Mr Handy Dan LLC

This is the second time we have utilized the services of Dan. He is very good and we would recommend him.

Excellent, price was very fair and they did a great job.

The quality of work was fine and I recommend them.

He's very busy, so I'm glad he was able to work us in to his schedule.

We needed 7 ceiling fans installed in our new house. I found Mr Handy Dan on Angie's List and he came out a couple of days later and installed all 7 fans. All of the fans look great and we haven't had any problems with any of them.

I purchased a large Native American rug but was unsure how to hang it on my living room wall. Dan came out to my house, took a look at the rug, and suggested that I purchase some heavy duty velcro tape and a long length of wood 3 inches in width. When I obtained the materials, he came back out and hung the rug in 15 minutes.

It wnet great. I would definately recommend Dan for any household handyman services.

Dan & Woody both did an excellent job performing all of the requested tasks from the initial quote right thru the cleanup and haul-away. When we need a handyman in the future there's no doubt that we'll be calling them first!

Everything went very well. He was efficient and skilled at his work. I will definitely be hiring him again.

Mr. Handy Dan was prompt, professional, accurate, and reasonable. He took time to ask the appropriate questions, offer specific suggesions, and even went to the store to buy additional items (that we thought we had, but didn't). He is credible, licensed, insured, and instills confidence in his work -- all while being down-to-earth and friendly.

Handy Dan set an appointment time to come to our home to provide an estimate for some services. He never showed up at the appointed time, and also never responded to or returned our phone calls afterwards. VERY unprofessional in my opinion.

I think he did real well. He is a good communicator. He is reasonable and did a good job. Very knowledgeable.

On a thursday at 9:30pm, after I had removed a stormdoor and the lower section of a doorframe to replace some rotting wood, I realized I had neither the time or the talent to fix the frame properly. I had a showing in a little over 36 hours and this was going to make a horrible first impression. I got on Angies list and started looking for door repair and read some of the reviews for the top rated people. I called Dan first based on his reviews and his proximity to my house. I was expecting an answering machine, but he answered the phone. I needed help and I needed it fast. He said he would be able to come over on Friday afternoon. Even then I was not hopeful it could be repaired in time. On Friday, he called early in the morning and said he was able to come over. He came over, looked at the issue, and said how much it would be and said he would fix it. I then said that I had some other doors that needed to be replaced because my other door guy had not shown up. His co-worker started working on those and Dan started working on the big door problem. In 4 hours they were finished with both tasks, and you can not even tell that there was any problem with the door or that anything had been replaced, it looked brand new, and the storm door functioned better then ever before. I even asked about a closet that another handyman was going to look at, a closet which had never worked right in 8 years. He noticed the bracket was the wrong type, and I was able to fix it myself that evening. He even tacked up the trim above the closet for me, no charge. I know some people get busy or in high demand from time to time, but getting this guy is well worth it.

My wife and I were absolutely happy with Dan's knowledge of handyman projects. His expertise covered all the interior work we had planned.

I called Mr Dan Handy Man, based on reviews on this site. The first time I called, he said he was on a ladder and asked me to send an email, which I did, detailing what I was interested in.I did this, and followed up a few days later. We had scheduled an appointment for a week or so later, for him to come out and give me an estimate. He never showed up.I understand that a small business owner can be really busy. I even told him in the second call, "just tell me if you are too busy and I will call someone else. No harm, no foul."

He's worked us for many times over the past year or so. He's been great. This last time he didn't even charge for the small service. He's even given me free advice over the phone! He also stows & retrieves out deck furniture ever year - twice a year.

We have also used Dan for years for all types of projects around the house. We have used him for work on our previous three houses and plan to use him in our new home that we just purchased. Dan always provides very fair and competitive quotes, takes pride in his work and has always been prompt and professional with us. Any time anyone asks if I "have a guy" for work on a house, I send them to Dan!

I was very impressed with him, we were very pleased. I have recommended other people to him. I had checked the pricing with a couple of other people first. He gave us a flat price and our job was little trickier than most because he had to pull all the electrical because there hadn't been one before, but he stuck with the price he promised.

Any or all of his work was bad. Anything you asked him to do, he tried to get out of it. It just wasn't good. Whatever he did was crappy. He said he would show up, and he didn't show up. He was responsive. He would look at you and tell you he's not going to do it. I would want Angie's List to take him off the list. I wouldn't want other people to go through what we went through. I would say that he's a con man.

He didn't call me back right away, he did a good job fixing the tubing though.

He is doing a wonderful job. So far I have paid him $1,000 and it is going to end up being about $2,900. I am recommending him to all my friends.

He is very responsive, gave estimates that he kept to, felt comfortable leaving him in our house alone, always cleaned up, everything installed as needed, flexible.

Asked Dan for an estimate to clean, paint and install organizing storage units in garage. Punctual for appointment, but substantial delay in getting an estimate back to me, and after a reminder ultimately told me to contact one of the companies that does proprietary garage organization units.

Dan was very responsive. He talked through pricing on the phone with me and was available to come within the next day or two. He was very friendly and professional as he worked through my task list. He patched a huge hole in the wall, and we wanted him to hang a shelving unit above it. We also wanted to paint the room and initially figured that we would have Dan repair the wall and hang the unit, and we would paint after both tasks were done. However, he was willing to come back after we painted to hang the unit -- so we did the job in the most logical order. My small issue is that when he returned to hang the shelving, I asked Dan for an estimate re: an additional job. But he never got back to me. I did both email and call him and ask him to let me know if he wasn't interested in that particular job, but unfortunately, I haven't heard back from him. I assume he didn't want to do it.
