided an estimate and evaluation of a potential plumbing issue and turned out to be a very simple fix. Dan was very honest and easy to understand, and even provided great homeownership tips. Thanks Dan! Will be calling you again!

First off, let me preface: Home Depot was the worst experience we've ever had in terms of ordering product. We had damaged good after damaged good, delay after delay because of them. That being said, Dan was one of the most patient and understanding people I've ever met. He talked through why we didn't want to use the damaged pieces and how they were damaged. He even helped us explain to Home Depot the exact problem that had occurred so it could be remedied. Because of all the delays and the unique nature of some of our projects (namely the converted pocket door to doggy/baby gate), Dan had to make several trips to and from our house. He was always extremely pleasant, explained each aspect of the project, and explained what had to be done to rectify the most recent problem Home Depot had created. On top of that, on his first visit one of our dogs (we jokingly referred to her the remainder of the time he worked at our house as "the killer") snapped at Dan. Even though that could have been a major issue, Dan was understanding and by the end of the 4 months (YES, Home Depot caused the projects to be extended that long), "The Killer" and our other dog "The Coward" were Dan's best friends. When you speak with him, ask him about those two. They miss him! His crew is amazing as well: Paul does a wonderful job painting and is extremely friendly. Chris was a delight. Every time he was at our house, he worked quickly, diligently, and did so without sacrificing any quality. The jobs were done and Our only issue was that, on occasion, Dan was difficult to get a hold of. All you have to do is be patient and direct with your expectations. Bottom line: Dan did an incredible job. Be honest and direct with what you want and he will not disappoint. Thank you, Dan for an great experience on our first home renovation!

I was selling my home and had quite the list of repairs needed per inspection of the new buyer, like all the things listed above. I think Mr. Handy Dan's pricing is very reasonable considering the amount of work I needed to have done. I had called an electrician out to do some other electrical, but they wanted to do much more than what was requested, and of course charge for the work. I called Mr. Handy Dan, and I scheduled an appointment for a estimate for just what was on the list, and he did exactly that. Since I had quite the list of things to have done, it was not all able to be done in one day, and also there was a foot of snow on the ground, keeping him from burying electrical wire to my detached garage. We actually had to wait for the weather to clear, and the ground to thaw so he could finish the job. I paid him as the repairs were completed and he was very efficient and had a crew of workers with him to aid in time spent on the job. I gave him a B on the punctuality only because he was a little behind schedule, but also I understood because he is a very busy man. He was trying to finish up jobs as quick as possible, and as everyone knows, sometimes "stuff' happens unexpected when trying to complete a project that you couldn't have seen coming until you have already dug into it. Overall, I would recommend him for any project. Very professional, and a very knowledgeable, likeable guy. He was very informative of today's code, but still stuck to the task at hand not trying to find ways to increase cost. They took my inspection report and pointed out some things that were missed, and things they could do to fix what was required with low cost in mind.

When he left our house after we walked through, he said he would have an estimate by the next day, and would email that to us. After a week, I had not received an email. I sent an email to him, asking for an update but never got at response. After another week or so went by with no response, I called and left a message. I have yet to hear back from him, 2+ weeks later. I was very disappointed. I had gotten a referral to him from a co-worker, so I expected a much better experience. If he didn't want to take on the job, that's fine - I would just expect a call back so that we could move on and find someone else.

Mr. Dan is my hero! Our shower arm just broke off one day in the middle of taking a shower. This particular shower is easier for my mother to access b/c of her bad knees so I needed this to get fixed fairly soon. I emailed Dan on a Friday morning (because I know he prefers emails) to schedule an appointment. I honestly thought it would be a week before he could squeeze me in. Late that same day Dan called saying he could come right then. Unfortunately, we had guests coming for dinner and I had things to prepare, but Dan worked me in for the following Monday and showed up promptly at 3PM as scheduled. In less than an hour I had a new shower arm & shower head. Dan was even able to replace a faulty connection hose on our toilet. I am so grateful to Dan for working me in to his busy schedule. He always does a fine job and is great to work with. We especially appreciate Dan's honesty. We recognize that Dan is very busy, so understanding this and having flexibility is important, but once Dan arrives he's all yours!! We have several other repairs to do and projects planned and look forward to having Dan do these for us.

I needed this job quickly. I called Dan and he thankfully fit me in the same day! He is friendly and did great work. I would definitely recommend him.

It was excellent. He was very careful. They showed up on time- he had a team of three people and so there were plenty of people to get the job done. It was economical compared to other electricians.

Excellent response time. Work preformed in a timely manner. Serviceman was very professional.

Dan came in with two other employees. They were professional and efficient. Instead of saying I needed to buy a whole new screen door and replace the track for my pantry door, they found a way to repair it. One of the employees even went out to a hardware store to see if a part existed so I wouldn't have to replace the entire screen door. At the end of the job, Dan patiently walked around with the me as I made a "wish list" of other projects I would like to get done around the house. I'm pretty picky and know what to look for- and would happily use Handy Dan's services again.

Everything is working great, I don't have to go from the back to the front to answer the doors. The remote system has a different ring tone for each door. The price included the labor and the doorbells. Rick Cox is the handyman that I work with and call when I need something done. I have used the company approximately 5 times, and have several more projects that I'm scheduling in the near future.

I'd had several different contractors in to look at my crawl space to assess some work based on a recent inspection. They all had different opinions on what it needed and how much it was going to cost. Dan quoted the project over the phone, sight unseen, so when he and Paul showed up to do the job I fully expected him to tell me it was going to cost more than he originally quoted. He didn't, which was SO refreshing after all the contractors I'd talked to up to that point. In addition, he and Paul showed up on time with all the materials they needed and knocked the job out quickly. They were pleasant to work with and did what they said they were going to do. I couldn't ask for more. :)

Dan was very responsive and professional. Paul did the work and his attention to detail and overall quality are top notch!
